Bargain Center is a magical maze of goodies and every surface and wall area is covered. Without a doubt there is something for EVERYONE and there were a lot of things for me lol. Tormented by the reality that my suitcase only had so much extra room in it for oddities, well-read paperbacks, and miniature paintings of Frida Kahlo, I had to go the less is more route. I went with the Frida Kahlo wall tile and it looks perfect, perched on my little shelf in my room. The staff woman was friendly and gently let us know that we couldn't bargain down our hand painted items, which we respected. I would love love love to go back for more. This time I'll come prepared with a little extra room in my luggage.

This store sells fake jewelry as being real gold. BEWARE!…read more I bought $580.00 worth of "precious jewelry" today including a gold sapphire braclet and 2 gold rings. One ring was fake (metal is brass instead of 14k) even though it was marked by the store and sold as being 14k (and also stamped 14k on the inside of the band). I acid tested when I got home and immediately went back to the store. I was told there are "no refunds or exchanges" as it says it right there on the receipt. So, I told them is was sold as being "Precious Jewelry" as it says right there on the receipt and that I paid for something that I did not get (14K). They told me I should be more careful when I buy expensive jewelry. I said how much more careful can I be?.... you had it marked 14K in the high end display case and the ring is stamped 14k. I have pictures of the ring before I purchased being in their display case, pictures of the 14K stamp when I was viewing it, and pictures of the brass color showing through the ring after I acid tested (and it is not gold).

Then the back room has an assortment of antique and vintage denim, dresses, shoes, purses and costumes. But what was really cool were the upcycled and handmade pieces full of nihilism and shock value humor. I would've purchased one of these items but couldn't find my size. In each area there's a little I spy feature where one of the artists upcycles an item and paints it and writes a saying on it, keep your eye out for them! They even have a free box, which they really don't need to have, but they do it for the community! Staff were friendly.
