I'm always so skeptical of massage spas, especially in the city. Most are all glitzy with aroma therapy and lemon water but nothing that truly treats your muscles. WELL NO MORE- located in an intimate corner suite on E 60th street off Park and Madison are two of the strongest women that put our muscles to work. I use Groupon to try out massage parlors; and I did read some previous reviews about Siya not accepting it but it looks like they do now. Scheduling an appointment was super easy and quick- told them I wanted the earliest appointment for two with a Groupon voucher and she managed to schedule us in at noon the very next day. Upon arrival we were advised to use the bathroom, then ushered into a small room where we told to strip down to our underwear (make sure to prepare cute ones!), tucked ourselves under sheets, and proceeded to be reborn. The Thai combo consists of Swedish massage-like rubbing with coconut oil (you'll smell delicious) and your hardcore Thai massage- feet on your back, pretzel bending madness everyone's always looking for when they enter any Asian massage parlor. They asked for problem areas at the beginning of our session. Not only were our petite masseuses super strong, they were also very knowledgable of our bodies- they were able to pin point our knots and misalignments as they worked on kneading every problem and stress out. This massage is definitely not for those looking for the lemon water and fluffy robes to instagram- this is for those who want to repent for mistreating their bodies with bad posture and unavoidable stress. From head to toe, literally everything was worked on. Absolutely loved it and will be returning! read more

My deep tissue massage was so good here. It was exactly what my body needed. My masseuse was skilled and found all my tight spots and worked them out. I felt so good afterwards. It is at a convenient location in midtown. Clean, quiet and relaxing. read more

Nice chill environment, very professional. My Combo Thai massage with Chaya was great! I would recommend their services to anyone who wants to relax read more

Outstanding !! Just what Dr ordered . Stayed at Risidence Inn and is walking distance.

I am now a stable customer. Girlfriend gave me a certificate as a gift and I haven't looked back. While I'm careful about who lays hands on me and the transfer of energy this place is great. Andy and Nisa are my favs! I always feel rebalanced and energized. Emotions are no longer raging out of control and I can calmly face challenging situation. Thai yoga is not for the faint but it is definitely my style. read more

Wonderful massage with Jayda. So relaxing and great strength! Felt great after! Thank you!

Nisa is an amazing masseuse! She immediately identified my tight spots and got to work kneading out my knots. This is not a tender massage. To get the desired results, she pressed and rub areas with such force. At the conclusion of my hour, my body felt like jelly. Not for the faint of heart but highly recommended. read more

I just had one of the best massages ever with Mena. I walked in with tight muscles and pain and walked out completely pain free. She managed to find all the tight spots and released them. She is truly a skilled massage therapist. Thank you! read more

I had Katie for a 60 min Thai massage. I've had over 500 massages and this was in the top 10. Highly recommend.

Wanted to kill an hour after work. Looked for massage places close by and ended up here after calling to confirm availability for a walk in. Asked for the Swedish flow massage. Asked for focus areas, pointed out calves and back. Pressure is good but could use some nuance. Definitely got lots of work on the back but the masseuse was probably too comfortable with letting my muscles roll around under pressure, as opposed to gentler pressure to get the muscles to release. That said, I feel my back is sore but relaxed now a day later, so maybe I just need to trust the process. They also threw in the signature stretches even though I was expecting just Swedish techniques. Not necessarily a bad thing but unexpected. The masseuse had a good time laughing at my groans during the stretches and also the calf and back work. Facilities were dark but seemed clean and comfortable. Temperature was a little warm but adjusted once I asked, and it turned frigid quickly. That was also corrected once I spoke up again, so at least they're responsive. All in, especially with its convenient location for me, it remains in consideration for future visits. read more

There are no words to express how AMAZING my massage with Andi was. I feel like all of the rough edges are becoming smooth. Thank you for your gifted hands. You have a regular customer, and I will be sure to tell my friends about Siya Spa. Wonderful experience. read more

I bought a groupon for a combo massage. The massage therapist, I believe Annie was her name, was not good at all. I have had thai massages before and greatly enjoyed them, however i did not enjoy it at all at Siya. Additionally, I tipped Annie a generous amount and based on the groupon price, and she stopped me in the lobby and insisted i tip her double (in front of everyone) and waited until i double zelled her. This is so unprofessional and apalling. Terrible experience and I will not be returning read more

