She even provided us a card that we could load to recharge electric cars in case we needed to do this during our rental period. We couldn't have asked for an easier car rental in a foreign country.

The agent told us she had jacked up the price because it was the last rental car available in the city. We should have left then, but we were hot, tired, hungry, and had to get to a small town a hundred miles away by morning. Who knew that all the extras, which the agent assured us we needed in France, would nearly double the cost of the rental car. When I saw the charge, I called Sixt multiple times and asked them to adjust the price to a more reasonable level, but they refused. I will never rent from Sixt again. Never.

I booked a car online through Auto Europe, but when I got to this agency, I was told that they didn't have my car and I was to get an "upgrade". I was never provided with an estimate. After I returned my car, I was told that they will email me an invoice. Many hours later when I was far gone from the city, I saw on my credit card that they charged me over €500 for three days of rental. I still have not gotten a statement from them. I had rented from other European agencies without any problems. Stay away from Europcar and Auto Europe.

We also let them know up front that we'd be driving across borders and adding additional drivers so we weren't surprised by the add-on fees which I found to be pretty reasonable. They weren't able to sell us Umweltzone stickers or Vignettes but we ended up not needing the former and the latter was easily purchased from a gas station on the Swiss border. Our car was in great shape and had a full featured Apple CarPlay system so we were able to navigate with our phones everywhere we went. Rental return went smoothly and there was not push back about a little sand on the floor mats. By far the best European car rental experience we've ever had.

We had filled up our car with gas. Very dishonest.
