Everyone had a great time from the kids' play area, arcade games, glow in the dark putt putt, laser tag, and the rock wall. The party room was big enough for 20-25 people, but it was a little crowded. It was fine because the overflow could stand along the arcade games area. The pizza was amazing for a kid's party place! I was pleasantly surprised. One thing I want to mention....depending on which birthday package you choose, some come without a party coordinator. Just know that if it's a self serve party like this one was, when you arrive, order the party food and drinks immediately. No one comes in and asks for your order. You have to go to the snack bar yourself and order for the party. They will deliver to the room if it's not too busy. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. We will be back for sure!

We were able to do all of the attractions for free. We only had to pay for our arcade cards. When we got there, before entering, we scanned a QR code that took us to a website to digitally sign a waiver. When we came inside, they asked if we needed to sign the waiver, to which we responded, no, we just did it outside. But everything in the building was very clean, and the staff was very nice and professional. The lady, I didn't catch her name, told us how everything was set up. First, we tried Mini Golf, which was played under black lights, and everything was painted with fluorescent paint. I think that it was only a 13-hole course, but it was still very challenging and fun. Next, we did Laser Tag. But because there were only six of us, two being young children, we played free-for-all instead of teams. I won! Then, we did the XR Arena, which is a really cool immersive box where you play a video game. It's like Virtual Reality, without the headset. At the time we went, they had three games to choose from. You could shoot aliens or zombies, or they have a cooking game, but I'm not quite sure what it's like. We killed aliens and had a blast! Lastly, we did the arcade. They have a pretty big selection of arcade games. Not as many as Tex Fun & Social in Texas City by Gringo's, but they still had quite a few! We didn't have much time to play the arcade games because they were about to close. But the games we did play were fun. All in all, I would recommend that you stop in. It's a lot of fun and a really neat and immersive experience. It's like nothing else that I have ever experienced before.

Our party hosts chose the GLOW party option and we had the large area along the back of the rink. The kids had glowing plates, cups, necklaces, etc. Us adults had the option to skate too but we had fun watching the kids do it. The pizza was... ok. I mean, it's roller rink pizza. I have to say, they come out HOT HOT. Careful. There is a snack bar here as well but didn't check out what they had. Our kids haven't had much roller skating experience so they looked a bit like when Bambi walked onto the frozen pond at first. Luckily, kids learn FAST and by the end they were zipping around. They can't wait to come back. On our way out the hours for open skate we're listed. I read they also do learn to skate lessons on Saturday mornings. We definitely recommend!

My friend had the urge to roller skate and this was the closest to us (still 30 minute drive away!). Established in the suburbs, the rink was filled with kids and families. Entrance/rental skates was $10 and the thing beginners use to hold onto was additional $5. The rink only has a handle on one side of the rink. Good music with fun lights, it was a great experience!

Up 'til today, we have only visited Pearwood Skate in Pearland. Our oldest child had a school field…read moretrip to this rink recently so we decided to give it a try today and wow! We had such a great time. Price was $8 to skate, $4 for skate rentals. Not terrible. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered both roller skates AND roller blades! Bonus, they seem somewhat "newer." ???? I personally thought they looked "cool"... they were black and orange. Haha. There were lots of tables for sitting and taking a break. The rink got CROWDED during our visit. Not going to lie, having little inexperienced tot skaters out there with experienced skaters was DANGEROUS. Kids would literally just turn and skate across the rink, go in the wrong direction, fall and lay there like a dead animal, etc. etc. My friend nearly ran over a kid's fingers who fell in front of us. The music was good but too loud for us. In hindsight, I wonder if they would have bumped it down a touch if we asked. When we left, our ears were ringing for the next 30 min or so. The rink felt pretty smooth and well maintained. I noticed a few dips in certain spots but overall nice. Rink seemed a tad small to me... but I am more used to ice rink size. Maybe this roller rink is normal size but it felt small. Kids liked playing the games: red light/green light and the number game. One of my kids won a game and got to spin a prize wheel and won a free admission! Awesome! We got a "large" pizza for $10. The term "large" is kind of a joke. It was pretty small and thin. Kids all ate it, one kid said it was "good", the other said it was "ok". Pitchers of soda were $10, pitcher of WATER was $5. That's a rip off!!! Icees were $4. (I'd rather stop at Bucees on the way home and get one for .89) I think there were 2 birthday parties going on during our visit. Saw a brochure where parties started at $15pp up to a mega package for $650. There are some arcade games here too. Not sure how much those cost to play. Workers all seemed really friendly. Wish there was someone out on the rink correcting dangerous skaters. Overall, we had a BLAST. I probably skated more than my kids. We WILL be back!!

