Emmy is very high maintenance but Amanda will do everything and more with no complaints. And for a very fair price. Emmy loves going to Amanda's because she knows she will be cared for and attended to. Amanda knows each dog by name and personality, and she is always patient, attentive, and professional. She will send photo updates throughout the day so I can see our little Emmy having fun with the other dogs. Amanda's space is clean, safe, and spacious for all dog sizes. Emmy always comes home tired but happy which is great for her and us. I can't recommend enough.

Whether your pup has a special diet, medical needs, or just thrives on routine, we create a home away from home that feels familiar and safe. Each dog enjoys their own cozy sleeping spot, whether that’s a comfy kennel or a warm bed next to a trusted friend. Peaceful beach sounds play in the background throughout the day and night, helping drown out outside noise and create a calming, low-stress environment. We also specialize in caring for senior dogs and understand the unique needs that come with aging. From quieter spaces and slower-paced walks to gentle handling and extra patience, we make sure your older pup feels secure, comfortable, and respected at every stage of life. This isn’t a loud, high-volume boarding facility - it’s a peaceful, structured space where dogs can rest, play, and be themselves. We focus on connection, comfort, and quality not quantity. Tail wags upon pickup are the norm around here, because your dog can’t wait to come back!

It is air conditioned with beds, but they are not in the actual house and are not being supervised at all times. My golden retriever was scared to go back here and tried to bust back out of the door. They were not even…read moreaware of the incident until after my girlfriend picked him up too which would mean there is a lack of supervision or they just simply chose not to inform me during his stay. If I had picked him up myself, I would have examined him before leaving Pamela's place. However, my girlfriend, who does not own any pets, was doing me a favor and picked him up and didn't think to check him before leaving. Once I found out what had happened, I promptly addressed the situation with Pamela. To which Pamela offered to dress the wound and provide a refund, these things I would have been perfectly fine with. However, as you can see from our text message exchanges, it's clear that bringing my dog back to her care is was not a viable option. Accusing me of harming my own dog is an outrageous claim that no one in their right mind would tolerate, and it made me feel extremely uncomfortable entrusting my dog to her again. She made it seem like I don't care for my dog to the point I would intentionally worsen his wound. If I didn't genuinely care for my dog's well-being I wouldn't have chosen what I believed to be a highly-rated dog daycare (based off other Google reviews). And while I understand that accidents can happen, especially among dogs, what truly disappoints me is the lack of accountability and the absence of any apology from Pamela or even the owner of the dog that attacked mine. It is also baffling that I had to even raise this issue with her, considering that supervising the dogs should have been her responsibility. It's literally what she's hired to do. Additionally, Pamela's attitude throughout this ordeal has been quite unpleasant. She kept throwing a personal situation I was going through that even required me to rely on her services for an emergency in my face which was quite unpleasant. Especially when she didn't even know fully what was going on and that it was a baseless claim. Additionally, the owner did provide $100 towards the vet bill, but there is still an outstanding balance. As the wound required dressing and my dog had to be given medication to prevent infection. These additional expenses were not covered by the amount offered, further adding to my frustration but at this point its no use in pursuing further and I had wanted to give her time to rectify the situation before resorting to a negative review. But unfortunately, she has chosen to ignore all my messages, leaving me with no choice but to warn others who may find themselves in a similar situation and need an emergency dog sitter. It's important to know that not everything is as it seems, and there may be a lack of proper procedures in place at Pamela Loves Pets.

