Kanine Social is a Godsend for dog lovers and has become a true partner for us in the care of our Irish Setters Magnus and Murphy. I guess they like Magnus and Murphy too, as they are Kanine Social's picture on Yelp. For the past year and a half we have been using Kanine Social for daycare when needed and boarding. Everyone there loves dogs and is trained to handle them well. All the dogs that are allowed in daycare are also temperament tested for play. It is also a bonus that there is a vet there just in case. Kanine Social features fantastic outdoor and indoor amenities for the dogs to enjoy all day. You get sent a "Report card" during the day and it's always great to see your pet having such a great time. When we pull up to Kanine Social, my boy Magnus just bellows in excitement and Murphy can't wait to go inside. That's a great feeling. The boarding features a room where they can stay together along with playtime, and that's also very important to us. There are often events for certain breeds and themed parties that look to be a blast. We're still looking out for a Setter night to happen. It is my pleasure to give Kanine Social the highest grade possible. My dog has been going to Kanine Social for a couple of years now and absolutely loves it! The staff is super friendly and is fantastic with dogs. I really appreciate how they send photos while he is there, both for day care and for boarding. They have a lot of dog friendly events too. Rates are pretty reasonable also. There is a bar and other items for purchase but I've only used this maybe once or twice. If you need a place to take your dog, whether for a few hours or a couple of days, this is by far the best place to go! My dog always comes home happy and worn out! read more

I attended the monthly yoga class, and this was also my first visit to Kanine Social. The yoga class was very reasonably priced- it was a one hour class for $10 and included a drink with the price. I am not a yoga expert, but I do take classes occasionally and felt that the instructor catered to all skill levels. She started off with basics and made sure that beginner yogis could follow along. At the same time, she offered suggestions for how to advance certain movements for those that were up for the challenge. I didn't feel like drinking after the class, so I grabbed a non-alcoholic option. I do appreciate that this brewery had a non-alcoholic beer, for some places only offer water or soda. I didn't bring my pup this time because she is very timid and I was afraid she would be overwhelmed at the environment. After seeing that there are two outdoor areas and two indoor areas, I will bring her next time. There is plenty of space for doggos to run around and have fun, and it is perfect for both playful and shy dogs. I'm happy I gave this place a try and can't wait to return! read more

I walked in and the lady stared me straight in my face and said absolutely nothing, no "hi welcome to Kanine social" no welcome in or nothing there was only one other person in the lobby so there was no reason to not greet. I approached her anyway and said hello and told her that this was my first time here and asked if I need to check in or what I needed to do. She wanted to see my puppies shot records in which I showed her she asked if he was neutered and I told her no he's only seven months And which she told me because he's over six months he has to be neutered or he can't go in so I said OK and I walked out. Maybe it was assigned considering my first impression of the place was very unwelcoming. I'll just stick with brewhound. read more

This was my first visit to a indoor doggy park/ bar! And it was sooo cool! It's nice and open, a lot of space the bar area was very chill and you can just sit enjoy a beer or seltzer/ cider drinks. Then thru a glass door it led to a indoor and outdoor play for dogs to run around! That area was 18 and up and I couldn't go in because I had my little one with me, I think the dogs can run around with out leash on that's why no kids allowed. We played bingo, Petted cute doggies, drank some yummy drinks, ate delicious food ( they often have food trucks parked out front) I mean yes and yes!! Since I don't have a pet right now, this was very fun to visit! read more

I was planning to have a party to celebrate my boy Waylon's 11th Birthday, and I knew that I wanted it to be somewhere that he could run around and have some fun, as well as his human friends. I was happily surprised to see that Kanine Social had expanded in the years that it has been open, and was the perfect place to have this gathering!   I made an inquiry and was contacted quickly by Dustin, who stayed in touch with me often and helped to set up all the details for the night of the party. I was told all about what is available there, and the food truck that would be there that night. They have a food truck many nights and also bingo sometimes too! There really is fun for the people as well as the doggo's.   When we walked in, I was happy to see the table decorations that had been set up for us and to reserve the area that we would all sit. We paid for Waylon's day pass and away we went! He loved the indoor play area, just running around happily. I will say that none of the play spaces are sectioned off by size. With him being 19lbs, there were a lot of dogs bigger than him, and running up to him. I think that shocked me a little. We didn't actually go outside for this reason. There is a huge area for all the dogs to play, and it looked like it was nice, but I saw the packs of dogs and the smaller ones a little nervous at the fence, and I just wasn't sure. There is a smaller outside area that we let him check out, but he seemed ok with staying inside. I really do try to go with whatever will make him the most comfortable.   I really loved the open feel of the tap room, they opened the large garage door and Twisting roots food truck was set up just outside. We were able to mingle with all of Waylon's guests and enjoy the night.   On site they offer boarding and also have a vet office right there in the building! You can bring your special four legged friends for day camp, an overnight stay and have them treated at the vet as well! The staff are all really friendly and helpful, the whole place is clean and bright and inviting. Bring your doggy to play today!! read more

This event featured three different music stages, including a silent disco room, vendors and more! The drinks were incredible. Kanine Social is clean and you can sit indoors or outdoors. Our German shepherd rescue Kobu was 6 months old when we got him, he is 3 now! He was nervous around people but loves other dogs!! Ok so I have to admit I did not bring my dog here. However, my friends and I were hitting up spots to grab a beer in Riverside and we stopped by. It was a great time. As you would expect there was plenty of room to roam around in. The craft beer I grabbed was delicious, and as you would expect in any cool bar there were some board games to play. So we ended up playing games over a few rounds, and took a selfie with a giant sticker of Screech from Saved By the Bell on the wall. There were plenty of patrons with dogs that were having a good time and they had an indoor play area too. Overall it was a great place to stop. read more

