[June 2025] I am a newish plant mom and every single one of my plants were on life support. So, I came to Rolling Ridge for help. And they delivered! They showed me all the right type of pots to purchase and the type of soil for my snake plants to drain properly and not get root rot again. I appreciate their patience with me and their expertise in helping me do what I need to do to keep my plants alive! read more

This is a BEAUTIFUL nursery. We spent like 20 minutes gawking at all of the selections. Every staff member we encountered was super friendly and we were impressed with their knowledge. Even though we walked out with empty hands, we'll happily come back soon and make some selections. Support Local!!! read more

What a wonderful shop to visit! All the employees are welcoming and helpful. I walked in with two potted plants that needed help, and when I left I knew better how to keep them alive in my care! Everything one needs to make a green thumb even more green is here! The greenhouse is a place that makes me think I can keep anything alive, so I will seek help from one of the sweet staff to determine if its right for me. I found so much selection from air plants to snake plants or succulents. There seems to be many choices for simple or high end plants, pots, or tools. Its a fun place to spend an afternoon with girlfriends while filling your yard with beautiful things! read more

I like Rolling Ridge nursery, can't believe after all these years I finally stopped in. There is street parking in the front and back as well as a small lot. We came in through the back door where you walk in past the small restaurant located inside that serves Balkan Treat Box. We walked down the stairs into the nursey and I was Woooowed by the variety of colorful planters that were reasonably priced and absolutely beautiful. If you know me, you know that I'm obsessed with Snake Plants/Mother In-Law Tongue/Sansevieria.....whatever you want to call them. They have an OK selection, not quite the variety I expected and extremely over-priced for the quality and sizes. I will say......... aside from that disappointment the variety and selection of everything else I would recommend. A really good variety of beautifully flourishing plants--check out the pics. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The nursery is actually quite large inside. They offer fertilizer, pest control options, planters/pots, indoor and outdoor plants and more. read more

Rolling Ridge has an excellent selection and everything I've ever bought from here is still thriving. It's nice to know that everything you see on that floor is in great shape and ready for a happy home. This place most reminds me of the tropical nurseries in New Orleans where I went to college. Rolling Ridge Nursery - This place is so magical - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Webster Groves, Missouri

The widest section of air plants I've ever seen. This place is a gardening center with an incredible greenhouse. I was able to find a rare variation of the Monstera plant for which I have searched. I was most impressed by the number of choices of mature plants they had available. Most nurseries only offer young plants, and it is difficult to predict how healthy they are, and how long they will last. This nursery had lots of well-established mature plants. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, friendly ,and helpful. They have a great selection of potting soil, insecticides, fertilizers, and all assortment of plant accoutrements. I was able to get the largest air plant I have ever seen right before it blooms at an incredible price! The. Monstero Albo I discovered is incredibly healthy and I can't wait to watch it grow. The price was considerably lower than I anticipated for an established Monstera. read more

One of my favorite nurseries in STL, MO! They have a fantastic selection of well-cared-for plants. I really enjoy wandering through and exploring the different varieties. The prices are fair, and the customer service is consistently friendly. The staff is very knowledgeable about plants, which enhances the overall experience! read more

I finally made it here and I'm so glad it wasn't spring because I would have spent a fortune! There were so many garden products that I haven't seen in other nurseries (not to mention the big-box stores) and the selection of plants, even this late in the season, was really incredible. The quality of the plants was obvious. The workers were friendly and informed. I only wish it was closer to home. read more

Finally made my way in after a million recommendations, and so glad I did. They have EVERYTHING you need for gardening, and a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants. Personally, I'm a houseplant girl, and I was extremely impressed with their options. I think I wandered around for 30 minutes just observing everything they had. It was SO hard to walk away without a few bigger plants, because they were all so beautiful! They also had some great starter plant options. I can't wait to head back further into the season and see the greenhouse full! read more

The more I go here and keep up with them online, the more I love this place and its easily become one of my favorite nurseries in the area. In my last review, I went on a weekday and the selection was a bit slimmer. I find going on the weekends is best because they seem to get shipments then and the greenhouse is lush and full of beautiful healthy plants. They also have really upped their pot game! I have found most of my "uncommon" plants here including my micans, exotica, variegated string of pearls, and silver string of hearts! They're all reasonably priced as well. So yeah, totally changed my mind about this spot. The employees are also super friendly and helpful. I bought a huge monstera today and one of the girls explained to me how to put it on a moss pole. I've also bought some Happy Frog soil from here. They really just have all the accessories you need. Highly recommend! read more

