Loved this salon! I'm from out of town and I decided to get my nails done last minute, I called around to a few places to see if they could get me in and no one was willing to since they closed in 30 minutes. I called Ski Nails even though they closed in 25 minutes they let me and my 2 friends come in! The atmosphere is clean, new and nice. The light blue pedicure bowls were adorable! Made an appointment for both a manicure and pedicure because of all the 5 star reviews. However, extremely disappointed with the service. The lady did my nails did not use tools instead, she used her nails, yes her nails to push back my cuticles despite the tools are right there on the table. . She was not happy and very impatient when I told her my nail shape is not even. The entire process felt rushed and she was being really rough with both my hands and feet. She took less time to do the manicure and pedicure than those people who were there just for one service. read more

They were easy to get into on Memorial Day when other salons were closed. The results were horrible. The nails had different lengths, the acrylic on two of the nails is bumpy, some are thick, some thin, some with a rounded top and some square. When trying to question about the shape and length - the technician yelled back. And to top it off, the technician dropped a nail on the floor, proceeded to pick it up and glue it on! This was not me - it was my teenage daughter who came home horrified with what had just happened and didn't have the skills to deal with the rude technician and sub-par service. I was shocked at what her nails looked like - and that she had just paid $45. This is the third time I have had people complain to me about this salon. I suggest calling in and making an appointment. They are typically busy but well worth the wait. I've had each nail tech work on me and they're amazing but Vivian is my favorite tech there. Best nail experience that I've ever had. My mom and I went while my husband was snowboarding this past December when I was 6 months pregnant. We popped in on a weekday morning, with a few snowflakes falling outside. We scheduled an appointment ahead of time. I thought it would be slow and it sure was - it was just me and my mom there. We were greeted kindly and the owner and her daughter-in-law did our nails. The environment was so peaceful and relaxing but most importantly, they did a STELLAR job on our nails. My mom was equally impressed. They took their time and did the job right. My toe nail polish lasted weeks too, which is always a good sign. I highly recommend this spot, if you're in the area! I went in to get my acrylic nails taken off. This was the cleanest and most detail oriented nail service I've had. The woman who did my manicure was so gentle and took care to not break any of my already fragile nails. I had a gel manicure done as well and it looks awesome. I was in and out of there in an hour. Ski Nails is the coolest place to get your manicure and pedicure. If you want regular polish they have more than 300 colors (I counted one day) and about 250 shellac colors (my favorite). They also just got 6 chrome colors in today. I've been going almost since they opened and know Sarah from a previous shop. I was so excited to have found her after she left the last place. This is her shop, her very own, and she takes great pride in it. It's a beautiful place and very very clean - and quiet, unlike many/most nail salons. Her son, Mike, and daughter-in-law, Vivian, also work there. They are all great. What's really cool is they have various pedicures that I've not seen elsewhere. I won't go anywhere else. read more

I live out of town and needed my nails done while here for work. They say they take walk- ins. I drove 20 minutes from my hotel to get here because of the great Yelp reviews. I walk in and ask for a fill. There are 5 workers and zero customers. She asks if I can come back in 1 hour... what? So they may do great nails. Worst manicure experience I've ever had. I walked in, (they say they welcome walk ins) and was rushed through my manicure in order to help another walk in that was a "regular". Not only did they shape my nails all differently and unevenly, they commented on how ugly the color I chose was. There was no cuticle cutting, no lotion or oil added after. I went home and cut my nails to fix the shape. Two days later, my gel has already chipped and peeled, which I've never had happen. I will not be going back. read more

Great new nail salon in the area! Got gel nails and toe polish change yesterday. I was in a bit of a rush, but would def go back for a full pedicure. Best thing about this place is they don't reuse anything. All the files, buffers, etc they use on you is brand new. They open it from a sealed bag and throw it away once used. They even used s new pack when she went from my fingers to me toes. Extremely sanitary! They take pride in that and that is worth a few bucks more to me. Just visiting and wanted a pedi, and this was a great place! It's very clean and well maintained. I made a last minute appointment for me and my husband (haha he wanted it for his nasty calluses, and they did an awesome job), and we walked right in and sat down. So this was my first nail salon experience in Utah, we went there with my mom for manicure and pedicure, I have booked in advance for both of us. Sara did my gel manicure and I was very happy with the results. My mom did acrylic nails with Viviann and we were not happy with the results, she was in rush and grumpy, we have asked to fix some nails that didn't look right she did that unwillingly and again in rush. Sara did the pedicure for mom and she was very careful and accurate. Overall if I would rate just Sara it would be 5 stars but because of the experience we had with Vivian we were not happy going out of the salon. Will try another salon next time. read more

I wanted to like it here, but had a less than stellar pedicure. They only rubbed my feet for 1 minute each foot. I asked for toe spacers to keep polish from smudging and she would not do it. Also, it's an extra $5 for callous removal. I felt it was already overpriced for the service and I won't return. Plus side is it's clean and not crowded. I came here needing a desperate nail fix. Im snowboarding this week and had artifical nails on and wanted to get them removed so i wouldnt have to risk a broken nail. The woman who did my nails was so gentle! Im visiting from california and i didnt get the chance to get my artifical nails off before coming here so im really glad i found this place. After a long gymnastics practice with the team, my body felt tired and especially my leg got so tensed from all that practice. I happened to pass by this new opening nail salon on my way home, and I thought to myself: "why don't I treat myself something nice today". And thanks goodness for that thought, I went and tried the herbal detox at this place. I've never felt so relaxed, my skin feels so smooth and soft, and all the sore and tiresome I've felt before entering this place have all gone away. All the tension throughout my body just drift away like the ocean waves. I ended up doing the whole manicure and pedicure sets. The staff here are professional and friendly, they make me feel like we've been friends since forever even though we've just met. I felt like I'm back on my feet and ready for more intense practice coming up. The price is reasonable too, which is a BIG PLUS for me. I'm in college and I'm very skeptical on my daily expenses, but this is one of those times when it's worth every pennies spent.
