Fun, fun, fun! A company organizing a networking event hired them one night and we got a chance to have caricature done. Artists are really talented. They do it so fast and very good. After so many of us got down, we compared the sketch and all of us agreed they did excellent job. I think the whole process was about 5 minuets? Not quite sure but remember thinking they did it very fast. They certainly created topics of conversation at our networking event. Highly recommend hiring them for your next get together read more

I booked Laura and Mark from SketchFaces for a 3-day, 400-person corporate conference and could not recommend them more! They're highly professional and were a pleasure to communicate with and very responsive prior to the event. They're extremely talented and friendly. The conference guests loved interacting and speaking with them and their caricatures were a big success at the conference. Please don't look further than SketchFaces - I'd highly recommend them for your event! read more

I can't say enough great things about my experience with Sketchfaces DC. We booked them for our Grand Opening for our clients to have pet portraits drawn and was a big hit! The artist (Mark) was fantastic! Very friendly, amazing artist and had great interactions with our clients. I will certainly be reaching back out for more events for them to join us with in the future. Thank you again for the great experience! read more

Two Sketchfaces DC artists supported our wedding of about 100 guests, and everyone had a great time! Guests told us that the drawings were sweet, personal, and a fun and unexpected touch to a wedding. Working with Laura was easy, and she was so organized and kind. If another opportunity arises, I would love to work with any of their artists again! read more

Used Sketchfaces for our corporate event and they were terrific! Big hit at our event and very quick with the sketches, which helped keep lines down. We had two artists for an event with 150-180 people. read more

To add an extra 'wow' factor to your event look no further than Laura and Mark at Sketch Faces DC. I first hired them in 2014 for an Anti-Valentine's Day party and they took the theme and ran with it! The caricatures were dead on -- I was amazed by how realistic some of the illustrations looked and even with all of the elements I introduced at the party, this booth was definitely the talk of the town. I've worked with them almost half a dozen other events since then and I can honestly say they are very easy to work with and always come prepared and on time. Aside from being artistically talented they are easy going and able to control large crowds and lines which easily form at buzzworthy entertainment features like this. I highly recommend them! read more

My husband and I hired Laura for my daughter's Sweet 16. She did a FABULOUS job!!!!! First let me say we came up with the idea to have a caricature artist after we attend a former supervisor's 50th bday party. So I researched local caricature artists and decided on Sketchfaces. People are still raving about your work. I'm Just disappointed my husband and I couldn't partake in the festivities and have you draw us. We will definitely hire Sketchfaces again. Thank you Laura!! read more

Had 2 artists in for a staff event and the staff had so much fun with it! Slow rolling at first but once they saw a couple people doing it the artists' chairs were full the whole event. It added such a fun element to the event and the artists were so good at personalizing the sketches in humorous ways that they brought smiles to everybody's faces and staff all got a unique and fun souvenir to take away from the event! Highly recommend read more

Simply amazing! Laura is a very talented artist. I've been lucky enough to have her draw my digital caricature twice - first in March 2012 during a promotion for the Samsung Galaxy Note and more recently in April 2015 during the Yelp Fire & Ice Ball. During my first experience, I was stunned by how Laura was able to draw such incredible likenesses on a small device such as the Samsung Galaxy Note. As an artist myself, I know how difficult it is to draw portraits so her work just leaves me in awe. What was even more impressive was the fact that at the Yelp Fire & Ice Ball, Laura remembered drawing me 3 years ago. I imagine that she has seen at least 10,000 faces since we first met in March 2012, so I felt so honored that she remembered me! Each caricature takes around 15 minutes, but the wait is definitely worth it. I highly recommend Sketchfaces DC and Laura for a memorable experience and lovely keepsake! read more

We just recently attended a Yelp event at the Torpedo factory and Laura was such a trooper. I don't know if she ever took a break, but for the two hours I was at the event - including the hour I waited in line, she kept on sketching. I don't know how she does it without getting a cramp in her hand/neck/back/shoulder. Her caricatures were all great. If ever you need an artist to do caricatures at your party/event, Sketchfaces DC is the business to call. read more

We hired Laura from Sketchfaces DC for our wedding reception and she was simply incredible! She is an amazingly talented artist who can sketch each person's portrait in just about 5 minutes. Her caricatures are cute cartoon versions of people that highlight their good features, nothing like those old school mean ones that highlight flaws. Everyone was blown away by how she was not only able to capture people's appearance, but also their personality as well! It was such a fun and unique addition to our wedding that our guests loved, and everyone had a great memento from the day to take home. I strongly recommend hiring Laura for any type of event! read more

