The ladies working there were very attentive and explained the process of self-pouring your own glass of wine. They made sure to walk us through the steps and were readily available if we had any questions. The bar was spotless and well decorated. I liked the black and white photos that lined the walls. It's decorated in a cozy but chic feel that allows you to feel comfortable. As for the wine, I enjoyed reading and leading about the different wines they offered. They have description cards for each bottle that you can take with you. I ended up trying 2 wines and they were both delicious. Definitely check this place out for a calm girls night out, a cute date spot, or a great place to enjoy a glass of wine solo.

Such a neat concept- you're given a card, make your way around the wall of wines, pick what you'd like to try and pour yourself a glass, basically enjoy wine on tap! If you find one you really love, you can always go back for a fuller pour. Not wanting to do that? No worries. they also offer wine-based beverages you can order right from your table. The space itself is quaint and perfectly laid out for its size. They even have the cutest patio area. Everything we tried food-wise was fantastic: Meatballs Dirty Martini Crostini Cheese Board Pizza I'd happily order every single item again, and I'm already looking forward to working my way through more of the menu. I also noticed they host different events regularly, and I absolutely loved the comedy show. It was run very well, and you could tell the comedians were having just as much fun as the crowd. I'll definitely be back for the next one and I'm following their social media for more events.

I tried their mushroom flatbread on a (very nervous) whim due to a free sample, and immediately fell in love. We loved it so much that we came back shortly after just to order another! Wine selection here is amazing, and the service has always been so friendly. We always feel at home. Cost inside, too with warm and low lighting. I highly recommend Grand Cru. Chris let us know that they have live music on Friday, maybe Saturday nights. Plus, we loved the little puppy treat station by the door. Magnolia gets busier every year, and I was confused by the signs in the back lot. After chatting with my server, I learned that parking is free in the back and side lot on weekends, so don't let the red and blue paid parking signs scare you away. The wine bar itself is spacious, with plenty of seating and a relaxed atmosphere. It wasn't packed, but there were enough people enjoying a bottle of wine and catching up with friends that it felt lively without being crowded. I really liked how the wine selection was displayed on the shelves with information about where each wine was from and the price. Using my passport, I chose a Vinho Verde from Portugal. It was light, crisp, and refreshing, just what I was looking for on a hot Texas afternoon. The service was excellent. My server was friendly, walked me through my options, and kept refilling my water throughout my visit, which was especially appreciated on such a warm day. I also noticed they have a full calendar of events, including live music, sip and paint, and a mimosa bar from 8-11 on Saturdays. What stood out most to me was the location. It's the perfect place to meet friends for a glass of wine before dinner on Magnolia, or to settle in and spend the afternoon people watching and relaxing. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their wine list.

It's got that cozy, neighborhood wine bar vibe you're hoping for dim lighting, a solid date-night feel. You walk in thinking, "this could be a regular spot." But then things land a little... mid. The wine selection is decent, but nothing that really stands out or feels curated in a memorable way. Same with the food, good enough, nothing terrible, but not something I've thought about going back for. It all just kind of blends together. For a place that leans heavily on the wine bar identity, I expected a bit more personality or a standout dish or pairing. Service was fine no major issues but not especially warm or engaging either. Overall, it's not a bad spot. it's just missing that "hook".

The crust has that perfect combination of crispy on the outside while still being light and airy, the ingredients taste fresh, and the flavor combinations are way beyond what you normally expect from "bar pizza." This is legitimately great pizza that just happens to be served inside an awesome neighborhood bar. What I really like about River's is the overall vibe. It feels upscale without being pretentious and comfortable enough that you can stop in for a drink and pizza or hang around for the evening. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is fun, and it has that neighborhood-place feeling where you can see yourself becoming a regular. Fort Worth has plenty of bars and plenty of pizza places, but River's manages to do both extremely well. If you haven't tried River's yet, put it on your list, and definitely come hungry.
