"PLEASE DO NOT GET A CAR FROM SIXT"
You want to know why? I have full explanation below and please do read so you won't have to deal with what I had to go through.
We went to SIXT at Ramstein Air BASE on 10th September 2016 to reserve a premium car for our trip. We asked the lady we need premium car like E-Class Mercedes, UNLIMITED mileage, Automatic Transmission, Navigation. The lady says "Yes, We have E-Class Mercedes and it is Euro 113.00 for one day that includes Unlimited kilometer, Automatic Transmission, Diesel Engine and Navigation.
We were like ok reserve it please and she did reserve a car and also added additional driver for some additional charge. We asked when we come to pick up the car in the evening, Are you going to be here? she said "NO" Martinez will be here then we said that's fine.
Now, we went to pick up car and sign paper work at 0750pm on the same day and we talked to Ms. Martinez and again we confirmed asking "The car comes with Unlimited Mileage, Automatic Transmission and Navigation right". She says "Yes" and you are lucky that you got the car that you wanted on the same day. She made me sign and initial some documents and there was the block where I initial for "You have free Unlimited Kilometer" and then got the car keys and finished the paper work at 0750pm. We also asked when is our drop off time and Ms. Martinez says 0830pm next day and she was saying 15min is a grace period and we were like ok thank you and left the place.
Next day on Sunday at sharp 0800pm we dropped of the keys. Thursday evening is the day when the charge was posted on my account which was $255. I was like how in the world Euro 113.00 becomes $255 then I called SIXT on Friday 16 September 2016 at 0903 and asked Mam I got charged more than I was supposed to be charged. She gets my last name and checks then tells me, "You drove more than 900kilometers and that is why there is additional charge on your account". (Readers: You see their service, what they tell you and what they do?????).
I lost my mind and I was like when we got the car the lady did say Unlimited kilometers, Automatic Transmission, Diesel engine and Navigation for Euro 113.00 and now you are saying I drove more than 900km. She tells me, "It's on the contract and you should read the contract". I was like, NOPE the only reason I rented the car because it had UNLIMITED KILOMETERS and now you are saying I drove more than 900km.
Then she tells me, I will talk to the headquarter and will refund the amount by Tuesday which is 4 days from now. I will wait to see if I get the refund or not then I will post one more review.
So, I guess you guys understood how they treat customers and how the employees give misleading information to the customers and overcharge your account.
They are "THIEF". DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THEM!! Instead you can try Enterprise or Thrift. read more