I booked Sketchfaces for my wedding reception this past Sunday. The whole process, from booking up until the actual event, was seamless and positive! Laura was a gem! All our guests loved having their caricature drawn and Laura did a fantastic job! The only thing I regret about the process was not booking her for a longer time slot! Sketchfaces was very accommodating and easy to work with. They even preprinted a message on the sketch paper so our guests could have a priceless memento of our special day! Thank you again Laura for adding that extra special touch to our big day!! I would definitely recommend Sketchfaces for any event and will absolutely book them again for any future events I have! read more

Sketchfaces DC came to our wedding reception to do caricatures of our guests. They did a terrific job and a ton of our guests have commented on how much they liked their caricatures and how fun it was. My husband and I also had a caricature done beforehand by one of the talented caricaturists. We used our sketch for wedding guests to sign and leave us messages/congratulations. It turned out really well and we plan to frame it for our house. I would highly recommend them for a wedding or any other event! read more

If you are in the DC area and in need of a caricature artist, look no further than Ms. Laura of Sketchfaces DC. Ms. Laura did caricatures for my husband's surprise birthday party and she was amazing. All of her sketches were spot on and I loved how she focused on minor details within each sketch. All of the guests loved their sketches! Ms. Laura was a breeze to work with throughout the entire process, from booking to day of event. She was very responsive to emails and just an overall pleasure to work with. Laura did an amazing sketch of my husband and I at a Halloween party last year in our costumes. She really captured the essence and the fun! read more

Laura came to our housewarming party and brought her talent on. Laura is not only a talented caricaturist, she's also extremely professional and patient. She keeps up with the technology with her profession which I think is fantastic. In addition, as a thank you to my team for their hard work on a project, I asked Laura to do some super hero themed caricatures. Huge hit and I see that folks still use them as their photos on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. At a previous company I worked, Laura was asked to do her artist magic live during presentations. Great outcome! I thought Laura did an awesome job given the pressure she must have been under. I would highly recommend her (and I have). :-) read more

What a surprise to attend a friends' annual Halloween Party and to have a caricaturist present. Costumes & Caricatures somehow go hand-in-hand... An added element of FUN and the artwork was SUPERB. 5-STARS ***** read more

I have hired Laura Schoppa multiple times over the past few years to do caricatures for our party guests, and her caricature work is amazing and outstanding. We were lucky enough last year to get Mark Gutierrez as well, who also does great work. Our guests have been thrilled with the results, and many have told me their caricatures were the highlight of the party for them. I can't recommend Laura and Mark highly enough. We didn't move quickly enough this year to hire them for an upcoming party and, honestly, when I surveyed the other caricaturists out there, I just gave up...because Laura and Mark have spoiled us with caricatures so good at capturing the true look and personality of people that, frankly, we'd rather not accept any substitute. read more

Peter was fantastic! We recently booked Peter for our daughter's 1st birthday and he was such a pleasure to work with. He was all smiles and so incredibly polite and professional. I hired Sketchfaces for our booth at a community event last week and from the first email Laura was a pleasure to deal with! There was a rainy start to the day and Laura was a trooper through it all and was super friendly with all of her subjects busting out awesome caricatures amazingly fast! She sat without a single break for 5 hours!! Until her replacement Mark arrived who was also very talented and super nice and was great at managing the long line of of people and cutting it off at the right time to get as many people in as he could before the event was over, he kept going as we were taking down the booth to get his last caricature done! I would definitely recommend them and look forward to working with them again for future events! Laura was so sweet and offered me to send her a photo for a caricature since they were so busy I never got to sit for one. I can't wait to see it! If you're thinking of a fun addition for your next event definitely hire these guys, you won't be disappointed. read more

Laura Schoppa of Sketchfaces DC worked at the UMUC Fest today. The event ran from 3pm-6pm. I came to where Laura was working a couple of times between 4 pm & 4:30 pm. There were a number of others who were already in line when I came those couple of times -- none of whom had been given numbers. People were asked to take a seat in her chair one by one according to whom was next in line. I came back to Laura's station at roughly 5:15 pm. There were other attendees waiting to have their caricatures done and some observers. Laura had given out 7 numbers. The attendees stood holding a number in their hand. Someone saw a number 1 on the table and gave it to me so that I could have my caricature done also. Just before number 7 took his seat, I was told by Laura that she had already done a caricature for number 1 and that she wasn't doing anymore caricatures. I told Laura that it was very unfair of her to give out numbers to attendees if she didn't start her work giving out numbers to attendees or those who wanted caricatures done. She hadn't been giving numbers out all along or before I came back to her station, that is, when I had come to her station between 4 and 4:30. I explained to Laura that I had waited for a long time and for her not to do a caricature for me was unfair. She said she doesn't give out numbers the whole time because she's working and doesn't have time to give them out. If she doesn't have time to give out numbers like she said for the reason she said then why did she "find" time to give out 7 numbers. It appears the tactic she used is more for her benefit than for the benefit of those she provides caricatures to. I told Laura that she had acted very unfairly. I have no respect for professionals who act in such a manner as Laura did. read more
