The price for my large dog is excellent at £20 compared to some others and he comes out smelling lovely! They are always really helpful and seem to genuinely love animals which is very nice to see as many pet stores seem to care very little about the animals. The actual pet store has somewhat limited stock but they do sell small pets like rabbits and rats and mice which always look well cared for. The stock for dogs is limited but they sell the usual treats.

When I asked the staff why they told me because they are too young and that they had to me moved from the mother due to her being aggressive with them and being a keen rat breeder myself this seem very reasonable. Sure the shop has limited stock but when they don't have what I'm looking for the staff always tell me where I can get it from. I take my German Shepard to the Grooming Service too. The prices are fantastic and she is always well done I have no complaints with this shop and will continue using it. As far as you all with the bad reviews go, you are entitled to your opinion but some of what you have said is absolute garbage...

The staff seemed unwilling, or uninterested in helping, and everything was very sales orientated. We were only looking at the degu's and 2 memebers of staff independently tried to sell us a cae and animal package with no care of the fact we said we lived 200 miles away! More worrying was seeing the two 10 yr olds walk in and buy a hamster on their own, with no adults around, and from what we heard no questions being asked. I can only worry about what hapened to that poor animal. The fish section was awful and there were dead fish in almost every tank. Despite the toys being a lot cheaper at this tore than some of the others we left empty handed as we couldnt bring ourselves to put any money into a store this bad.

The 'pets' at Pets at home come from rodent farms, similar to puppy mills, where animals are simply bred for profit, regardless of whether they end up in a tiny cage for their lives or as food for reptiles.

They have some very cute small pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs which always tempt me. I'm a sucker for a cute face! The store is quite big and you can take your dogs inside if you are brave enough. They also run pet portrait sessions quite often. I believe this is one of Hulls largest pets stores ( at least the largest I've come across in Hull…read more). It's situated at the top end of Clough road just off the round about. As with all pets at home stores it has everything you would need for your pet. My husband and I tend to vist the Pets at home on a regular basis ( as we have two cat) and have always found the staff to always be very polite and extremely helpful I would certainly recommend anyone with a pet and needs general advice ( obvisouly more serioius issues should be consulted for by a vet) to go there
