Update: After my…read moreoriginal review, Cheryl finally responded. Instead of resolving the issue, I was told that my amended return could not be processed until sometime in 2027, despite previously asking me to wait until July. I requested either a refund or, if I was expected to wait until 2027, a written commitment confirming when my amended return would actually be completed and what would happen if that deadline was not met. Neither request was answered. My refund was denied, no completion date or written commitment was provided, and I was told this would be Cheryl's "final response" regarding the matter. Asking a paying client to continue waiting indefinitely without a guaranteed completion date or refund is not an acceptable resolution. Unfortunately, this response only reinforced my original review.

I'm not sure exactly what happened but my tax returns were supposedly completed over two months ago and I can't get this guy to return my phone call. I booked meetings with him and then he doesn't answer. He seems to always have an excuse why he isn't available, stomach trouble, busy and the last time I spoke to him, he said he was holding my tax returns for payment, but he had never even given me a bill. I don't know if he has dementia or what's going on, but this was extremely frustrating and a huge waste of my time.

My wife and I have been using the services of Barrington Traile for years now…read more His prices are always fair, and his work is consistently top-shelf. If I looked for a long time, I might find a service or another provider who would do the job adequately and maybe even cheaper, but in a given year my wife and I sometimes work as many as 10 jobs, each having a variety of tax types and laws relevant to filing, but we would spend weeks messing up what Barrington will handle correctly (and professionally) inside of one day. Frankly, that makes the price of service from this trustworthy professional more than justifiable, and at this point we'll never settle for less.
