Care quality is terrible! I brought my son to Dr Zoe Alikakos at birth and entrusted her with my son's health for the past 7 years. I thought she cared about my son's well being, but sadly I was wrong. All that doctor and this practice cares about is getting paid for vaccinating your child. Nothing more! After giving my son all the mandatory and recommended IL vaccinations for 2 years old, of which he received a total of 22 vaccines! This was not enough to immunize him. I receive this letter bellow which denies my son medical care because I didn't boost him the additional 5 booster vaccines for his age. I didn't boost him because he had several reactions to his previous boosters, but of course, they didn't care to ask or hear about It. Please steer clear of this practice and find a pediatrician that truly cares. read more

This office is literally a blessing. From day 1 of having Dr. George and his team becoming my newborn baby boy's pediatricians - its been amazing and so calming. My wife and I cant be more appreciative of their employees and doctors at all locations/offices. From day 1, Dr. Stratos, Dr. Zoe and Dr. Kevin have been such beautiful spirits in watching over our sweet boy at appointments. From birth, to checkups, to shots, to colds...... they are always at everyone's beck and call, no matter what time of the day or night. They get back to you in any situation. Excellent practice! Open 7 days a week (Sundays are for sick visits). I admit it started off bumpy just trying to register my children to this practice after their very good pediatrician retired. It took about 2 weeks after dropping off their records to hear from anyone. But after that, all the interactions with the various doctors has been phenomenal. read more

Unbelievably rude front desk. I am sure Dr. Skarpathiotis is a wonderful doctor if the receptionist lets you even ask a question.

Despite the horrible attitudes of the front desk staff and the one hour wait times even when the waiting room is completely empty, my daughter has gone to see Dr. Zoe for the past 10 years, and she has been amazing. When we made our last appointment, we checked in and were told that Dr. Zoe wasn't available, but Dr. George could see her instead. Great, I thought - until I received a bill for the entire appointment (even though we have BCBS) because they told me that Dr. George is the only doctor in that office that is "out of network." When I called, they apologized and said they would credit the bill due to their mistake. For the past year, despite several follow up calls to them, they continue to send me a bill. Each time I call, the front desk staff is incredibly rude and disrespectful. I will definitely be finding a new pediatrician! read more

Dr. George is a great man and a great doctor but I disagree with the other reviews completely. Things have changed since those reviews. My son is 2 now and I don't know y I waited so long to switch pediatricians. In those 2 yrs I only saw dr George once for one appointment and it was super quick. Let's start off by saying the last 2 years I dnt feel like any of the doctors working under this practice and there r MANY actually know my son. Secondly, whenever I call or leave a message and the office is open I am directly turned to a machine saying the office is closed even tho I was just there. I only get calls back for billing. Third, not once have I felt compassion or caring from any of the nurses. They r so quick to give the meds and walk out of the room. I've never come across anyone at this office who didn't look like they love what they do. They all look like they hate their jobs. That's not where I wanna take my infant son too. Or esp when he gets his first immunizations and the nurse spills more than half of it on my son and then disregards it. Every time I go for an appointment and I am on time whether my son is well or sick I cud b the only one in the waiting area and still b waiting for half n hour. Then after taking his vitals and he's undressed in a cold room waiting another half n hour at the least for the doctor or practitioner to come in. I recently made an appointment and even knew what doctor was working. Went in and was told nope u dnt have an appointment there is nothing written down there is no history of any appointment made. I was livid! This office is not where it shud b and has so much more potential than what it is showing. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Have been going to the Palos Heights office for 5 years. Today was the last straw. Front desk staff is unbelievably rude. After making an appointment (not a walk in), the staff had my son sitting in the waiting room for 50 minutes screaming and crying in pain. A 5 year old crying for 50 minutes before anyone took a look at him. The lack of compassion is unreal. When I asked to speak to someone about the lack of concern displayed, they couldn't be bothered. We are very happy with our care with Skarpathiotis Group. We have been with them since my oldest was born just over 6 years ago. Through the years some of our favorites have left which has bummed us out, namely Dr. Jordan and Nurse practitioner Angela B. As we continued care however and met other doctors in the practice, they too have been great with my kids. We never have a problem making an appointment when the kids are sick and need to get in, almost always able to get in same day. When my daughter was a newborn, the newborn consultant was a valuable resource to us as new parents. These days my kids see Dr. Zoey and they absolutely love her. She's amazing. read more

