He's like my child, and I am cautious with who takes him out of my home and walks him. Before I decide, I "do my homework," consider all of the options and select the best one. In this case, The Peaks Pet Nanny was hands down the company that met all of my criteria. Additionally, they were highly recommended to me by a friend of mine and one of their long-term customers. On my first phone call to The Peaks Pet Nanny, I spoke with Gina, who owns the business with her husband, Patric. During our conversation, she answered all of my questions. I found her to be bright, articulate, knowledgeable, and professional. In less than half an hour, I had a schedule worked out. She transmitted me all the necessary paperwork and advised me she would call me with the information on the dog walker they were arranging for me. Shortly after that, Gina called me and told me about who would be walking my dog. Within a minute of her scheduled time of arrival, the walker, a wonderful young woman named Olivia, appeared at my front door. Olivia is an experienced dog walker who is kind, compassionate, and the most punctual individual I've ever met. In the month that I've used the service, Olivia has never been more than three or four minutes late. When my dog sees her, he goes crazy. It's the happiest time of his day. He leaves with his tail wagging and returns smiling, panting, and tired. Exactly what we were looking for. Recently Olivia took a much-needed vacation for a few days. I made a phone call to Patric. Within half an hour, he provided me with a substitute walker, Debbie, another experienced dog walker who lives within walking distance of my home and who, like Olivia, is kind, compassionate, and professional. On Debbie's first day, Patric called me to confirm that everything worked out, and I was satisfied with the temporary arrangements, which of course, I was. Once again, I highly recommend using The Peaks Nanny for dog walking and for any of the variety of services they offer pet owners. It was short notice but Mitchell and two other co-workers were so welcoming and helpful to provide me all the information I needed to take care of our six-month puppy. He was very thorough and even took us on tour of the facility. Our puppy wound up staying overnight due to our circumstances. We provided her food and they provided the feeding bowls and bedding. They also offer training & grooming services. FACILITY: clean, spacious and organized. For a doggy daycare (and boarding), they did not have a dirty kennel odor. The building itself is two floors with the main floor dedicated to the daycare and boarding. The back of the building contained sizable yard that was sectioned off for smaller breeds and larger breeds. They also have an indoor area with ample room for many dogs during inclement weather. They also have a Facebook page that they upload frequent photos of your pet so you can check on him/her during the course of their stay. STAFF: Mitchell, Jeremy, and especially Becky was absolutely wonderful, caring, and thorough caretakers. They were all willing to answer as many questions as you had and made sure our puppy was well cared for. Becky even provided constructive advice for our growing puppy which was much appreciated. All of the staff were well engaged with taking care of the dogs which was wonderful. They work very hard in keeping our family members well taken care of. FEES: you can check out their website for updated fees but @ the time, our puppy stayed overnight (24hrs) for $50 on a Saturday night (we provided food). Daycare is $35 (4+hrs). OVERALL IMPRESSION: First Choice for our family pet! Nice clean facility. Reasonable rates. Wonderful staff. I am not the type of person to really worry, but it was great that a few hours later, i got a message from Gabbie saying my dog had settled in nicely. She sent me a picture of him, and when i checked the next day, she had dozens of pictures of the activities all the dogs did for the day.
