Not a business/owner with integrity. Sold me a bad product and would not refund my money. After seeing his reply on Google I'll add he is dishonest as well. I wanted a spare key and fob for my Silverado. I called around and choose Skeltons because they are local and I like to support local small businesses. He had me come in a week later to get the key made and fob programmed to my truck. After waiting way too long to have a key made he finally ran out of blanks and failed to make a usable key. So I returned a week later to get the key made...I will add every time I set up a time to meet him at his store I had to call after I arrived as he was never there and I would have to wait for him to show up. So he finally handed me a key and I left. The next time I drove my truck (not my daily driver) the key fob failed to unlock my truck and when I tried the key, that worked to start the truck, it would not unlock the door. I was near the auto parts store and replaced the battery in the fob and was able to get in my truck. I contacted him and made arrangements to meet him at his store. I told him during this meeting that "if this thing is going to eat a battery per month I don't want it!" and he agreed by saying "yes sir". He couldn't make a new key as he ran out of blanks again. He told me to check later and he would replace the key. I contacted him a month later and he had the blanks and we set a time and day. He didn't show and I had to call him. This time instead of coming he stated he would come by my work later and make the new key. When he showed up I gave him the original key to copy and the key fob stating it failed again and I want a refund and I went back in to work. He called saying he finish. I went back out. He handed me the key and fob and said he replaced the battery and he jumped in his truck and left. Well the very next time I tried to use the key fob it was dead. At this point the key fob worked maybe 5 times and had 3 batteries in it. I called to arrange the return of the faulty product. He asked my name and a few minutes later he mumbled something I couldn't understand and hung up on me. Then would not answer the phone when I called back several times. read more

I am 56 years old and I have never in my life been treated like this by a business. I called Skeleton Key Company on the night of July 6th. I had lost my old key fab to my 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Big Ben model. The gentleman stated that he could help, but would need to order a key fab and that we could pay for his services on line. On Monday, (July 8th) After towing the car 25 miles back to my home as I thought it would make things easier, I called and ordered the fab. I paid for the fab via the company link. In addition, I paid for the programming of the vehicle and a service call in the amount of $316. I was told the fab would be here on Tuesday. Tuesday at 6pm, I texted with this response: "we got too busy for you today but we will be out in the morning." I instantly saw red flags so I knew I needed to keep this professional and simple. Wednesday 11am- I texted again. with response "The fab did not come in." "I will be out as soon as it comes in today." Wednesday 6pm- Owner shows up. Stays about 10 minutes, and starts to drive away. I went out to ask if he was coming back as my car doors were open, my hood was up, and my hazard lights were flashing. He stated he was coming back. He did come back, stayed for about 10 minutes and then drove away again. He texted that he had a flat tire but would be back tomorrow. I noticed the fab was not the right kind. Thursday 6pm- Owner shows up. Stays about 15 minutes and then.......NEVER TO BE HEARD from again. Yup, the owner fleeced me for the money, and then would not respond. He took off like this is just OK. I do not believe this company has been in business for 30 years. I was never rude or out of line with any text messages. There is no reason for this. There is no reason to tell people that you can provide a service, get their money and never return. I cannot believe this man is in business. This has been a straight scene out of the movie Ozark and the owner lives in a highway town just looking to perch on people and take their money. He may be able to make a key but he cannot program a car. I just hope I don't have more issues as this company clearly does not know what they are doing, they lack the technology and software to program a car and the lack of professionalism is beyond belief. I have read his reviews, and he always comes back on the attack but these are the cold hard facts people stay away or I assure you it is going to cost you money and give you one big headache. read more

Couldn't have more amazing things to say about this company. I was visiting the lake from Oregon with my two young children when my 3 year old asked for privacy in the bathroom and next thing I know she is locked inside. We tried everything and resulted to a locksmith after starting to literally panic. It was after 8pm on a Tuesday evening and within 15 minutes they were knocking on my door. Minutes later my daughter and I were both extremely relieved and overjoyed to be once again back together safe in our Airbnb. This wonderful company dropped everything and immediately came to help! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. They came to my aid after my dogs locked themselves in my Jeep. They got to my location considerably faster than I could have asked for and beat their own time estimate of 15 minutes. They were very professional and would receive my business again in the future! Drove 3 hours to the lake to find our battery powered deadbolt went haywire. Within 20 mins of calling we were back in our house. This was a Friday night at 6:30. Can't thank them enough for the service and professionalism. Even after hours the rates were beyond fair. I'd recommend to anyone. read more
