The Gil Hanse designed course played much more difficult than the course rating. The hilly terrain yields many blind tees shots and obstructed shots to the greens. There was much movement on the greens-some of it not quite fair. Hanse developed this course after Inniscrone in southern chester county. That course was a controversial layout and Hanse surprisingly repeated some of the same (mistakes) here. Overall, a must play course that will have you shaking your head.

The staff upon arrival quickly meets you at the bag drop or if you're like me, missed that sign and they ran out to me at my truck. The clubhouse looks french country which makes sense, and the high ceilings of the men's locker room are incredible. The pro shop is stocked with premium brands and even Johnnie O gear which is cool! The course was playing a lot longer for us that day since it had rained a ton the day earlier but the conditions were superb. Tees, fairways and bunkers especially were spectacular. The rough was rough and when I got way off line it got rougher but that's expected based upon where I was! Greens are immaculate. I will say that the practice green on our day was quicker than the course greens, so that took a hole to get used to. Playing the tips left us with some serious challenges out there. Don't let the card yardage of just shy of 6600 fool you, it plays closer to 6900 because of the uphill plays to many greens. Also, if you don't score wel your first time, it's because of the greens, they take a little knowledge that none of the guys in my group had but thankfully we had a caddy to really help guide us! We're all long hitters in our group and he adjusted for our distance admirably once he saw it fly, I think our caddy was an asset to our enjoyment of the day! So why not the 5 stars you're wondering? Well, once we were all finished it's time for drinks on the fabulous outside deck overlooking 18 green, and our bartender seemed seriously disinterested in our party of 8. I ordered a pulled pork which was very good and very fresh but was more of an italian beef style with peppers and onions and spinach, I think it was spinach, I didn't read the menu unfortunately but was told that this was a quick sandwich. The views were great, the course was fabulous, the outside services was fantastic, but the last interaction we had was with a seemingly grumpy bartender and that tarnishes an otherwise special day.

This was a visit in the spark of the moment as I was in the area and Googled Shooting ranges near…read moreme, I decided to come in for a try out. I like Shooting and keeping updated with my gun handling skills. Shooting is like riding a bicycle, once you know it, you don't forget. It is like swimming, eventhough you don't swim frequently, still, swimming is a life saving skill that all humans must know. It's been a while since I was Shooting and I am still sharp and on target. Loved it, I love men's toys. Guns are only good in the hands of trained professionals, my opinion. Tips to remember, keep your hands off the triger, the trigger is soft as a feather, is just sooo smooth and ready to go. While you aim, hold your breath, it helps to make your target more accurate, it works for me, I never miss. I liked this place and the easiness to use it for practice. I was a bit scared because I had no appointment and I was in the indoor range with other customers who were strangers to me. I came in alone, I like to do a lot of things alone because I can focus more on what I am doing or trying to learn. If you are a beginner, most likely, you will need an appointment. The guys working here behind the counter were all nice, great custome service, and good game for me.

We decided, after buying a new home, that we would turn the finished basement into the game room…read more. We debated a home theater down there. We debated a second living area, then we thought about it, we dont' have kids, and we really aren't huge movie buffs... so maybe we should have a fun basement for when we have some friends over, or those cold winter snowy nights where sitting outside isn't a reality , and you're sick of TV. So we headed over to RR Games. I wanna preface this by saying I've driven by this store for 4 years when I worked in Douglassville. Never stopped by, but really should have. The place is insanely cool. Tons of games, pinball machines, arcade machines, pool tables, skee ball(!!!), foosball , bubble hockey, old boardwalk style (Love tester) machines, it was just cool. Tons of small decor items you can add as well. Just a very cool place. We wandered around for awhile, and were met by Gerri Lea (according to our receipt). She answered a lot of questions for us (we initially only went to look), and noticed when we had stumbled upon a floor model in the rear of the shop. She told us the original price(a quick google search revealed many online places were selling for that price), and that the reason it was marked down was it was the last one left, and we would not be able to get our choice of felt. We liked the color of felt enough that was on it to not pay for the upgrade. Here's the kicker. Usually I hate upsells. From everything starting at French fries all the way up to sports packages on cars. I hate when I find one thing, and the seller shows me better things that I could have for "only a little bit more". Not here. She showed us the included package and each upgraded package. Noting what individual prices would be buying it all separately. (Again, a quick google search revealed their prices were pretty in line), and it made sense for us to do the upgrade to get the better table cover(we have cats who would make short work of the felt), 4 cues instead of 2, the better racks, the bridge, etc. It was all stuff we would have bought piecemeal, but instead it all came with the table for a fair price! We wound up getting the ping pong conversion kit as well for the top of the table as the price was right. We will be back. We will be adding air hockey and skeeball at the end of winter , and who knows what else. Definitely come here first , and dont come just looking, because you'll be leaving with what you were looking at. One quick side note. I had my table delivered today. Delivery guys were super nice. Accommodating the fact we had pets made sure to keep the doors closed, and not open up the doors we asked them not to, in order to keep both they , and our pets safe. Table was set up in the area I asked them too, but they modified it by a few inches because of shooting angles, and made sure I was ok with it. TOtal experience was an A+ with RR Games.

The first level has a lot of collectible items; I specifically remember seeing a selection of brass buckets and vintage political pins. The upstairs section is a labyrinthine attic space. You climb up and down these homespun staircases, and there are items on display in all the corners and crawlspaces. They had a wide selection of styles, even though the store isn't huge. I was specifically looking for mid-century pieces, and I bought a brass three-headed floor lamp for $30, a steel and upholstery desk chair for $40, and a teak American of Martinsville server for $130. Many of the items I saw had condition issues, but there were pristine pieces if you looked carefully. I had trouble getting the server in my car, and the shop's handyman kindly helped me tie up my trunk.