I have come here several times now and it is always the ideal experience I tried going somewhere else one time because it was a little cheaper but it was horrible. You get what you pay for here and I couldn't recommend it more! read more

This Spa no longer accepts Groupon vouchers. I was advised to request a refund from Groupon and they would accept the original payment in cash. Upon my trip to the Third Avenue location; I was informed by the concierge that the Spa had moved. Yes, I understand the frustration of the reviewer who complained, but once this situation was addressed my fiancé and I had outstanding massages. The therapists were knowledgeable, competent and strong. We met the owner Siya when we were leaving. She explained her reason for discontinuing with Groupon and apologized for any prior inconvenience. They deserved and received a decent tip for their hard work. I have scheduled another appointment . Keep up the great work ladies!!!!! read more

Siya and JJ are extremely good at what they do. They are also professional but very nice people. Their Spa is very clean and you won't get a better massage. read more

The technicians are exceptionally skilled and warm, creating an incredibly comfortable and relaxing experience. They use a special Thai coconut oil for the massage that soothes and heals, promoting deep relaxation. I highly recommend their services! read more

I am visiting from out of town for work. I desperately needed a massage. Siya got me in same day and made an appointment for me although the end would be 30 minutes past closing time. My massage was amazing! Stretching, Deep tissue, and reflexology all in one. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend. read more

I had a 1hr with JJ, and was surprisingly underwhelmed. She uses alot of elbows and it felt like light caressing until I asked her to go stronger. I felt like she didn't get deep enough when we did some of the stretching. I'm an athlete so I was hoping to get more out of this, but I think the cheaper chinese massages are actually better. Her body cracked more than mine during the massage haha I also wish they would have asked what I wanted to work on, or where I was tight because I felt like my masseur had no idea and was just going through the motions. She also spent more time on my left side than my right (dominant side). They're super friendly though and gave me a small water bottle and ginger candy upon leaving. OH! If you get a groupon- they also charge $12 in tax! I had no idea so I was only able to leave a $11 tip for the masseur which I felt bad about. read more

I really like this business. Great location, easy to find, excellent service with good price. I'll definitely come back in the future and recommend to others read more

I can't say enough about SIYA! I have been coming to her for 3 years now and at this point at least monthly- sometimes when I'm really tight or have a special area that needs work ill be back in 2 weeks. I am NEVER disappointed and ALWAYS get SERIOUS Release. Yes sometimes I'm sore a day or two- but it is SO worth it NOT to walk around carrying unnecessary tension in your body. She gets the kinks and knots OUT as much as you can stand. AGAIN as I've said before- pressure can be adjusted of course- but I like the FULL anointing of the hands and the Full stretching. I come to be changed. Sometimes she even crawls on me or stands as well- VERY SERIOUS...VERY INSPIRING MASSAGING. I have never went ANY other place since coming to SIYA. JJ was awesome too- but she's got a passion for the culinary arts right now. Anyway...I'm a customer FOREVER!! read more

I had the wonderful opportunity of getting a massage from Siya right before Xmas and it was hands down the best one I have ever received. I have tried sports, deep tissue, and every massage you can think of but none better than this one. I would recommend to anyone read more

I bought a Groupon for two Thai massages and when I called to make an appointment, I was told that they are not accepting Groupon vouchers. Siya healing spa thus told me to request a full refund from Groupon.....however- this spa will fulfill the same services for the same price. First of all, this is so shady. I know it's direct business and you will reap 100% of monetary value. But cmon. You agreed to do business with Groupon so you should uphold your agreement. The expiration is mid June!!! Bad business ethics and inconvenienced me. Lost a customer. read more

Omg...one of the best massages I have ever had!!! ITD the best combo of Thai massage and Tui Na Massage. JJ really got int there...my hips and glutes got an amazing workout/release. Great combination of deep tissue massage and Thai stretching. Siya is a warm and caring professional - I've seen her for all of my visits before today. Today, she suggested another person (I missed her name) who was also great. Siva, true to form, checked afterwards to make sure I was pleased. Not every moment is great here - some require smart breathing to get through it - but the end result is, I think, as good as it gets. read more

