Hidden gem with a huge selection and variety of plants!…read more After visiting my mother and hearing about her new obsession with Hoyas I decided I should add one to my collection as well. I didn't know this place existed until I found it on Yelp and am glad I visited. When you walk in there are rows and rows of a variety of different plants that are overall healthy and well cared for. I was greeted shortly after my arrival by an man who said to let him know if I needed any help, which I appreciated. He didn't hover over me as a browsed, which is always nice. There are different rooms with everything from plants, metal artwork, pots, planting material, and gifts. The outside area is impressive with a large collection of ferns, succulents, cacti and flowers. I didn't find a hoya I liked but did find a beautiful red Salvia flower and bright pink Geranium I couldn't pass up. Overall the value of the plants is worth it but did see some overpriced plants. I fully support local businesses and understand retail stores don't always carry the quality you get from a shop like this. The man who checked me out was very friendly and wrapped my plants to prevent damage, which was nice. I highly recommend this place!

They also have unusual edible trees like fig tree and pomegranate tree. Nancy was super friendly and knowledgeable when I called. I was looking for a specific ornamental grasses, and even though that's not something she carries, she put me in touch with people that are. On top of that, she gave me great online resource to look for alternatives grasses so what I plant in my own yard would not be an invasive species to California. Ok, just one more thing. Talk about going above and beyond to a customer that didn't even buy anything, she even introduced me to a contact that does tree grafting via email. This level of customer service and just genuine kindness is very appreciated and that's what prompted me to write a stellar review!

(I am a buyer for a retail nursery) ** With that said, everyone I have dealt with has been knowledgeable and kind. The plants are plentiful. Not much labeled for succulents- some- not all. They also grow seasonal bedding plants, geraniums, cyclamen, depending on season. They grow succulents from 2" all the way up to 7 gallon plants. I love this place as a wholesale customer, here are a few reasons - drive around carts to transport your plants -consistently clean plants. (By clean I mean no bugs.) For any nursery this is a feat. I have been in the industry for over 20 years. -clean legitimate restroom. -you can pull plants and they will deliver (for a nominal fee) -general nursery cleanliness. I have seen few nurseries in this part of the state that I would recommend. Unfortunately they are not open to the public but you will see their plants at many retailers throughout then SF/ San Jose/ Bay Area!