Our pup daycare/boarding facility abruptly shut down a few days before the Thanksgiving holidays…read more We had 2 trips planned in the next week! I had no idea what to do on such short notice. I contacted Dog days & Cat naps. I was surprised when the owner JP answered the phone. After a long conversation , all he had available on short notice was a 30 min drop in session with Lora. I couldn't be happier with her services. She was on time and followed what we talked about to the exact point. Because we had back to back trips I had to schedule a 3 hr in house pup- sitter. This time we had Kourtney she was always on time. She played, walked and gave Solo hugs and cuddles for their time together. Both Lora and Kourtney were great with Solo. I wouldn't hesitate to use either one for future sitting or walking. After each visit we received a report along with pics. I have glad to have found this company!!! Thanks JP and your staff!! Weekend Boarding and PM Staff at Happy Hound Dog Resorts (HHDR) at Beach Boulevard is HORRIBLE and NOT recommended for SPECIAL NEEDS DOGS! CAUTION: Personnel is inexperienced with no compassion, patience, knowledge or education to care for special needs dogs despite website advertisement. HHDR is NOT suited for dogs with special needs such as separation anxiety. WARNING: Worker's performance resembles unsuccessful daycare employees who decided to change career paths. Entry level employees with little to no experience caring for animals would not accept responsibility for their neglect, inadequate training and inability to care for multiple dogs. The customer, your special needs pet or other dogs in their care are blamed for any and all incidents. CAUTION: Read waiver thoroughly before signing and leaving your vulnerable furry family member! WHY? As stated, Happy Hounds Dog Resorts (HHDS) accepts ANY dog that is not sick with requested vaccinations. HHDS is NOT responsible for any injury to your dog even when management, employees, volunteers or contractors are liable. WARNING: AGGRESSIVE dogs are placed with anxiety and non-aggressive dogs by SIZE! Due to staff lack of experience and knowledge, King was harassed repeatedly by aggressive dogs (watched one incident on camera). A worker (white pregnant female) placed King "in time out" because he defended himself after an antagonistic dog repeatedly kept trying to "hump him" according to her statement on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Common sense care is limited to verbal conversations. Oncoming staff as next shift will NOT read chart/paperwork/computerized records to determine special needs. Instead, rough play as pack initiation "all day" is permitted. Apparently, their responsibility is limited to feeding and cleaning the area while observing activities. Weekend tech was adamant, defensive, oblivious regarding her error and unwilling to accept responsibility for her actions and decisions. During our conversation, reciting her statements back to her several times was required until she understood care was negligent. Conversations similar to parent speaking to a pre-k daycare assistant who proudly abused discretion without justification. The entire conversation was strange and horrifying with no idea what would occur until I arrived almost 48 hours later. On Saturday, October 26, 2024, King was placed in a "10x10 room to play with toys alone with a bowl of water." I specifically asked, "was King injured?" Her response was "no." We agreed (and requested) that King remain separated from other dogs until pick-up for his safety and "prevent injury". Upon arrival on Monday, October 28, 2024, King was in front area (entrance) with larger dogs that were "his size". Perhaps, this was the only way to protect him from the "back-end" employees and dogs. At home, more horror was discovered. After bathing and grooming, his body and mouth were checked. King's lip and two teeth were bloody and swollen. His right eye is constantly secreting yellow mucus. His mouth was sore to touch on right side. He couldn't eat. His appearance and countenance resembled a child that was mentally broken, neglected, beaten or punched or kicked and abused. He looks fragile from weight lost or dehydration. NOTE: 12 cans of dog food were provided, Beach boulevard facility was contacted immediately. Daytime employee suggested King hurt himself by purportedly "chewing on kennel and bruised his nose and lip" as a common reaction to anxiety. However, she "don't know what happened on the back-end" and she was "not present yesterday [Sunday]. Furthermore, his nose is fine. Separation anxiety usually accompanies an inability to socialize amongst aggressive dogs. King's limitations were previously disclosed in WRITING and verbally communicated to the manager and two AM workers on Friday (October 25, 2024). Management not present weekends. Inexperienced staffers run the entire operation with little to no compassion, training and resources to accommodate animals with special needs. Addressing concerns via telephone and website email caused King to be subjected to abuse and neglect. Yes, he was "happy" on Friday when left with management. When I returned on Monday, October 28th, King had a swollen lip with two bloody teeth, right eye secreting mucus from injuries and a broken spirit. He won't respond as himself, he's distant and constantly pulls away when attempting to touch him ... Similar to a child subjected to abuse and returned to the parent as alleged abuser(s) blame the child and parent.
