I have enjoyed going to The Attic in the past. However, the consignment reimbursement process is questionable. We dropped off a number of items last year for consignment. I was under the impression that anything sold would be reflected as a store credit to be used at our discretion. I stopped in a couple of weeks ago to buy some dishes and asked to use my credit. I was informed that there was no credit and that a check had been issued, that is now expired. I had a check...when?? That was not at all clear and I was not notified. I sent a message and received a call from the store about the issue, and nothing will be done. Not even a hint at a possible solution besides too bad, but the check is expired, nothing more. I asked if people are notified about consignment checks and they are NOT. The checks are put in a drawer and removed upon expiration if they weren't picked up. Even if I misunderstood, shouldn't customers be notified of money they are owed for personal items sold? I'm surprised that no message is ever sent. So, I gave my items to the store for free. My patronage must be very low priority. Questionable business practice and extremely frustrating. read more

As a SHOPPER, the store is inviting as items were placed in an orderly fashion and their prices are reasonable. Interesting mix or old and newer items and they update their displays. That was for the 2 stars. As a CONSIGNOR, I was not a happy camper. I took 40 items for their consideration and they chose 25 which took a few days to put into their system with pricing. I signed off after I disputed the few that were priced so very low (I could have donated those) and later agreed upon reluctantly. Who reads fine prints any way and so i did not know that there was $1charge for each item sold besides the percentage fee they take off. so what do u have left, peanuts! You have to keep on them every month for the checks that they write if your items sold. They have the right to forfeit those checks after a duration of time if not picked up. They do not mail them out or Venmo or Paypal. Nada! I did ask them the question about missing items as in do they pay full price or a percentage for when that happens. Their reply was that I will be paid. I am unsure if they write that into their 'contract'. I did not do the Math of each item sold on my behalf after their deductions. My goal was to rid of my clutter and I have donated at least thousands of dollars to thrift stores over the years. I want to live simply as I age. When my 90days was up, there were no phone calls from them and I have forgotten to keep track. It was roughly 105days from the date of consignment that I went in to ask about the closing of the 'contract'. They took a while to muster what they were going to tell me and that was that 2 of my fake jewelry could not be accounted for. I asked what is next. They asked that I wait for a month for them to look for them. WHAT?!!! What options do I have? At that moment, I asked for any checks due to me and the return of my unsold items. They didnt readily prepare them as I had to look for some still in the store. When the 120days were up, I called them and they have not found them. I asked what they were going to do about that and they said that they will pay. When I asked what percentage were they paying for the 2 missing and they gave me an unclear answer. So you know, as time moved forward items get discounted at their discretion. So you see what I mean by you get peanuts by consigning with them. Needless to say, I was very upset at the time of closing this 'contract'. Of course the owners were not there, neither was the manager. The employee at the cash register had to deal with me and she too was not happy with me. Their accounting system of items sold is questionable. Consigning with them was a chore! read more

Went here for the first time today and loved it. Good selection of collectibles, antique to modern pieces all at good prices. Feels like a boutique at thrift store prices. Will be back soon! read more

This was a fun little place with lots of decor, kitchenware, and furniture. It's got a lot of vintage stylized pieces. I wasn't as into the decor, but there were some fun things. The furniture was really cool and I would come back to see what they have. I think it's catered towards older customers, but it was still fun to go and see. The prices can get kind of high with some of the things being authentic vintage. We got a cute little recipe box from here and my boyfriend is making recipe cards for it. Awesome antique shop with tons of unique finds. The store is filled with tons of dishes, holiday items, knick knacks, and furniture. Prices are rely reasonable and marked clearly on products. Staff is really friendly and helpful. The lay out is a bit everywhere but that is to be expected from most every shop like this. Overall great impression.
