I didn't even ask for the 0.75L bottled water they gave, just asked for water. Water is usually free. Waitress asked "Large or small water?" I said large. She never told me a large water costs €7 (more than most drinks on their menu, including soft drinks, juices, milkshakes, wine). If knew they charged for it, I wouldn't have gotten water at all. What a scam! Also, food was mediocre. Burger fell apart because of thin bun. Had to season dry, overcooked patty with salt/pepper on table. Couldn't taste blue cheese flavor. I ignored reviews and came because it was late night Saturday, little else was open. Apparently, Route 66 was a great diner from the 90s-10s, but filed for bankruptcy years ago and never recovered. Don't ignore its bad reviews. If looking late night food nearby, try Bundesburger. Better taste, lower cost, higher quality.

I ordered cheese and peperoni which the bartender quickly informed me was not what I thought it was and that it would be big banana peppers with cheese...I decided to give it a try anyway and very glad I did!!! They nailed the American theme and the music was pretty fire. For a nightcap it was not a bad place.
