Our HOA had its own approval layer on top of the city permit, and Sun Vault Roofing helped us navigate a two-week back-and-forth over approved shingle colors (side salad: ridiculous that HOAs have this kind of bureaucracy). Despite the complications, Sun Vault Roofing kept us updated through every delay and milestone without us having to chase anyone down. That alone was worth the price difference. The crew showed up on time, worked two full days, and left the yard cleaner than they found it. The roof has now been through 2-3 major storms since installation, including the crazy hail in April and there is not a speck of damage. Everything looks sharp and clean. You can tell was done right all the way from the street. If you're getting multiple bids for a roof replacement in the Madison area, make sure Sun Vault Roofing is one of them. There was no further damage but given the age of the roof, the insurance company's underwriters let us know we should replace it. Josh and his crew were able to complete the roof work (including inspection with the shingles off) and we are very satisfied with the work and the crew. They were fantastic, efficient and very reasonable on cost. The roof color Josh recommended is beautiful! It's Desert Rose I believe. The overall experience of the repair as well as the roof replacement were top notch. We have no complaints. We highly recommend Hardyman Roofing for repairs and replacement. Way over budget due to crew putting wrong siding up in upper level, still charged us for extra siding even tho it was their mistake. Crews only stayed for 2-3 hours a day. But they all charged for driving time at full labor price. Didn't hire anyone from our area so crews had to drive almost an hour each way. Took forever to get calls responded to. Very disappointed with this company. No final inspection done. Had to get our own permits as his guy forgot to.
