They took money in advance and still owe me for walks not done as I cancelled them due to the problems I have experienced with them. Over the Easter break i asked Alison and Sarah to look after my dog whilst i went away for a…read moreholiday with my family. As i didn't want to put my dog Sammy who is very shy and nervous into kennels. I had a meet and greet at my home with Ali and Sarah who i found to be very friendly and caring and understood both mine and Sammy's needs. When Sammy was with them she was out most of the day enjoying herself. They sent me a comfort text while i was away to reasure me Sammy was ok. I am very grateful to Ali and Sarah for all the care and attention Sammy receieved whilst i was away. She was very happy with them and after they dropped her off she was still looking for them out of the window waiting for them comming back. I would highly recommend both Ali and Sarah to any pet owners. I've booked again for summer this year. This time i will not worry about leaving Sammy behind.

He came home from the salon extremely…read moregreasy with lots of product clogged in his hair, I couldn't get a comb through it as his fur was clumped together with white residue, he also came back with a very untidy groom of his underbelly. After messaging the groomer expressing my dissatisfaction, she admitted that there must be something wrong with the product she used. She offered to bathe him again, however, I didn't want to put him through it and I don't have time to take him back as I am a secondary school teacher. I asked for a refund as I have now had to re-bathe him myself and book him in for another groom by a mobile specialised cat groomer and she has blocked me! Extremely unprofessional and very disappointing, would not recommend! Such a waste of £45.

I should never have worried as they treat their guests as people.they treat them,talk to them and due to my woofy woo being in her senior years and slightly incontinent they even washed her. All the comforts of a real hotel with under floor heating and fans in the summer to cool them.they have an inside section and an outdoor section.my beautiful girl absolutly love the guys at these kennels and even in her aging years they go out of their way and collect her and drop her off as she cant walk the few miles there anymore.if you want a worry free holiday then this is the place.she has a great time.would definatley recommend.

Evie settled in right from her first introduction visit to the time I picked her up. We had regular pup dates and photos which showed her having a great time on walks, meeting new friends and cuddled up on the sofa with Liam, Laras partner. I can say with all honesty, our holiday was extra special seeing that our baby was doing great! The Evie i brought home, was not the usual clingy little soul I bring home from the Kennels. Evie was relaxed and no sign of a croaky bark which usually indicates she's had a Kennel stay. Our usual Kennels are fine, no complaints from us but for Evie, I think they are loud & a little stressful. I would use them as a second choice now. Lara is most definitely Evies stand in Mummy & I would not hesitate in using her again! A big thank you to Lara & not forgetting Liam for a great service xxx

We had to make a last minute booking for our new puppy. We live in Suffolk, my fiancee's parents…read moreare in Louth and my parents are in Hull. We are heading to a family wedding in Hull next week and wanted a kennel for one night but all the local kennels were full. We decided we could go via my fiancee's parents and book our puppy in Barfield for 3 nights. Long story short my beloved parents family dog Tess had to be put down. My mum and dad said we should bring our puppy and she could have the kennel space that Tess would have had and it would only be for 1 night. I called barfields straight away to cancel our booking. Honesty is not always the best policy it would seem as we could have lied about why we cancelled but chose to tell the truth. Barfield were totally unsympathetic and threatened to charge us anyway and banned us from bringing our puppy again. My fiancee had to take the phone from me as I was so upset over the loss of my dog and to then be spoken to in such a way was astounding. She said to her "why are you further upsetting my fiance, his dog has just died" and the Barfield lady's response was "he has upset me. You want to take your dog to another kennel." We are discusted at how they dealt with us and they caused unnessecary further upset. We would have used them in future when visiting Louth but not now. If you value customer service, never book here. Upset, shocked and disgusted at our treatment.