Rolling ridge is such a cute nursery in Webster Grove! They have such a wide variety of plants both indoor and outdoor. Some of the indoors plants they have are not so much rare plants but harder to find in the 6or 8 inch pots or that are more mature. The vegetable starter plants they have were so nice. I got some for my garden. They are probably some of the best quality plants I've seen so far and were comparably cheaper than those at other nurseries I've been searching at, even compared to commercial nurseries. They have the most beautiful Thai Constellation on display, not for sale, that has me daydreaming mine will grow into such a pink, cream, and green lushness. Gosh I love plants and Rolling Ridge is definitely a spot I will be returning to. You can also buy into a membership that will provide discounts for all future purchases! Happy Findings Y'all! read more

They ARE OPEN!!!! And they have all you need to get your spring and summer going! They have limited hours and days open 10 to 5, Thurs thru Sat. You must wear a mask! And they are limiting how many people are allowed in at one time but look at the beauties I got! read more

Prior Review Update: In all fairness, I feel it is necessary to update my prior negative post regarding Rolling Ridge Nursery... Lynn personally called me, which was greatly appreciated. She apologized and assured me that my experience was unfortunate and not at all up to their standards. She offered to have someone come to my house to complete the job, which I declined. She then offered a "refund" and I declined because 90% of the job had been completed. I never asked for or expected a refund. During our conversation she explained that yard services are a new area for this lovely nursery and the learning curve has been a bit difficult. Being a business owner, I totally appreciate that! This is a darling nursery! I'm sure they will get much better at writing bids and communicating with their customers. This isn't rocket science, we are talking weeds...we all got in the weeds on this project!!! read more

They had a large selection of house plants at fair prices! I got a beautiful ric rac cactus (had been on my wish list for a while) and it has grown so much since I bought it. They also had a great selection of fertilizer, pest control, pots, and other plant accessories. Attached is the photo of my new favorite plant read more

This place is awesome! I've ordered multiple times throughout this strange quarantine time, for delivery and pick up and it's always smooth, easy, quick, and affordable. First I needed houseplants and then i decided i needed a garden. Next up is landscaping! Denise is my go-to and she's the best at (patiently) helping me figure out what I need. In the age of corona, I found myself needing to create a home office. After my husband got the room set up, I still needed something bright and welcoming, life! I had read on Facebook that Rolling Ridge offered deliveries from their nursery, so I called them up. Denise and her staff texted me pictures based on my described needs. And I shopped "on-line" via texts. My own personal shoppers helped me curate a selection, potted the trees and plants, and delivered to my door!! I'm so grateful. What a treasure of a local business. Thank you Rolling Ridge! I can hole up now in peace and serenity! read more

Their staff is friendly and helpful. I was able to choose from a couple of varieties of a shrub that I was giving as a gift.

this nursery is great, especially at the end of the season when they put their items on sale to prep for winter. I have two thriving lime trees from this nursery, two years fruit-producing. I saw All-Spice trees today, which I would have bought would it have fit in my little VW. This place makes me want to drive a pickup. read more

I would give 100 stars if I could! Customer service blew me away! I live in Oregon and wanted to have some hanging baskets delivered to my Mom for her birthday. Social distancing is making it very hard to find a way to get gifts sent to her, and I am unable to fly right now. I always give her hanging baskets for her birthday as a tradition, since it is in April. Thankfully, Rolling Ridge is still open for pickup and delivery! I called Rolling Ridge and Rhonda was wonderful, sending pictures of several different baskets for me to choose from. James delivered the baskets to my parents and sent me a nice message to let me know they were delivered. This is a wonderful family-run company that values its customers and good service. Highly recommend! read more

I've driven past this place countless times and have never stopped in but I needed to buy a new pot for a plant I'd received as a gift. Plus, a potted african violet was small plant in a HUGE pot in my office and I was tired of how ridiculous it looked. I decided to stop by here since the pot selection at Home Depot isn't great and the Botanical Gardens was too hard for me to get to. I'm so glad I tried them! They had a great little selection of pots and I was able to find a pretty blue one for $5. Then I was able to speak to someone in the greenhouse about my poor little african violet and she showed me some great self watering pots that are the perfect size. Delving into their Facebook page I can see that they do classes so I am now considering taking one of those. It's just a very awesome store with very helpful people. read more

