After a brutal 48 hours of non responsive phone customer service Gosia helped us and with less than 5 minutes we were out with a brand new X5, Keep on the good work (: not sure why the reviews on yelp are way worst than google... Folks, Do NOT rent from this SIXT location. First, they assessed a "cleaning fee" of $150 and after I gave them a bad review on the SIXT website they charged me a $597 "damage" fee for a scratch on the passenger door that I did not create. Also, since I never saw the scratch and they did not send photos - I suspect they made it up. These folks are real thieves. Do not do business with them. Be careful. read more

Do not use Sixt. Car was disabled (flat tire) outside of Aspen, outside of cellphone coverage. I hiked and hitched my way back into town and spoke with their representative giving them a detailed location of where the car was located and was told that that everything was ok, I had their additional insurance. Two months later the car was missing, then found again, and charged with $2000 dollar 440 mile tow to an unknown location. read more

I'm being charged for damages that I did not do. This company also left me stranded at the airport when all other rental companies were running shuttles. Cost make $80 extra in Uber and time out of my trip. All around HORRIBLE experience. read more

we recently rented a car at sixt, they gave us the car, we couldn't see if the car was damaged, after three days we returned the car properly parked in the parking place, after 2 days they sent us a late bill that the car was damaged, the pictures they sent us clearly showed that the car was moved and taken from a different position. I travel all the time and use rentals, so far this has never happened. I read the comments and it is clear proof that they do this to everyone. plus the car was dirty inside out the car had a fuel fault for the car 2025 and 4k miles really? when we asked them for pictures and evidence of the tested car of the predecessor, they did not attach it to us. is the procedure to send an invoice after 2-3 days of what is being discussed here, I would like an explanation. read more

The customer service rep ( Mark ) at Aspen airport was terrible. He served and accommodated customers based on his discretion even though many had reservations first. He was biased and treated people unfairly. I guess you must know somebody in order to receive a fair treatment here! I will never try to use them again! read more

sixt are thieves. please read. i arrived at ege airport on january 31st at 2:30 pm there was no one at the sixt counter. i called the local branch just to find out an answering machine to "call later". i called the 1-800 sixt number. they have my call recorded. after 30 minutes no one could give me my car. there was no one. period. i had to rent with another company. my credit card was charged by sixt with the full amount of my rental. i claimed but was told that their policy was no refunds. i repeat, i never got my car. sixt owes me $500 usd. sixt are thieves. run away. do not rent from them jordi.zindel@gmail.com read more

This company is a total scam and I wish I had read all of the reviews beforehand. I rent cars all of the time and this is the first shady company I've ever dealt with. I had the car less than 48 hours, used less than a tank of gas and paid $55 a day at my hotel so I could park in a secure area away from other cars. 3 days after I returned the car they report I've scratched a rear bumper down to the primer. No I didn't! The damage was clearly there already. Btw I made my reservation through Expedia for a RAV4 and I picked up the car from the Denver airport at almost 2am. They "upgraded" me to a BMW in a dark parking lot with no inspection or light to see the vehicle. I've never picked up a rental car without a full inspection. They don't want you to inspect the car, they plan on charging you for damages already on the vehicle. Clearly a way for this company to make me pay to fix their already damaged entry level BMW. I've never been "upgraded" for a rental car before so clearly this is their scam. Also, I've never dropped off a car without an inspection. I dropped off the car to this Aspen airport location. They wait until you're long gone, flew out of the airport into another city and then 3 days later hit you up for "damages". I drive a much nicer car than this and don't scratch, damage, hit or back up into things, I'm an LA driver ffs. I'll be leaving this same review on all of the sites to warn people to stay away from them. Expedia has a false 9+ rating for Sixt when the other big car rental companies have 6's. Clearly something fishy is going on with the Expedia rating being inflated when their google and Yelp reviews are dismal 1 stars. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Sixt is a scam and a dishonest, unscrupulous company! read more

Nice and smooth. Aspen airport is pretty small, it's more of an executive airport than a commercial one but I digress. The check in was pretty smooth, the counter is literally in front of bagage claim. The process was pretty quick. When you're done you simply go outside and they bring the car to you. Checking out, there are assigned parking spots for the brand, park there walk all of 100 yards into the terminal and drop off you key into a secured metal box and you're done. As always, great quality cars at reasonable prices. read more

