But I'm telling you...this place is worth it. It's huge and quite literally, they have anything and everything you could ever want for your garden. Also, unlike every other garden shop in the area, they still are stocked with flowers even after the Fourth of July. All the women who work there are incredibly friendly and helpful. They will help you pick out the flowers that grow best together, look best together, and then show you how to arrange them to make them grow to their full potential. they also have their own specialty baskets that they put together in the shop. Though they are a wee bit pricey, I can only imagine it would cost as much if you went around and picked each flower and plant you wanted individually and put it together at home. Also, they have these awesome things called the "downunder basket." Supposedly, they are the only people in St. Louis to make them and they are basically an upside down plant. It's really cool and an original gift if you are looking to bring something of this type as a hostess gift. They also have quite a collection of fountains and other yard ornaments if you are into that sort of thing as well. So...if you are as disappointed with the assortment of flowers in most of the garden shops around town, it may be worth hauling it out to Wildwood. I certainly thought so.

We chose Chesterfield Valley Nursery for the job, and it was the best decision we could've made. Colten Graves, their Landscape Designer & Irrigation Supervisor, was absolutely phenomenal. From the beginning, he treated our yard like it was his own. He was on-site daily, sometimes more than once, and communicated consistently, professionally, and with care. His knowledge is second to none, plants, trees, rock, grading, drainage, design. You name it, Colten handled it with precision. When he said the crew would arrive at a certain time, they did. And the respect the team showed for our property was outstanding. One crew member even removed his muddy boots before walking across our white patio steps. I've never seen that level of care before. Yes, the pricing is on the higher end, but the white-glove service and final result more than justified the cost. Our backyard is now a beautiful, functional space that we love. We'll be hiring Colten again next year for the front yard and recommending him to everyone we know. If you're considering anything from planting a tree to a full-scale yard transformation, do yourself a favor and call Chesterfield Valley Nursery and ask for Colten Graves. You won't be disappointed.

Everything is fresh picked each morning and if vegetables can be beautiful... these are! The produce area is small but quaint. The makeshift stand is the perfect little gem at the end of the long gravel drive. The items that are available, season dependent, includes Corn, Peppers, Tomatoes, Onions, Spaghetti Squash, Butternut Squash, carrots, Eggplant, Potatoes and they also have Farm fresh eggs on occasion as well as their own honey!!! Later in the summer, fresh gladiolus are available for sale. What a treat. It's my Friday "present to me" when those flowers are in season. They are gorgeous!l and like everything else here, they seem to last longer than what I'd buy at the local grocer. Everything is reasonably priced and the quality is simply unmatched! If you want it any fresher, you'll have to pick it and eat it in the garden!! We have purchased so many things here then in a moment of convenience (already at the grocery store) we pick up a like item at the local grocery store and it's always met with terrible disappointment. If you enjoy taking advantage of summers culinary bounty, do not miss this awesome spot in Cottleville

We have purchased: - bushes and flowers - flowers and potting soil for Mom for Mother's Day - soil and mulch for covering new grass seed - a special spray to remove some "critters," apparently called 'scale' which are some shelled animal that was coating ALL of the bark on one of our trees... apparently making some kind of sugar, which made the bark and almost all of the leaves black... which attracted bees and wasps and yellow hackets and other similarly-shaped stinging bugs, buzzing all over the place.... AND just like the Timberwinds team said... spray the tree twice and it will be cleared of the scale, and that is precisely what happened... Thank you, especially, Timberwinds, for the All Seasons Horticultural & Dormant Spray Oil that remove the scale The team is friendly and helpful, too!

Some of the price is justified because they have warranty protection on some. You will leave with only a few items under $50 so make sure you do your wallet research. I love shopping local but I can also watch my spending. These place benefit from year round shopping so get your shears and garden items here. The staff is elderly and take good care of the plants all around the store, but they have to look up and refer back to things a lot so again do your research. The staff is so friendly and can help you but use a cart or come with the muscle. This location is often hard to get into with the entrance being right before a busy has station and business intersection. They have limited parking, but do have plenty of accessible parking for those in need. The restroom is just wide enough for a wheelchair too.
