The atmosphere of the studio is just as good as anything you'll find in Madison - in my opinion, better. As you can see from pictures on the website, the studio is absolutely beautiful. It doesn't have a wall of windows like most yoga studios in Madison. Instead, it's located in the lower-level of a beautifully renovated old wood building in downtown Evansville. Its dark and quiet atmosphere are just what I need though to get into a super quiet and deep meditative state. In addition to the beautiful studio, True Nature also offers some truly amazing instructors. A yoga class is only as good as its instructor, and the ones at True Nature are absolutely wonderful. They emphasize alignment and technique over difficulty, and strongly encourage each individual to listen to their own body first - which was really refreshing for me. Their teaching style might not be for everyone, but it was just what I was looking for. I've tried yoga a handful of times before, but it wasn't until I got to True Nature that I finally "got it." In fact, now I can't seem to get enough of it!

We had a family reunion here on one of the hottest, stickiest days of the summer. It was one of…read morethose days when an afternoon picnic outside doesn't sound the most appealing and you ask yourself what your family would think of you if you show up in a swimming suit, carrying a bucket of ice water. The shelter we reserved is on the northeast side of the lake (though I question how this qualifies as a lake - more like a pond in my mind) and with a hillside just to the east of it, the shelter was as good as air-conditioned! Hallelujah! There was a cool breeze thanks to the lake and since the shelter was shaded for half of the day, it wasn't until 3pm when the space finally started feeling too warm. The proximity of the shelter was also great as the Monticello Public Pool is right across the road and the kids were able to go enjoy a pool day once they were finished chasing toads around the pond (sorry Freddie the Toady Toad. Also, sorry the kids couldn't decide on a better name).

I mean, how much do curtains cost? Not much. Women do not want to take showers without privacy. I also agree with some of the staff being snarly. There is a little old lady who works in the early morning hours who thinks that she runs the whole YMCA. She is a know-it-all and rude. Suggestions: Place could be a lot cleaner, get new exercise equipment including the curtains in the women's room and give your staff some good customer service tips. Also we sure hope they get to the bottom of their money concerns. We do not join a club to hear that the CEO is crooked.

Scott, Blackhawk has…read morehad 5 signs with special reduced rates posted on the windows, doors, counter, & tack-boards since opening in April. Next to those promotions were more signs with explanations as to why the bridges were out along with pictures of the damage the flood caused. Blackhawk has been very open about the situation, process, & special reduced rates. All you had to do is read one of the 5 signs posted or ask the person behind the counter and surely they would've accommodated. The total extra amount of walking on the relatively flat & short 2857 yard course was around 700 yards. Which is roughly around the same distance of walking the front or back nine at Riverside, Glen Erin, or the Country Club. Now with the bridge on Hole #6 complete the total amount of extra walking is around 300 yards. Blackhawk is doing their best with the hand they were dealt this season & have been accommodating to the best of their abilities.
