Disgraceful and abusive manner from manager/owner My pandora bracelet broke of no fault of my own…read moreand under warranty sent this back to be repaired through Michaels. Although this is a free repair they charged me £13 for postage costs. However when I contacted pandora I was told this should not be the case and they will contact the store telling them I should be refunded. When receiving a voicemail to tell us this was the case, as instructed, we went back to the store to be told no one rang us and this was not the case and not true. Instead of being patient and handling the matter in a professional manner, we were treated terribly, being called liars and spoken to extremely rudely. I have never experienced this from a store as a customer and am disgusted by the manager/owners behaviour.

If you want a watch battery go to the tobacconists on bar streetit's cheaper. DO NOT go to the clock shop opposite they are a lot more expensive! Lovely staff (and friends of mine)

They are able to fit new batteries and watch straps whilst you wait for very reasonable prices. They will also attempt to solve other problems you may have with your watch. As well as the watch repair side of the shop they do sell some lovely watches, not a massive range but very nice. The watches are of the higher end of the range so quite expensive, but only comparative to what they are worth. The guys that work there are very pleasant and helpful.

Scarborough's annual Fair takes place around the last week in September…read more It consists of the usual fairground rides (bumper cars, ghost houses, whirlitzers) plus some more modern and extreme ones (big spinning thing that sends you 100 foot in the air upside down). Along with the rides are 'try your luck' stalls, various burger vans and sweet stalls. We Generally stock up on goldfish at this time as the ones from the fair seem to last a lot longer than ones from the shop. In earlier years the fair has attracted large gangs of kids with alcohol. However, this has been stamped out over the last two years with the introduction of fencing and security. The fair usually starts at 5pm and finishes at 10pm. I'm unfortunate enough to live near this so the noise can be quite disruptive. However, the fair itself is very good and is a spectacle to behold in the dark autumn nights.
