However, my train was delayed by an hour or two, and Sixt had given away the car I reserved. they did eventually get me into a car, but it sure wasn't worth the hassle and stress. Return service was worse, positively, dreadful -- no clear indication of where to leave the car; no parking area attendants to help, etc. Six weeks later I receive an email from Sixg noting damage to the car. The photos they eventually sent appeared to be of a different car entirely, and even then I couldn't see any damage. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN. Frankly, it feels like a scam. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! Before renting from them google fraud damage claims. This company scams its customers by claiming fake damage there is even a Facebook group devoted to this. I unfortunately did not know this and just received a false damage report claim which I absolutely did not do. I googled them and found they just had to settle a class action lawsuit due to this practice and yet they are continuing to scam their customers. read more

We rented a car to travel around Provence and to the coast. The check in process was very easy, the people were helpful, and the return process was quick. I also left my credit card in the car by accident, and they called immediately to let me know they found it. I would rent from them again when in Aix! read more

We only returned our rental here. I have to say, the young man who came out to meet us was probably the nicest French person we met in our entire 2 weeks in France. He spoke excellent English and was a pleasure to work with. A note on finding this location: It's small, so you'll have to be alert. It's on the side of the street that heads back toward Fontaine de la Rotonde. There is a small store front and a miniscule driveway. We just pulled into the driveway (half blocking the sidewalk) because we didn't see anywhere else to park. Anyway, the super-nice young man gave the vehicle a once over and, quite generously, did not fault us (despite a nick or two we definitely incurred over 1,400 miles of driving!) read more

I had the worst experience with Sixt! My friends and I rented a car from Aix-en-Provence to drive to Chamonix for the weekend. When we were driving back from our weekend trip, our car broke down as a result of a malfunction with the engine. We had to taxi 40 minutes further away to the border of France and Switzerland to get a new rental car and drive home even further. Unfortunately, we were charged for the extra mileage. I contacted Sixt customer service several times and they didn't respond. I 100% recommend using a different car rental service. I will never be using Sixt again. read more
