Very good drinks from here. I would go every day if I could afford it . The menu didn't have what I liked so they made a drink how I wanted.

Well, I've been outed. I've referred to myself as "the yelp coffee guy," but I never though that I'd be recognized. But Brad at SIPS, the little coffee shack in Hermitage, recognized me, and was really happy that I came by. Now, I was offered to piggyback on the pay-it-forward deal that they had going on, but I considered it the better part of discretion to add my pay-forward while considering my review. And the place is really good. I've been twice, and both times, they've been great. My first pick is due to my own pickiness. I like SIPS a lot, but it won't replace the coffee house environs I enjoy when I can. That's really just my prejudices. The other is the feeling that they're all still learning the process. The first guy, who was really nice, didn't know what a Cafe au Lait was. And Brad was rushing around by himself trying to help me and the people at the walk-up window. It's new and doesn't feel smooth. All in all, it's a nice place. The guys are nice; the coffee is tasty; and the location is nice for a coffee-lacking area like Hermitage. If you're East on I-40, and looking for a quick kick in the pants, SIPS is a good place to grab a cup. read more

Our Juicer died, well it more like imploded, that's what we get for buying the cheap-o one from Walmart... Breville, here we come! But until then, we stopped by Sips! to grab a smoothie. While we looked over their menu, we noticed that they too offer fresh juices! We were pumped! We usually have to drive out to 8th avenue and end up spending what we would on fast food lunch for our juices but not at Sips! She made the kale juice right in front of us and we walked away with an amazing tasting beverage and a cheaper price then the competition. I just tried this place for the first time and my only regret is that I'm about to move and did not discover it sooner! I got a Mexican mocha and they were happy to accommodate this pregnant vegan with decaf and lots of milk substitute options! Very friendly and coffee was tasty! Prices are good too. read more

So I have been going to Sips for a year as I lived in the hermitage area. Love the juices and I love the shaved ice. Even though I've moved to another part of Nashville, I still make the 25 min drive to Sips because I'm a big supporter of small businesses and especially a quality one. Ive even told plenty of my friends who frequent Sips as well. Well today I had a horrible experience that makes me never want to go to this establishment again. I pulled up to the first window and being distracted, I didn't notice that an associate was trying to get my attention to order. When I noticed her I quickly apologized and let her know that I wasn't ready to order, I wanted to sample a flavor of shaved ice that I haven't tried before. She seemed annoyed and kept rushing me asking what size I wanted even though there was no line forming behind me. I kept reiterating that before I ordered, I wanted to sample a flavor. I then pulled up to the next window where the other female employee kept asking me what size I wanted even though I said I wanted to sample a flavor. Again...rushing me. She comes back with the sample and I tried it and said that I'll just go for what I normally do. As I handed my stamp card and card, the first employee comes back to the window as the rest of sample was going into my mouth, opens her hand and says "I'll take that from you." I gave her the sample back because I'm not a freeloader, I gave her my loyalty card to stamp so clearly I spend a lot of money at the establishment. I've asked for samples in the past to try new flavors and have never been asked to give it back ESPECIALLY not as rude as she did. It was all very spiteful. Not sure if it was because she was annoyed that I didn't notice her at the first window or if it was because I'm Black. Every employee today was rushing me and rude. I NEVER experienced treatment from any of the Sips employees like that ever in my life. One bad experience has definitely changed my mind and soured my shaved ice experience today. read more

LOVE Sips and love the fact that it is a small, local business. Everything I have had there has been wonderful! One of my favorites is "The Color Green" juice. Fabulous!