Sometimes even our fur babies need playtime & daycare! So glad they are still currently operating. They have an indoor & outdoor area, my dog loves it & he's able to release all his energy playing with all his fur mates! We wanted to go somewhere with our new pup but I think the sounds of the people sitting at the bar and being loud overstimulated her and she didn't want to stay so we ended up having to leave and go somewhere else :( I didn't even felt welcomed there and when someone behind the bar saw me, they didn't even acknowledged us. I was looking for a place where I can take my dog to and let her roam around while we sit and have a few cold ones but I didn't know where to go or what to do other than to get my dog out of there because she wasn't having it. I didn't even know I had to sign up before coming here. I wish the staff at the bar was more friendlier and helpful. My husband and I were in town for business and wanted to find a dog park. However, we found much more at K9 Social. What I really appreciated was the supervised play that you don't get at a regular dog park. Before you come, it's a good idea to go online and set up a profile. You can upload a screenshot of your fur baby's vaccinations to your profile. It's very easy but takes maybe 5 minutes to complete. Our weekend day pass was $15 and you can stay until they close if you want. You can even leave and come back later the same day and you will not be charged. A day pass + 2 drinks was about $33.00. There is a pretty big indoor dog run where you can sit back, have a drink and let your doggy socialize. It's also where you can socialize with other humans. :) I am not a beer fan AT ALL!! But they have lots of other options for people like me. :) The canine trainer was awesome. He was able to calm down an overly excited puppy who wanted to play with Hendrix. The trainer was constantly aware of each dogs demeanor. How he was able to maintain supervision of 10+ dogs is beyond me. But he did, and did a wonderful job!! The trainer educated us on canine CPR and how to recognize heat stroke in dogs. He also showed us what to do if we suspect heat stroke or choking. We had a blast and learned a few helpful tips. When we come back to Jacksonville, we are definitely bringing Hendrix. I wish there were more K9 Social's! read more

I have been watching Kanine Social come to life while at the Riverside dog park, and couldn't wait to finally get a chance to take my dog, Max, and have fun. Upon entrance, if you are not prepared, you are given the paperwork. Yes...it seems daunting, but is necessary for the dogs to play together. Have proof of shots and 10.00 entrance fee, not including your drinks. The Kanine Social is exactly what a dog/beer lover wants on any hot, rainy, or cold day....beer and a comfy a/c controlled dog park. You enter through the tap room, order your beer, pay your entrance fee, and have fun. The giant indoor area not only has plenty of room for running and playing, it houses several dog baths if you feel that Fido needs a bath (extra charge). They also have balls to purchase, outdoor chairs (free) for the humans, a grassy area for potty breaks, and a fabulous astroturf area with a couple picnic tables and an irrigation system to help keep turf clean when puddles happen. The astroturf area also has a big garage door that will open in better weather....yay! There is also a few TV's hanging up for the games.... The tap room in itself is big, plenty of seating, and has several beers, wine, and kombucha to offer....there is even a special brewed beer just for the Kanine Social...Watermelon Wheat. (I did not try...not a fruity beer girl) The staff is friendly, eager to help, and keeps an eye on the dog activities, checking in with all to make sure everyone is happy and good; knowing many dogs and owners by name. Max and I went to celebrate a dog birthday....what a great afternoon they had. These dogs ran, played, chased, talked to each other, and then had ice cream. The ice cream looked so good, I wanted to try it myself. I am super excited to have the Kanine Social open and looking forward to many more fun play dates with social dogs! read more

Amazing setup for the doggos! I didn't bring my 14 year old black lab. It was a little too exciting for her,but I certainly did enjoy all the other 4 legged friends I made. We were there for the local bands. Jacksonville has Amazing local musicians and we try to see them live as much as possible. We were at Kanine Social for Woofstock and they did an awesome job hosting this event. The setup for the bands was right on. Two stages. Sound for an outdoor event was perfect. Unbelievable beers on tap. Food was OK. Not a lot of food trucks on hand. More trucks may have come for the bigger crowds later on in the evening. Kanine did an amazing job organizing about 20 bands and hundreds of dogs inside and outside. The place was spotless. The only dirty areas I saw were tables where humans were eating. Great time. Great event! If you have a dog that can handle all the excitement, bring them to Kanine Social for sure. read more

So happy I stumbled across this place! I've taken Coco everyday since she became a member and she is in her perfect world playing with all the other doggos in a spacious air conditioned dog park. It's very clean and smells fresh. There is a large outdoor area for potty breaks too. The owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. The coffee bar is great as well (try the nitro cold brew if you're needing something strong!) I'm so grateful my pup can run around and enjoy herself without me worrying about her getting overheated during this merciless summer weather. My dog and I love Kanine Social!!! My dog gets so excited to get out of the car as soon as we pull up! The owners are so friendly and welcoming and offer us a drink as soon as we get up to the counter. A couple things that I love about kanine social is the beer/wine selection, they definitely have more variety and a better selection than brewhound does. Another thing is love is that it is indoor and outdoor, this works well for my pup as she is a French bulldog and can get overheated easily in the Florida heat. They also have a drainage system so it doesn't get smelly outside. They also do events all the time which is really fun;for example, dog yoga, beerfests, dog portraits, and dog bowling. I am so happy we have a place like this in the Jacksonville area it makes owning a dogs even better!!
