Love how the outdoor seating and the dining hall are both located on the property. The hubby and I arrived early as he was also a guest and the singer/acoustic guitarist for part of it. The dinner was amazing. My roasted chicken over mashed potatoes and carrots was delicious. Tried my husband's salmon and that was good too. The bar area had both non-alcoholic and alcoholic mixed drinks. Parking was valet for the majority. The valet staff were all nice. We had arrived early so we parked ourselves but they had to move a vehicle that was in front of us and that was ok. At one point, the wedding party rode golf carts to the beach for photos. Overall it's a lovely venue for a wedding or special occasion.

Fast forward to last night and we attended their ceremony at La Ventura and we all had such a wonderful time! La Ventura is a very beautiful and intimate place. There's a small indoor bar area by the main lobby and an outdoor patio where there was a photo booth and gelato station set up. I am not sure if they were outside vendors because while the photo booth staff was GREAT and he was just so patient with all of us but the service from the gelato bar staff kind of fell short. Other than that, everything about the wedding was fantastic.

Everywhere you look, you could find something from modern, farmhouse, Bohemian, vintage, any style and any color you could imagine, you can find it here. Unfortunately, they were not able to do that, but they did gift me the plate on my wedding day! That is now a very special memory and plate that I will treasure for years to come! Thank you so much Sundrop vintage. I cannot thank you guys enough for everything that you did for me throughout our many decorating walk-throughs and our final mock up and for my wonderful plate. Her willingness to help and ability to problem-solve made a stressful situation much easier. The quality of both the furniture and the service was excellent. We would have loved to source our flatware through them as well if we had been able to. Overall, Sundrop Vintage was absolutely worth the long-haul fees, and we highly recommend them.

If I could provide a "10 Star Review" of Colleen with Joy 'n Company, I would. From the initial…read moreemail reply, which was within minutes, to the phone call and same day phone appointment, the wedding planning process with Joy 'n Company was seamless. Hiring a wedding coordinator is not an extravagance, it's simply a necessity. Colleen was in email communication with our daughter for months prior to the wedding date with two formal meetings. The final last two weeks, Colleen handled all vendor communication, confirmation, and insurance logistics. On our daughter's wedding weekend, I was able to enjoy every moment with our family, which was free from managing the details of: the wedding rehearsal, wedding day table scape set up, welcome signs, decor, napkins, vendor communication, issuing out gratuities, managing the flow of the reception, transporting the honeymoon luggage to the getaway car, and breaking down the wedding. We are already planning to rehire Colleen with Joy 'n Company for our next daughter's wedding.

Colleen made our complex wedding feel effortless, highly recommend!…read more Joy & Co. coordinated our very complex and dynamic wedding, and we're so grateful we hired them. We worked closely with Colleen in the months leading up to the wedding and on the day itself. Neither our ceremony nor reception location was a traditional wedding venue, so we had to bring in everything, which added a lot of complexity. We had over 20 vendors supplying different services and products, and coordinating them all took significant management from Colleen. When planning felt chaotic, she reassured us that we were doing well, gave us to-do lists, and helped us organize everything so we knew we were on track. In the final weeks, she was amazing about answering emails and texts and communicating frequently to nail down all the last-minute details. On the wedding day, I can't begin to describe how hard Colleen worked. Our ceremony and reception were a 20-minute drive apart, and on a hot summer day she made sure both locations were set up to our exact vision, from rental layouts and design details to florals and more. We also had to pivot for weather and the elements, and Colleen handled it all with grace, professionalism, and an upbeat attitude. She adjusted the timeline in real time and kept every vendor on track so the day ran smoothly. At the end of the night, she had everything buttoned up and closed out at the venue, giving us the peace of mind to enjoy the rest of our night without worrying about a thing. We would highly recommend hiring Joy & Co. for your event or wedding. You can feel confident knowing you're in the hands of true professionals. Thank you, Colleen, for everything!

Hands down one of the most creative, dreamy, special ways to spend my mom's 50th birthday. The…read moresurprise was for her, but I was extra surprised myself. Booking the event was extremely easy, I read other reviews about the planners not reaching out prior to the event, but the truth is that you don't really need to hear from them. All of the plans are in writing when you sign the agreement, the location and time are set prior to the date (also in writing). The day the event, the crew reached out and let me know they were setting up along with texting me a location pin. The Picnic Collective went above and beyond with the details. The flowers were beautiful, the grazing boards were delicious, everything was absolutely beautiful! I purchased the sandwiches for each guest and they were yummy. The only extra things I brought myself were a cake and alcohol. (mini champagne bottles and seltzers along with a trash bag to keep the alcohol bottles out of sight :) They provide pretty glass looking cups and it made us feel extra fancy. The blue tooth speaker was a nice touch to set the mood with music. Overall 10/10 I would hire them again for another special occasion. I was so happy with everything. If your picnic is at the beach like most are, I recommend arriving 30min early, plan ahead because parking is a mother. For reference I worked with Kristen and she was really fast at replying via text.
