It gave the kids a lot more confidence in their skating abilities (despite still falling a lot, everything they let go and tried on their own.) Despite falling a lot, they kept trying because there were so many other kids there trying and falling too. They had a beginner skating rink at the end. There were a lot of big kids back there working on tricks or just goofing off, but the younger kids still had plenty of space to practice in the smaller rink instead of being in the main rink. They did glow lights for a little bit, maybe 30 mins, and the kids liked that a lot. We were there for maybe 2 hours, with a mini pizza break. There were not many workers there, so adults or skaters had to police their own chaos on the rinks. The workers alternated between the skate rental booth, the concessions, and the walker rental/prizes area. As the afternoon wore on and it became more crowded, it did get a lot more chaotic and somewhat dangerous for the younger skaters, which is why I have the lower rating. For what it was, it is still worth the visit id you have never been. If you have younger kids, I would suggest coming in earlier. As the afternoon wore on I to the evening, it was a lot more crowded overall and a lot busier with teens and adults. The concessions were fine. Having a birthday party here was also just ok - there was no dedicated party host despite the host asking for one for their party and the kids kind of scattered everywhere. It did give everyone a chance w to hang out and play together or apart. Whichever they wished. There was an all call to come back to the tables for food and cake, so that was nice. It was a good way to get a bunch of kids to try something new, though, so that was a lot of fun. I felt bad, as a parent, needing to rent a walker for my kids and then it going to the tab of the parents. There was not a way to pay for it on my end, unless the worker was misinformed. We would be back to try it some more.

Finally, I got in the groove after a few laps. I got the price list, I think the prices are decent. I would come back after I buy my own skates. Because I wear size 10.5 but they don't have half size. I can barely fit into the size 10 skate. I know size 11 would give me blisters. Stupid GPS took me to the middle of Highway 6. I had no choice but drive into the parking lot next door. Then, drive around the block to come here. The skating rink is all the way back at the end of the parking lot. Although this party is scheduled outside of the normal business hours, there weren't other people on the rink. I wish I live nearby. I definitely would come back.

So, come time for a birthday party in our family, we rented a bounce house from this company. We also had a great experience. The delivery people were friendly and courteous, and our son was jumping on the bounce house in his pajamas before the truck had even pulled away to their next delivery! The bounce house was a huge hit at the party with the kids (and even with some adults). And we loved that we got to keep the bounce house all day for basically the same price other companies were charging for just a couple hours. How is this place not condemned?…read more The facilities are disgusting and not maintained. The lockers are old and half are broken. I was robbed of 4 quarters because they kept getting stuck in the busted lockers. The staff will not help you get your quarters back. The restrooms are a biohazard. The women's restroom had toilet water overflowing out of one stall and into the two next to it. All of the toilets had unflushed excrement except two, and of these two, only one had a working lock. Also note, you'll have to dry your hands with half working hand dryers from the 90s. The skates are incredibly uncomfortable and unforgiving. Once I got through the first layer of hell, I moved on to free skate. At first I was shocked by the eerie green lighting. Why is the whole rink shrouded with green light? Maybe to hide the disgusting ice? The ice is dirty and extremely slippery -- not ideal for any level of skater. I am a fairly good skater, and I could only comfortably skate 4 rounds before I decided it was just not worth it. The Galleria ice rink is much more well maintained, and free skate time is not limited like SL ice center. Free skate at SL ice center is only available for 2 hours at a time, at varying start times through the week. They do not accept tap to pay, so if you make the mistake of spending your money here, make sure to bring a physical card... but I implore you not to.