Siya and her staff will give you an experience to remember! My friend and I had the combination massage, which was unlike anything I had ever done. The pressure was perfect and I left feeling like a million bucks! The healing energy is felt as soon as you walk in the room. This place is not to be missed. The treatments are reasonably priced and well with every penny. Add this to your "to do" list whether you are a local or just visiting the city for the day. You will be happy that you did! read more

I am US Army Paratrooper and Disabled Combat Veteran; I am living multiple physical injuries from my military service but I have long since made a decision not to let my condition stand in the way of getting in and maintaining an excellent physical conditioning at all times. I engage in weightlifting, running and boxing on a weekly basis. At my job as an Armed Security Guard I am on my feet for up to 10 hours per day, or night depending on the schedule. After living with constant pain, stiffness and soreness, after searching for an effective treatment, I was happy to find this place. Siya's Medical Thai Massage Technique is absolutely outstanding and unique in its effectiveness. I would like to highly recommend Siya Healing Spa to anyone who suffers from muscle soreness, debilitating structural alignment issues or just general fatigue from overtraining in sports and serious physical activity. The Medical Thai Massage Technique that Siya uses heals the aching muscles by a particular type of trigger point massage combined with very strong body weight massage that works by effectively breaking up the scar tissue build up and forcing fresh blood flow into the injured and inflamed areas of the body. She methodically moves and manipulates the entire body in a specific sequence, not missing any parts that are sore from various types of injuries. If a muscle knot is particularly swollen and inflamed, to the point of the area being too tight for her sharp elbows to work properly with the deep tissue massage, she then uses a rubber mallet to actually gently beat the muscle into a softer state, thereby enabling her to actively and effectively penetrate the muscle knot with a deep tissue elbow or knee massage Technique. Make no mistake, this Medical Massage is not pleasant during the initial breaking up of the tight muscle knot phase, it can actually be quite painful. However, this ancient Technique has been around for many hundreds of years for a good reason; it actually works. After the painful phase is over there is an amazing feeling of healing and recovery that flows over you as you are able to notice a real and immediate improvement in your mobility of the sore muscle area that she has worked on. Once the improved mobility in the body part has been achieved, the Thai Medical Massage Method continues with stretching for additional muscle recovery. Many Thai Boxing Fighters are using this type of massage every time that they finish a fight, in order to heal and recover faster from their injuries. After only a few sessions I guarantee that you will feel stronger, better, healthier and filled with more energy than before. Some injuries are more stubborn than others but the overall experience of improved movement and recovery from severe pain will pleasantly surprise you. If you are serious about finding the ideal sports massage and recovery from injuries, Siya Healing Spa Thai Medical Massage is the best option for you in my humble opinion. Sincerely, Jake. read more

I'm in town from LA and my lower back was hurting. Went on yelp and found this place and it was awesome. JJ worked on me for over an hour with a nice mix of relaxing and stretching. There were some intense moments of kneading out some knots but she was sure to ask me if the pressure was ok. She was the sweetest, too. With a positive attitude. When I'm back in the City, i will definitely come back to Siya! read more

Came to NYC for work and hurt my back. This was by far the best massage I've ever had, a bit rough but in all the right ways

This was the perfect massage. Painful to the bone but just to the point where it released the tension and bad neck and shoulder pain I carried for weeks now. Do go here and see what I mean. I could never imagine that such a small person could have the power to work through to the core. When back in NY this is where I am going. I also want to point out that this place is strictly honorable (I even overheard a direct rejection of someone asking for added service). So, do go this quality should be rewarded! read more

We drove up to visit family in NYC and my husband's back was killing him so my sister suggested he go to Siya for a massage.... he blew it off because he said he had never had a massage that actually worked but he eventually went in and was blown away. Evidentally, he was turned into a pretzel and all the kinks were worked out of his whole body. He said he stood and inch taller, felt 10 years younger and his back pain was totally gone. The next day he insisted I go in too, before our drive back home..... I wasn't sold but he talked me into it anyways..... OMGosh.... so glad I went! Siya is amazing! She's not like a regualr massage where they just rub/ relax you and your back pain comes back the next day..... She fixed my husband's back pain in one session. I wasn't in pain like he was but ever since my stroke a few years ago I've had constant headaches and after a session with Siya I felt completely clear and rejuvenated. My posture was better, my sore muscles were kinked out, my head didn't hurt anymore. We decided we are going in for massages with Siya every time we come to visit NYC from now on. read more
