My boss thought of the term "vintage home furnishings store" when I was working on a report for class. "New" items are always coming in. There's always a huge supply of primitives, architectural pieces, metal office supply, rusty metal goods, old books, dish sets, furniture, jewelry. You can also sign up for workshops in Soldered Charms and Inspiration Boards. It's a great place to get decorating ideas for things you already have, or can just get at the store.

The store is nicely laid out and has the feel of an old mercantile store v. a haphazardly thrown together antique store. I'm more of a digger and while there were items I was interested in here at this shop...it definitely appealed more to my gf overall. That's probably a good thing for most people. I just like to get dirty and dusty... I'm not everyone's cup of tea. Lol Staff was friendly and I enjoyed visiting with them while my gf continued to shop. the Tin Chandelier will be added to our list of stops when we are in the Story City area!

It's mostly estate liquidation with lots of collectibles, antiques, kitchen items, household items, and some furniture. If you like smalls and glassware there is plenty of that too. Reasonable prices and an ever changing inventory. I don't think I've ever left here without buying something.

I was under the impression that anything sold would be reflected as a store credit to be used at our discretion. I stopped in a couple of weeks ago to buy some dishes and asked to use my credit. I was informed that there was no credit and that a check had been issued, that is now expired. I had a check...when?? That was not at all clear and I was not notified. I sent a message and received a call from the store about the issue, and nothing will be done. Not even a hint at a possible solution besides too bad, but the check is expired, nothing more. I asked if people are notified about consignment checks and they are NOT. The checks are put in a drawer and removed upon expiration if they weren't picked up. Even if I misunderstood, shouldn't customers be notified of money they are owed for personal items sold? I'm surprised that no message is ever sent. So, I gave my items to the store for free. My patronage must be very low priority. Questionable business practice and extremely frustrating.
