Time for an update! I had not been here in years because my last trip was not good. We came for dinner on a weekday. It was $17.75 for all you can eat. You order at the counter, they give you a bowl and assign you a table. I thought that was odd but discovered later that is how you get a new bowl for your next round. I liked the selection. They had Tofu. A lot of places don't anymore. The sauces are still a bit weak so I put a little more. They didn't have lobster sauce. Wait time was good. It isn't the best but it isn't the worst I have had. I would go again especially since it is close to home. Fair prices. Yes, not the friendliest but also Asian owned it appears. Its just how it is.

Service was great, price is great, the place is a little outdated and dirty but I'm not here for ambiance, I'm here for the all you can eat. It has everything you would want. Definitely recommend

I went her because years ago we would go for lunch at work. But that was before "COVID". That was and is awful!! Anyway when i went for dinner it was all you could eat. You make your own food and its cooked for you. The restaurant is extremely clean and pleasant. I was assigned a table and given a bowl to make my selection of meat etc. it was just as tasty as I remembered! Will have to go once a month just to have a nice warm meal.

I've been coming to this place since I was a little kid and it's still one of my absolute favorite comfort meals. I love that you get to choose everything that goes into your noodles, and the all-you-can-eat option makes it a good value if you dine in. However, their prices have risen steeply in the last couple of years. Today I got one to-go bowl and it was over $18 (in 2019 this was around $12, for reference). Even though it's a lot of food, dining here is starting to get pretty overpriced for what it is.

Big veggie options. Cashier rude didn't speak English so it was very overwhelming trying to put in our order. Crazy and food was ik

Sizzling Mongolian bbq has been a part of my childhood since middle school, and for a reason. This place serves delicious and fresh Mongolian bbq items that are affordable for the family ($15 lunch). The only bad thing is that the bowls are so small you can't even fit sauces in it sometimes. I wish they would let us put sauce in after ! They're pretty nice when it comes to it but to ask every time and get that look... I'd rather not. Good place to eat ! Recommend

Having been to Sizzling Fresh Mongolian BBQ several times over the years, my family and I decided to go again after hearing there was new ownership. There is plenty of parking in the large shopping area with several stores and other food options nearby. The inside of the restaurant is relatively small, but has plenty of seating for everyone. The ambiance of the restaurant is similar to most restaurants, with some talking and background music in the background. With the new ownership they added a little stamp that you have to show to get a new bowl which was fine. The staff quickly rung us up and gave us the bowls to get started. Similar to most Mongolian BBQ locations you load up your own food to your liking and hand it to someone to cook. They have a fair amount of topping options. The noodles are yummy, especially if you prepare them well. The secret to flavorful noodles is to double everything on their recommended sauces and add extra to your preference. You also get a side of rice and a spring roll with every order, which is a nice cherry on the top. The pricing is a bit on the expensive side, but for all you can eat you can definitely get your moneys worth. Overall Sizzling Fresh Mongolian BBQ is a solid spot to eat to your hearts desire!

The infamous tiny cup that's not worth a posted store policy about but you can only have one.

I ordered 3 bowls to go and asked for 6 to go cups for the teriyaki and spicy sauce since we weren't staying at the restaurant. That was a huge mistake as the lady was rude and said we can only have 3. She appeared as if I asked for the most egregious thing possible. Me asking for 6 tiny size to go cups was apparently just asking for too much. Now when I approach the lady I was polite with a please and thank you. She told me no and that I would have to add the 2nd sauce to the food. Now that made no sense as I would be adding more sauce to the food than if I would have just used the to go cup as I asked for. Now I just paid almost 50 dollars there and I couldn't get 3 extra cups. I mean I would have went to Walmart and bought extra cups if they needed them that bad. As I was leaving I did ask if the policy was posted anywhere and she said no very abruptly. So is it a restaurant policy or did she not want to get up to get me cups or she just didn't want to give me the cups personally. I would have paid for the extra cups if it was a posted restaurant policy. May that rude lady have the day she deserves. I will not be going back there. I rather travel to Roseville and get my Mongolian next time. It's too bad that they have rude people working there as they are already pricey

A Golden bowl of Happiness! When you get one bowl you can't help it but to get ANOTHER one, and ANOTHER one and ANOTHER one.

Negative signs, nobody smiles, cooked food was mixed hot and cold. Expensive. No soup! No lamb! No ambiance! Nobody checks on you.

The food was kind of bland. They were not busy at all, so the service was good. The Ambiance was fine. I probably will not go back.

Came here for lunch and they have some very cheap options, still under $12 as of this review date…read more I was craving sweet and sour chicken so I ordered the combo lunch plate. The chicken was crispy and had a lot of sauce, super sweet and tasty. The fried rice was extremely bland so it needed tons of hot sauce for me to actually eat it. The chow mein is very greasy and not that interesting. I like the vegetarian egg roll and the hot soup that comes with it though. Food comes out super quick. Not exactly the best quality Chinese but it's cheap food perfect for lunch.

So glad they opened a Seapot in Sac so I can get my fix without going to the Bay Area now :) Came on a Saturday at 6pm for a party of 2 noting 30min wait on the Yelp waitlist but actually no one was waiting much in the front when we got in to checkin and we got seated right away (maybe people starting to add names to the waitlist for 7pm!). Opted for hotpot only which is imo my go-to here, but appreciate that the sauce/salad bar has some Chinese sides / Korean banchan to cut through the meat (e.g. seaweed salad, pickled radish, korean fishcake, pretty good cold marinated pigs ears). Fried sides at the bar such as the eggrolls we skipped after 1x bc they were quite soggy. I've been to basically all the norcal Seapot locations now, this one and San Mateo are probably my go-to based on the fact they both have the best soup selection. My partner likes the tomato broth and I like creamy milk (sweet, savory, w some corn), which is unfortunately not on the menu of the Daly City location. In terms of meats, we usually just keep a steady flow of beef (Angus, Wagyu, Ribeye, Brisket) coming and enjoy all of them. Our waiter was very attentive, worked a lot of tables and we never had to ask for more soda refills or meat orders. As we ate, the restaurant got more crowded for the 7pm weekend dinner rush so we watched waves of ppl starting to line up at the sauce/salad bar after initially being seated so we would wait for these to die down before walking up there. Meat took a little bit more time to come out when it got more busy after we ordered with our waiter, but was a steady flow as we ate. If you come with a 4+ people, it's most fun to sit close to the conveyor in the booth to have best access to the hotpot sides. Depending on where you are seated on the conveyor, you might need to wait for certain seafood or noodle sides longer than others. But luckily the meat comes separately to your table, which is the star of the show anyways. Overall love Seapot and it is a nice addition to Sac esp during the cold season!