This place is WAY bigger than it looks from the outside. The selection is great. And they specialize in more of the ornamental plants that the home improvement stores don't carry. Many of the plants/trees had signs on them highlighting their 5 year warranty. Everyone seems friendly, and happy here. They also have a very wide selection of garden tools. Although I'll probably be replacing where I usually get my plants with this place, I will say that they aren't a bargain. It's not that they are over priced here, but don't walk in expecting really good deals. read more

I have 4 giant ferns that desperately needed repotting. They were too huge and heavy for me to carry. Not knowing what to do, I called Rolling Ridge. I couldn't believe it when they said they'd make a house call to repot them. They brought potting soil and for a very modest sum repotted them for me at my home. It was so much easier for me and so much better for the plants. Above and beyond service for a very reasonable price! read more

Rolling Ridge Nursery is a gardener's heaven near the old part of downtown Webster Groves. I stopped there looking for a lilac bush and a lemon tree for my backyard in Saint Louis. I ended up with a nice tree, citrus fertilizer, and a Korean Dwarf Lilac bush. The staff was helpful and the space is beautiful. I'm sure I will visit again. read more

I got the Groupon for Rolling Ridge, and was mucho impressed. Such a pretty little nursery to browse, with so many levels, in an old brick building in Webster Groves. I guess I expected the prices to be higher, since it isn't your run of the mill big-box store, but, I don't think they were. That made me happy, because I'd much rather support a local place like this than Lowe's or Home Depot. I'm not a big purchaser of garden novelty items (i.e. elaborate pots for patios, etc.), but they had a good selection and there were some really pretty items. read more

I grew up in Webster and knew that my Mom liked to get her "plantings" at Rolling Ridge. Now, I live across the state in Independence, MO and she has moved back to Webster to a Retirement Village. She still loves their plants, trees, etc., but being 92 yrs. old, she does not get out that often. However, the wonderful staff at Rolling Ridge has taken care of that :) They are a marvelous, dedicated group of people that truly care. Two years ago, my siblings and I wanted to get my Mom a special tree for her 90th birthday. She picked out a Japanese Maple - something she had always wanted. Somehow, it didn't fit the space well. She called the Nursery and they resolved the problem easily. This year, I called and described a type of geranium I had gotten for Mom last year when visiting. This time, it was a nice young woman who took pictures with her phone so I could identify the one my Mom liked so well. They promptly delivered 2 beautiful, healthy plants to my Mom, and she is delighted. She mentions them almost every time I talk to her. You cannot compare getting your trees and plants from a "box store" and getting them from this Nursery. Everyone is so helpful and Nice. They know what they are talking about. The stock has guarantees and always healthy. Enjoy your visit here ! read more

This place is AMAZING! They have a gigantic amount of plants and all are so beautiful. The staff is very knowledgable AND helpful - they'll help you load your cart, car, write up your ticket, tell you what to do with the plants, you name it. I called to ask about what plants would be good for a total beginner, and the woman who answered was helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and so, so kind. They offer free delivery, and it feels nice to support a local business during these strange times. I seriously recommend this nursery. They are AMAZING! read more

This place makes me absolutely giddy. All bushes and trees come with a guarantee as well as detailed instructions for planting. And for a larger specimen ( and a reasonable fee) Rolling Ridge will deliver and plant it for you. And I don't mean just slap it on the ground. They make sure they mix your soil with the appropriate amount of cotton, make recommendations for the appropriate sight, etc. All plants (including annuals, perennials and indoor plants) are healthy and well cared for. The container soil is free of any trace of foreign weeds that could infest your garden. The icing on the cake are the knowledgeable and always friendly staff. A great place to start if you are looking for new landscaping ideas or just picking up some seasonal annuals. True shopping therapy. read more

LOVE this nursery. They have great plants & products and are close to my house - a bonus. If you buy a lot of plants, join their preferred club (costs $25 I think) and save 2 days a week. If you buy a lot, you'll get it back in rewards. I have bought lots of flowers here and they always last a LONG time and look beautiful. Have also bought bigger flowering bushes, which I planted myself and were very hearty and did great. The people who work here really know what they are doing and can give you advice on anything you need or ideas! read more

So many helpful and knowledgeable people. It was our first time visiting today and had a great experience browsing the nursery's wide variety of plants.
