The parking here was really tight. The rink was a nice size; there were a lot of people but it didn't feel overcrowded. They had things to hold onto if you are new to roller skating and need some balance. The music was ok and pretty diverse to cater to different crowds. It appeared well maintained and clean. There were staff walking around to ensure things were good. There were tables to host a birthday party. They had pizza and ice cream. For the ice cream they had a cart that had a bunch of toppings you could put on it. There were also regular tables for patrons that are not part of a party to sit. There was also arcade games. They have a concession stand that has a variety of items including popcorn, pizza, icee.

Floors need to be replastered.. Upgrade snack area Service and tune up skates More staff at the shoe counter one person is not enough at certain times DJ was good, kids listened for the most part, the skate wardens did a good job keeping stragglers off the floor and those that chose to sit on the wall Was pretty crowded for a Sunday

I like this skate zone! I wish we had a nice place in Montgomery County so we don't have to drive all the way down to Crofton haha. The staff were friendly and I think we paid $75 for a family of 4 to skate on a Saturday with Skate rental. They had a lot of skate available so sizes are not an issue. You have to give them one of your shoes as collateral. There are lockers in the premises too but you have to pay to use them. There are support bars to can pay to use. It was $5 to rent them. The food there was good, reminded me of the movie theater concession. The options are comparable. I fell down a lot because it's been years since I've skated and it hits different when you are 30 haha. My kids loved it here! I will definitely come back! It's a vibe skating here. It's clean and it's pretty big too so there is a lot of space. They also have games here too. Great business!

Came here for some fun & exercise with the family! Skate Zone has great specials like these called "School Out" during school breaks. Special reduced price from 1-4pm. It's pretty crowded but it's moving. Arcade game- prices have increased Lockers- Don't forget your quarters if you want a locker $.75 each time you need to lock it. Skate guides(pic shown) They charge $5.00 additional rental for skate guides. They used to be first come first serve. If you don't have your own skates, pack your patience at the skate rental counter. Staff is very polite & patient.

Had a great time, the music could've been a bit better. The crowd needed to be woken up. Very cool and calm crowd, which was great. Family oriented and orderly. The security was great, made everyone feel secure. Lights and coordinated skates were a nice touch. We visit again the next time I'm in Maryland.

This was my first visit to Skate Zone. The weekday 3pm-5pm session is only $4 for admission. Amble parking at this time of the day. I was pleased that it was mostly adults. Staff was friendly. The skating floor isn't the best and the sound system is dated. I liked the screens on the walls next to the rink - playing music videos. As a newer skater, I prefer to go when it's less crowded. Overall, I had a good time and the other skaters were cool. I would return to Skate Zone. I didn't use the facilities, skate rental or the snack bar.

Very dissatisfied with the food bar. Employee insisted on giving me cold pizza. Despite multiple hot pizza out of pizza oven. Bad business.

Food bar won't give you hot pizza even when available. Argued back and forth with cashier about getting hot fresh pizza and he agreed to, then still gave me cold pizza. Ridiculous.

Some of the staffs are not professional when it comes to customers. Other than that not to bad, everything is outdated.

Ask the Community - Skate Zone

What genre of music is typically played on a Friday night?

I've been there with a mixture of music being played. I think the Dj scans the room to get a feel for the genre. Sometimes even that's hard to do.

Her attitude was not pleasant. I ordered multiple tickets online well in advance and she seemed to get an attitude about not being able to find them at first. I offered to give her the invoice number or show her my online purchase. Her first immediate response was I purchase them for a different day. The second interaction was this same woman proceeded to charge at the main rink door yelling at kids and parents that they are not allowed to use the red "helper" walker things. She told my kids that she's too big. Then the older child in my group, she proceeded to tell her to give her the red thing. Her attitude was tone was aggressive and inappropriate. Management needs to take note of her terrible customer service. Perhaps if she is having a bad day at work, she should stay home. The food business was friendly. The food was service was quick and the fries were yummy. The young man handing out the skates was friendly.

This place is the definition of super cool!!…read more A pop-up skating event was just what this girl needed. A kind invite from my Yelp friends got this all way together. We were able to easily purchase tickets for time elected online. I purchased the adult skate 7pm-11pm w skates. It totaled $33 after fees. The Baltimore Peninsula building was pretty inviting. The kind Security Guard helped us w the parking specs. FYI: You have to pay $17 to park on the parking lot or on the street for $7. The parking fees were kind of disheartening. The skating venue itself was very nice. Once you get off the elevator, you walk into large inviting space. Everyone we had an encounter with was nice and helpful. There was a beverage set up in there as well as a bunch of tables. A bottled water was $4. That was a nuisance. The DJ was doing his thing. Great tunes to appeal to any music listener. Sadly, the evening ended w my ggggf falling and breaking her ankle, but that was no fault of the establishment. The employees were very helpful tending to her, checking up on her, and providing her w things of comfort (physical assistance, ice, water). I would return again if given the opportunity, and I encourage those who can visit to visit and support this pop-up. You won't be disappointed.

I purchased my ticket on online and decided I would bring my adult daughter's skates instead of paying the $5 skate rental fee. The total cost for skating was around $25 including fees. When I arrived I was surprised to pay for parking in the lot across the street when there was no ticket system or gate however, street parking was a little cheaper. The skate location is located on the 2nd floor and of course there is a waiver to be signed upon entering. They have lockers and coat check for I believe $10 extra but, definitely pack lite if possible. The have a small bar in the back for drinks and several couches and chairs for seating. The DJ was on point as I have not been skating in years. We were all having fun as the night was coming to a close. I requested a song from the DJ and as soon as I heard the song I my skates caught on to one another which ultimately resulted in the fracture of my ankle. I was in excruciating pain and staff carrying me to couch and provided me with an ice bag and water until I was able to get further medical attention. All in All~ it was a fun experience until the end. Needless to say I have retired from skating and will not be back.
