We decided to pay the extra $20 fee to make a homemade candle and came early to smell all the available fragrances. You can bring your own drinks (alcoholic is OK) and snacks for a fun, relaxing social evening with friends, family or co-workers. The first step is setting your candle wick into the clear glass container. You put a gizmo that holds the wick so it stays centered in the container. After we finally chose the fragrance and a color to tint the wax, it was easy to pour in the fragrance into the cup of warmed up wax. Then pour it into the container and let it sit to cool off and firm up. Everything is set up in advance at the various painting stations. You can watch the instructor live or also on the TV screens. They will also walk around and help you if you need assistance. Since the instructor walks you through the process step by step, anyone can make a painting that you will be proud of. My only suggestion was that the smallest brush I was given wasn't quite fine enough for my liking. I like to paint fine details. After everyone is done, they take a big group photo at the end and it's fun to see all the different variations of the end product. It was a really fun, casual evening and I can't wait to do another one!

Super cute set up; they offer painting classes they even have a shop set up. The girls who greeted us were kind. They sent our host over to us to explain everything. He was a sweet boy but wasn't the greatest host personality wise and was a tad unclear with explaining what was going to happen especially with it being our first time. We were left in the tiny splatter room twice with just no direction. Overall we had a decent experience. Wasn't a whole lot to it.

Important things to know:…read more 1. This place gets CROWDED on weekends. Don't plan on bringing a big group unless you either show up well in advance or make a reservation (which...I'm not sure is possible unless you're booking one of their private rooms?). 2. They seem understaffed for their weekend crowds. It was really hard to flag down the staff. They were helpful when we were able to corral them, but you might find that you end up being here longer than you planned just because you were sitting waiting for more paint. 3. Prices are...not cheap. In addition to the flagrantly marked-up cheap Chinese premade pottery pieces you can paint, watch out for that $8 per-adult "studio fee" that gets tacked on. The pottery wheel classes are $60 per person, which actually might be a better deal, though I'm not sure if painting is then an additional fee. 4. You can BYOB and BYO food. Which is cool. But the tables might not be large enough for your piece, your paint, your brushes, your brush water, AND your food and drinks. Again, plan in advance...