The staff was very friendly and kind. However, we visited the Palos office recently and it is super uninviting and not very warm. The office is Uber tiny, and the rooms are like tiny closets. The rooms were not clean, by doctors office standards at all. It was dusty, you could tell my looking along the trim and corners it had not been cleaned In quite some time. There were even old snacks on the floor from previous patients. It also took over 30 minutes inside of the room for the dr to get to us. I would not go back here at all. read more

The pediatricians at this practice all reflect Dr. George's philosophy: top-of-the-line care with a sincere interest in the patient. The office staff and nurses are also very friendly and helpful. Every person involved with this business is warm, compassionate and thorough. Dr. George is wonderful. He's personable and friendly, and the kids all love him. My youngest is now 18, and we were searching for a pediatric practice after sticking with a physician who began to make wildly wrong diagnoses. I have no idea what was going on with that, but after the third significant mistake we decided to find someone more reliable. My son's friend's mom recommended Dr. George--that was at least ten years ago, and we have been happy with his care since then. No one rushes you out of the office or dismisses your concerns or questions. Yet, at the same time, there's rarely a wait that exceeds 15 minutes. Couldn't wait to get home and post a review, my daughter has been their patient for the last 6years, I just had a baby and decided to transfer his care from the hospital he was born at which is one of the biggest institutions in Chicago to go see Dr. Zoe, being very loyal to follow up with such an amazing caring doctor. Front desk was so rude at check in due to insurance issues, we call their billing department to clarify and they weren't better, I have BCBS and was forced to pay $360 for a shot?!!! Which most likely the insurance reimbursement rate is at 20% of that value, they acted as I'm begging for care, no ethics what so ever doesn't stop there, the nurse picks up the attitude from her colleague and treated my one month old baby like ....,so sad, talking about patient safety!!!! Well if you cared about his safety you wouldn't act that way. Very disappointed!!! Staff needs major customer service training. read more

I read a lot of reviews and felt like the latest review of this practice was inaccurate, my daughter goes to this practice and sees Dr Kevin Joseph, I have seen other Drs on occasion but mainly him, this practice is very easy to get into, I hardly ever wait even with a last minute appointment, the nurses are amazing and so helpful all the time, Angela is particularly helpful and I always receive a call back, this practice has Saturday and Sunday hours at all 3 locations which I consider to be amazing, I highly recommend this practice read more

Office staff is not very warm in the palos location. To work for an office of all children you'd think you'd get a warm greeting and smile. Instead you get stares or you yourself needing to say hello, how are you all. There is an RN that wears glasses, that is very cut and dry. She Doesn't talk to your child, comfort them, or interact what so ever. It is beyond sad to go into a profession involving children without the comforting, friendly skills you learn in nursing school. She might as well work with adults instead. Had plenty of interactions with this RN and it remains the same. I come in a ball of energy and friendly while leaving feeling awful. There are very friendly doctors but the rest of the staff needs to work on their people skills and customer service. read more

I've been going to Dr George's office for 11yrs with my two sons. I've always been able to get an appointment especially the most critical time when they are sick. Everyone is always in a friendly mood and i love the doctors. Everyone seems to be enjoying their jobs as far as i can see. We have seen Dr George occasionally for last minute appts. It's his practice but that doesn't mean he will be you primary dr. They do a great job! read more

We've been patients of this practice for almost 13 years & have never had such an awful experience as today with Dr. Bhatti Humaa! After waiting for an hour to see the dr, she not only didn't listen to a word I said, she diagnosed my daughter before even looking at her. Also my daughter gets ear infections often & never even looked in her ears. I will never make an appointment when this dr is working again. Big waste of time! Very disappointed!! read more

Staff is often rude and even condescending. Put up with some of it in the past because our large family loved the one doctor, but that doctor is no longer there. Put up with it for another 6 months, to see if we could bond with another doctor. Straw that broke the camels back... took 1 of our children into the ER, per their recommendation because they were concerned (didn't get home until almost midnight). Got a call the next day, asking if we took her in. We told them we had. They then asked if we "ACTUALLY took her in because they hadn't gotten the records from the ER yet". The nurse practicioner I spoke with after that call (saw her prior to ER visit) didn't really seem to be concerned with the staff's comment/attitude.
