I left with a denim skirt that was $5 and some change. I really enjoy their mission and would rather support here than goodwill. They have A LOT of dishes, other housewares, luggage, gowns, and clothes. I wouldn't say there was much home wall decor though which I'm always on the hunt for. The prices are there with goodwill, however some items were definitely overpriced. As for the store itself, It is very cluttered as others have said. I also noticed a lot of the items were just piled on top of each other so it's very hard to dig through the items without throwing stuff around. There are also no fitting rooms but I was able to try stuff on in the bathroom but I'm not sure if that's a regular thing for customers. I think this shop has a lot of potential but they should consider a larger space / being more choosy with some of their inventory. I will definitely return because the staff was friendly and I like their mission.

They were thorough at explaining everything that was going on with her health. As you can expect, they are very busy since they are so affordable. So expect to wait a while. For instance, it used to take a while to get your prescription when you arrived to pick it up. Now they've started sending out prescriptions to your preferred pharmacy. I am so happy about that. Much more convenient.

But after being last to be called in even though its not appointment wtf ever they all had Clearly been there weekly but didnt care I waited patiently and they finally got us in a room ,and in storms the older lady kinda heavy set shoulder length hair ,very wrinkled face ,for real the most ill mannerd lady talking down to me immediately and never greated the dog just stormed in and bad stares at me while describing his ailment,well reaches down in a very fast motion grabbed and with a twist best thing I didnt realize I had hit record on my phone ,and no lie twisted his ear that had a blown ear drum ,and I said it on the video hey don't twist his ear and immediately said he had to be muzzled ,after rushing into him and twisting his ear I said woh no hey ill muzzle him but ghe twists of his ear isn't cool . The tech brought the muzzle in and I put it on him and she grabbed the light thing to look in his ear and twisted it again to look down inside he pulled away yelped and I stood up pissed as hell and she says he's going to have to be sedated for her to flush his ear out ,I said fuck no he's not ,you didnt greet him call him by his name you twist his ear orderd him muzzled and now want to put him under because you twisted his ear ghe second time ,I said hell no I watched you do that im fucking leaving . Sorry about my language but I said that and she stormed out .only to walk right back in because I said im going to another vet because she's not touching him ever again ,well she is less mean and says im going to prescribe a wash to flush his ear out and some steroid and pain pills for him ,I got the hell out so I could pay I wasn't going to run out without paying for that so called vet ,and I got the meds and then someone called the girl over in the back and she asked for my bottles back, I handed them back and the creepy wrinkled heavey set lady's name isn't on his bottles .im still going tomorrow morning for a real vets appointment so I make sure what is what ,but to get him to almost nip her and looking back and listening to the video i clearly said hey wow what are you doing twisting his ear lady I said it the second time as well when he was muzzled ,not greeting him rushing in the exam room would scare any animal, and they took my revue down shame on the heavy set wrinkle lady but she's not anyone you ever need to touch your animal and im going to find out just how many other non aggressive animals she's had to sedate to do anything for..bet im not the only person. ..shameful..but I think im going go ask a reporter i know how many complaints she's had against her .ill ask the state ,and they are going to take this down again I bet ..the heavy set lady is bringing that entire place down i bet ..truth and contact me and listen to it yourself..I didnt realize I hit video instead of photo ..erase my review again .heavy set wrinkle lady ..np..

Doing this at the vet can cost you hundreds of dollars, so it's an awesome service they were offering for local pet-owners. I found out about it via their Facebook page. I recommend following them on Facebook to keep tabs on other helpful events they might host! At the event, the staff really tried their best to make things run smoothly and comfortably as possible. As you guys know, that's hard to do in the Louisiana heat and rain! It was a popular event, with lots of people, so the wait was kind of long, but that's inevitable. What impressed me was the staff coming out to check on people and their pets who were waiting outside. They put out hoses and water bowls for the animals and passed out cold drinks to the people waiting. When it started raining, they quickly mobilized people inside and reorganized the line to try to shelter as many people as possible from the weather. So considerate, right? They were really efficient too; the vaccination and microchipping for the cat I brought was completed in less than 5 minutes once we got to the front of the line. The vet administering the shots treated him (my chonky male cat) so well, he didn't protest or complain at all. He even licked the vet's fingers when she was done! I guess my cat liked this place too!

I bought a parakeet from 50 fathoms four days ago and I've already spent hundreds of dollars on vet…read morebills because she came infected with Chlamidophilosis. From my interactions with the staff, it sounds like they would not have gotten her treated if they found out she was sick at the store. It feels like buying her ended up being kind of a rescue mission, honestly. The staff at 50 fathoms tried to deny that she was even sick, telling me that the vet I went to wasn't good and insisting that I should have gone to a different vet all the way in Baton Rouge. They said the vet was just guessing, but actually the vet did a fecal exam and also sent her blood out to a lab. I know I'm not the ideal pet owner because I'm poor and have an active outdoorsy lifestyle, but I'm doing everything I can to save this bird which is much more than they did. The bird is responding well to treatment and the vet says she has a pretty good chance of survival, but the articles I've read say that the treatment plan involves six weeks of antibiotic injections to prevent the bacterial infection from becoming treatment resistant. That's a lot of vet appointments for an animal I just bought four days ago. Chlamydophilosis is transmittable to humans. While I do recommend buying from a small locally owned business, this one wouldn't be my first choice anymore despite their wonderful selection of exotics, because I don't feel good about their standards for ensuring their animals' health and well being. If you must buy from this store, proceed with caution.

There are fresh towels, a variety of shampoos, and all kinds of brushes/fur accessories. Extra bonus? A large waterproof apron to save your outfit! It's also secluded from the store by a door, so if you have a flight risk of a pup (like I do) then it helps keep her/him contained. 2. The staff is always very accommodating with my pup. She's great with humans but not always with other animals. They help me to shop while keeping her calm/distracted. They've also been great with recommendations for me when I'm looking for a new harness or idea for my pup. 3. Fair prices on food, snacks, and toys.