We were mischarged for the vehicle after returning it - not due to damage but they charged us 3 x the daily rate that was given to us in our rental agreement. I have tried to contact the company 2x in the past 2 weeks to resolve the issue and cannot get a person on the phone. read more

Rented vehicle with upgrade at the Denver Sixt branch to drive to Aspen. 30 minutes outside of Aspen the brakes malfunctioned, abs light and engine failure lights turned on. We were unable to stop the vehicle. Jesus, representative at Sixt Aspen, requested for us to drive the vehicle to the Aspen branch. We did so at approximately 30 miles an hour with 10% brake capability. After a treacherous drive, we arrived at Sixt, where we met Jesus. Jesus informed us that there were no comparable vehicles to take and advised us to continue driving the malfunctioning car. We are incredibly disappointed with the customer service we received today and the lack of concern for our safety. read more

The car was generally nice (it was a complimentary upgrade to a nicer model), and the counter service was friendly. Unfortunately, though, there were two issues with the vehicle and when I brought them up when I returned it they didn't seem to take it seriously. First, the car had a tire with a persistent leak (I put air in it twice, including once using a borrowed compressor from a barn 26 miles up a rural 2-lane road, during a snowstorm...) and they didn't seem to grasp that it wasn't just that "they should have checked the tires before giving it to me" -- I feel bad for whoever got the car next as they clearly had no plans to fix the leak. Second, this rental was in November in a week with a snowstorm in the forecast and there was no snowscraper in the car. I did find one to borrow when I woke up to a car covered in snow, but again...seriously? You're renting SUVs in Aspen in winter without snowscrapers? read more

Easiest car rental experience I have ever encountered. Super friendly/accommodating staff who was willing to go the extra mile to help my family get the right vehicle for our trip in Colorado. Our Mercedes was also brand new (400 miles) and handled great in the snow during our trip over to Vail/Breckenridge from Aspen. Had a horrible experience. I accidently booked my car for the wrong dates; called them immediately (within a minute of making my reservation) and they assured me that if I rebooked for the correct dates, they would refund the reservation made for the wrong dates. I did exactly as they said, but now they are refusing to refund my reservation for the original dates, so I've had to pay twice for my rental. I've been fighting with their customer service and they are zero help and now will not respond to me. So good luck if you run into an issue and need help from this company. Arrived at Denver airport we reserved a Range Rover velar or " similar class" we arrived and they said we got contracted to a Volvo. So fine. Stop 4 wheels drive so we just let it be. And the rep Jessica seem super nice and told us we can upgrade if a Range Rover then up and they promised to call because we were willing to come back to switch out the car. We have a Range Rover hse at home so we feel safer to drive to aspen ina. Car we know vs the Volvo. Went to our car it was in terrible condition dirty, dent on side door and scratch i mean bad scratches not just a little. A windshield wipers was not properly working. Went back in happened to get help by Andrew the manager he's super nice also and told us he will follow up and the car is not acceptable conditions. Anyway all lips service. We waited 24 hrs and still no call or emails as promised. Bottom line go with hertz or bigger rental car that will give you a save functional car. I should have Read reviews before renting. This was our first time and will be our last. Would not recommend. No quality of service in maintaining their car. Giving families unsafe cars when they know all the family is making that dangerous drive to Aspen. They don't care about people's lives at all. Somebody should report them to BBB and this should be known. read more

Sixt has been an excellent company to work with. I've rented from them in Denver, Atlanta, Orlando, and Aspen. Customer service is a priority. The cars are always clean and getting out of the airpot is never a hassle. I also appreicate that they refunded my pre-paid rental when my flights into Aspen were cancelled. We had a reservation to pick up our car at 8:15 PM in Aspen, CO. Our flight arrived late, yet the location had our flight info. We arrived at the desk and no one was there, apparently this location closes at 8:30 PM. We called the after hours number and left several messages and sent a text. No one returned our call. We were essentially stranded at the airport. The Alamo desk was still open. We returned a similar car (Luxury SUV) for $600 less. we never received a return call from SIXT, not even the next morning.
