They are extremely helpful and flexible when I need to make changes last minute due to my job and always very polite, friendly and helpful. Able to look after my animals well when on holiday and follow all my feeding instructions to the letter. They have even been able to help with some training advice for my dog and helped with her loose lead training. I am more than happy with the service they provide and would absolutely recommend to others. I used her as a pet ambilance after my dogs had been fighting and i needed help getting my dog diesel back home from the vets as he was stuggling to walk and bless her she helpped me into the house with him and made him comfortable and she was such a comfort to me as i was a bit ov a mess emotionaly. She also helped us when we had to make the hardest dicision we have ever made to have our other dog charlie put to sleep she was amazing she was up till late at night contacting the vet then she collected my partner the next morning to tranport him to the vets and helped him through such an emotional time she also came back with my partner and helped me with taking diesel out for a wee when i couldnt move him and cleaned him up for me. I cant thank her enough for everything she did for us not only with the care of my dogs but also for the comfort she gives you she is such a kind loving person. I had previously refused to accept their offer of a refund on an "ex-gratia" basis as a "gesture of goodwill". Beechwood Vet's insurer with regards to the financial consequences of proven professional negligence confirmed Beechwood Vet's liability. The Clinical Director at Beechwood Vetswho lists "BVSc GP Cert (SAM)(SAS)(Cardio) PgC SAC MRCVS" after her name chose to offer various excuses to me as to why Beechwood Vets did not provide the service that they took payment for. Three of my favourites include: we was "busy"; your pet was "overlooked" ....and my very favourite.... "unfortunately we're all human". BUYER BEWARE of the implications of accepting refunds offered on an ex-gratia basis or gestures of goodwill.... and beware of people who list letters after their name and assume those who do not list letters after their name lack common sense. Our two have been seen by Suzy, Sarah and Mark across various visits, who all provide excellent care and instill confidence in both the practice and the care regimes recommended. There is no rush to get you 'in and out' like other practices we have used and the friendly reception staff make dealing with insurance claims extremely easy - especially with their direct claim process. Jasper was unfortunate enough to need a referral to a neurologist earlier in the year and within days of finding out the news we had an appointment with a specialist veterinary neurologist from the same practice group. All whilst being reassured by Mark that we were in the best hands. I wouldn't trust anywhere else with our fur children!

Life savers!…read more my cat was in an accident a few months back and lots his leg.. the pdsa in Sheffield practical ripped him apart and handed him to a child to stick him back together. he was sent some without pain killers or antibiotics and nearly died! carrick saved him! the staff are brilliant and couldnt have helped more if they tried. they did everything possible and patched up my kittycat perfect and now he's his bouncy old self even with a leg missing. thanks carrick your great!

Charged for a consultation on Monday as Lily in pain and not eating nor drinking - diagnosis a cut gum/infected tooth. Operation booked for today, no pain meds given just told give her soft food and plenty of water - not easy when dogs jaw in so much pain. Turned up today today to be told not booked in it's for 8th August.... no it isn't it's today as per the highlighted appointment on the pre- op instructions we were give and that's why no painkillers were given Monday. Charged my parents for another consultation today to give pain meds = £80 spent This is not good enough on any level, totally unprofessional to treat a dog that way and totally unacceptable to treat the owners with such disrespect and disregard. I will never take my dog there again after using the same vets for over 17 years, such a pity Neil ( former owner) would be horrified.

We have used Magna Mews for the past few years since our cats were kittens. They are a very…read morefriendly family run business. They have always gone out of the way to accomodate our needs for our cats, as one of them has special health needs. Also, if we have not been able to get back in time to pick our cats up, they have kept them for us after we have phoned them. They have fully heated sheds that house the cats. They have looked after our cats very well, playing with them, grooming them, and giving them treat food like Tuna. In the summer they also have some pens that are outside, so the cats are not as cooped up. Their rates are very reasonable, and they provide whatever cat food you ask them to. They have 2 drop off/pick up times for people to use, but have even offered us a little flexibility with this when we have had problems catching our cat to take him. We use them at several times of the year, but our only finding is that you have to be very organised when booking in at certain times of the year (Easter, Christmas, summer holidays) as they get very busy. I always try to book more than a month in advance.

I'm always greeted with a friendly and helpful attitude from all of the staff and always feel the correct standard of care has been maintained while I've left my dog with them. I can't count the times Home from Home have managed to fit my dog in at short notice during busy periods and given him a place to stay when I really needed it. Murphy always comes home in a positive mood after his day at the kennels and is nice and tired out from his daily exercise. Keep up the good work, I intend to keep using this service as long as I need it!