They charged a premium rate of $11 which includes skate rental, even if you don't need it. (On other days of the week, the rate would be $6 plus $4 for rental). So - sillyMe - I thought the crowd would be smaller. I didn't think there would be too many children. I thought it would be a mature crowd. You know - Date Night. *Phew* was I wrong! Everybody and their little toddler were on the floor! The place was packed! THEN, about 10 PM, there was a "dance". They didn't allow any skating during this time. This went on for about 15-20 minutes. Prior to that, they closed the skating part for GAMES. Red-light-green-light and some other things to amuse the kiddies. But if you're not playing the game, you can't be on the rink. There weren't any floor moderators so the little ones were skating against the flow, and people were standing around the edges, doing nothing. The only moderation came from the person in the DJ Box, which you couldn't understand because of the mic distortion. There is no water fountain in the building. Apparently, Alvin's thugs tore it off the wall and the establishment hasn't bothered to replace it. But they charge $5 for a pitcher of WATER, so there's that. The food looked roughly 6 on a 10 scale but I confess I didn't try any of it. On a positive note, the floor was smooth and well-maintained. But it also seems small. I'll give this place another try, but it doesn't seem likely that I'll return on a Friday night.

Just Rolling isn't too far from me; however, it's my least favorite rink. I've been 3 times. My 1st and 2nd visit was for a meet up or celebration. The 3rd time was for me to break my new skates in AND because it was suppose to be R&B night!!! I love R&B music, but I don't think the DJ is a fan of it. He played twerk & rap most of the time, so I don't plan to return on Wednesday. Also, most rinks turn their lights off to set the rink vibe. I'm not sure why HJR leave their lights on. It destroys the vibe & decreases the fun. If skaters wanted bright light they could skate for free outside. I'll probably try their Adult Night one Sunday, but it's 18 & up. Hopefully it's a different DJ. I prefer the 21 & up Adult Nights at other rinks around town. I gave HJR 3-stars because it has potential to be better & the rink is a nice size.

Only thing I didnt like were the advanced skaters not having any respect for the slower skaters even though the dj announces over and over to skate on the outside. Two teens were horse playing in front of me and fell and before I knew it, I fell on top of them and ended up cutting my finger somehow. They didn't even apologize. Not the rinks fault, their parents. Overall, I would go and bring the kids on a weekday when its not so busy with the "fancy/crazy" skaters.

But, we decided to put them on anyway.. then we get a table and finally see the rink... And that's when we decided we wanted a refund. All around the rink are spots where the floor has literally come up. It looked like wood hills! So I kindly walked back to the desk and told the lady we would like a refund due to how bad the place had gotten . Since we had only been there for 10 minutes I figured it would be no problem, but boy was I wrong. She said she could not give refunds but I told her there was no sign saying so and we didn't even skate. I explained that we had not seen how bad the floor was . She said we must be blind because u can see it when u walk in. I told her that was rude and she said she had been called worse! I asked to talk to the owner but supposedly they were out of town. I told her I wasn't leaving until I got a refund so she sent a guy next door to go talk to someone and he came back and told her to give me my refund. As we walk out my husband goes next door and low and behold it's the owner! We told him how rude the lady was but it seemed he could care less. So my advice to you is save your money and just go across the street to the bowling alley... It's cheaper, and very friendly staff.

We visited on 'adult night' expecting a fun, safe place to learn as beginner skaters -- instead, we were treated like we didn't belong from the moment we stepped onto the rink. The man on the microphone repeatedly insisted that beginner skaters move to the center of the floor (away from the wall), which is the exact opposite of every skating norm I've ever known. I'm not trying to crack my head open, for God's sake. Still, we followed the rule -- only to find that getting to the exit when we needed a break was nearly impossible because other skaters refused to let us pass. What made this worse was the overall atmosphere, created not just by regulars who clearly gatekeep the space, but by staff who seemed chummy with them and provided zero guidance or support. Instead of posted rules or any sort of direction, we were "informed" by being publicly called out over the DJ's mic. The humiliation was unnecessary, unprofessional, and downright bizarre. As beginner skaters, all we wanted was a safe, welcoming place to learn. Instead, we were mocked, disregarded, and made to feel like intruders after only five minutes. I genuinely have no respect for grown adults aggressively skating around beginners simply because we aren't familiar faces. If you're new to skating, do yourself a favor and steer clear -- the unspoken rules, lack of signage, and hostile culture make this an awful place to start. As for us, we'll be taking up ice skating instead, because Bear Creek Roller Rink can stay in the early 2000s where it belongs.
