I'm really surprised at the other review on this site. Our experience with MCS was stellar and I've…read moresince recommended them to a few friends and colleagues who have had similar, positive experiences. The modular addition was a great approach and Christian was a highly responsive contractor. We added nearly 1000 square feet to our house, and only had to spend a weekend at a friend's house, saving us a TON of money (if our addition would have been built onsite, we'd have had to rent an apartment for a longer stretch). We tried a number of contractors and really were met with very sketchy folks, scarce referrals, and questionable estimates - and that's if they got back to us at all. Christian called us back EVERY time, was straightforward with what costs would be, was spot-on with our estimate, and though time ran a bit longer than promised, there were hiccups in the process on our end and on theirs - and really, with any large project, you have to expect that. Throughout MCS was honest and transparent about it all, which we really appreciated. We love our addition, and MCS still checks in with us after over a year to see how things are going. In looking at the other review, I'm left wondering if they were realistic about all that goes into a big addition. With any large project, you have to have some expectation of complications If you are looking for someone who will be responsive, honest, and not disappear in the middle of a project (I've heard nightmare stories about other contractors) and really diligent in following up, MCS is all that and more. I can't say enough about how happy we are with their work.

Review for Just Call Joe LLC At first Joe seemed very…read moreprofessional and said all the right things to get the job. We hired Just Call Joe LLC for a large project including a full kitchen renovation, coffee bar, enlarging our pantry opening with barn doors, two bathroom renovations (one expanded), lighting in several rooms, a ceiling fan installation, utility room renovation, roofing work, and installation of an electrical subpanel. Unfortunately the experience was extremely frustrating. The project start date kept getting pushed back and once work began there were about 12 no-call/no-show days, constantly delaying the project. The biggest concern was the quality and safety of the work. The electrical work was not done to code. The subpanel had neutrals tied to the ground bar, cut wires inside the panel, and incorrect wire gauges that could have created a fire hazard. Plumbing work repeatedly leaked and had to be redone multiple times. At one point there was a suspected gas leak and instead of using proper detection equipment Joe tried checking with a lighter. I had to purchase a gas leak detector because he did not have one and insisted there was no leak in the crawlspace. Bathroom work also created additional costs for us. Joe was unable to properly install our shower doors and had to redo tile work, which forced us to buy additional tiles. His incorrect measurements also caused us to purchase the wrong size vanity. Other workmanship issues included sloppy caulking, improperly supported drain pipes, improper water heater ventilation, and incorrectly installing a ceiling fan that I had to fix. In the kitchen he installed cabinets without removing the protective floor paper underneath them, which is still visible today. Another issue involved windows he claimed were picked up. After terminating the job we learned he never picked them up and had only placed a deposit. He promised to reimburse us but never did despite multiple calls and messages. The only work that turned out well was a butcher block table and shelving he built. Due to the delays, no-shows, safety concerns, and additional expenses we incurred, I would strongly caution others before hiring Just Call Joe LLC.

Greg is amazing. Amazingly strong, hard working, knowledgeable and tidy. He always puts down construction blankets so he doesn't walk on my floors. He is very personable and kind. The best thing about Greg is that he will fix things with long lasting solutions even if it takes more work or better material. You can trust his work. I contracted this company in 2017 to do some major renovations in my very first property I owned. I…read morenever had lived in a house before, and to me everything was so new. I had very limited experience with contractors. This company won me over but guaranteeing their work and servicing for "several years". Here is my opinion of them, after a year and a half since they "finished" their work: 1. quality of work: - POOR. They try to do many things "in-house", where their same workers being universally skilled at almost everything and therefore masters at nothing. Quality is from INTERMEDIATE to POOR. Many things had to be re-done, The would break one thing while fixing another, they keep creating more problems as they go along. They would also mislead me into believing that they do certain types of work (electric floor heating) , when they had no experience at all. They did not properly size the area, and installed electric wiring in the floor in a very unsafe and inefficient way, which caused the thermostat to trip. They persuaded me to install the electrical heated floors in the areas, that will never require it, simply due to physics. 2. Third Party Contracting: For come of the work they would hire another company. For the most part they would do the cheapest, low quality work, that would need to be re-done, due to safety concerns. For example they hired a company to install stairs. The quality was so bad, that the steps would start collapsing. I had to warn them of impending injury and wait for a while for them to get it repaired. 3. Procrastination / Abandonment: Even after I repeatedly warned them to winterize the house plumbing, they failed to do it and caused damage to the house. They also failed to secure /remove construction garbage /debris from my property, (despite my repeated warnings) which flew through out the neighborhood and cause me to get multiple violations from the village. They would also disappear for weeks, in the middle of work. I would later find out that they work on another property. 4. Price vs Quality: As I mentioned the quality ranged from MEDIUM to LOW, but the fees they charged where on par with very nicely done, expensive professional work. 5. Warranty. They did not honor their promise and about 8-9 months after they finished, I started having plumbing issues (they installed plumbing). They dont respond to repeated WhatsUp messages or the phone texts or calls. But the funny thing is that I dont trust them, so I rather pay someone else to fix it, rather having them come over and risking them break something else. In summary, I would definitely not recommend Royalties International Inc.

Anthony originally said he would come Monday to fix it, never came, then Tuesday, never came, then said his father would personally come today (Thursday), never came. More than half the time he doesn't show up when he says he will, and I have to call to find out why. How does a relatively small job like this not get finished in 7 weeks? Since he kept making excuses about why he couldn't come to finish the job, I told him I would report it to Yelp. Then literally the next day, he came and said he'd like to finish the job because he always keeps his word, and it doesn't matter if I leave my bad review up.
