Showed up two hours before check in just to see if by chance a room was available, told they would call. Never received a call, showed up 15 mins before check and felt like we were asking for the world. They had to send someone to check if the room was done. So after 3 requests it was still one of the last rooms done? On top of it all the pool was closed, so the kids couldn't swim!

We are suckers for history and a swanky atmosphere. I wouldn't want to park here - it is a tight lot. Even the Ubers and Lyfts have trouble getting in and out because it is narrow. Breakfast was clean and well maintained. I saw the guy working behind the scenes as he checked on coffee levels and refilled food. While he didn't interact with customers, he was working efficiently. We have now settled in on this StayBridge (not the one at the mall which we have tried in the past) as our 'go to' place to stay. For us the location is solid - can get to the highway and downtown easily. Ample parking even when the hotel is full (which it was for most of our week long stay). The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms, hallway and parking lot are all clean. The breakfast changes daily - always has an egg dish, a breakfast meat, carb choices (including you can make waffles), fruit, yogurt and juice, soda or coffee. The small exercise room is fine - 3 cardio machines plus dumbbells. The small pool looked fine (we didn't go in). The building is solid - so we didn't hear hallway traffic or the people aboe or below us. The price is appropriate. Biggest 'complaint' - the dishwasher had way too much rust in it - that should be reviewed and fixed )we were on a 2 bedroom suite). We have already booked our next stay!

My only piece of feedback that I assume is not under control of the location itself, but Wyndham overall: The plastic forks and knives for food. Could they please consider doing biodegradable? Our room stunk like sewage and never cleared up. It was 90+ and humid, we couldn't get any fresh air. After talking to other families who also had to stay they all had the same experience. We purchased febreeze and kept the bathroom fan on. Minimal change. Ceilings are buckling and walls are bubbled. It looks like the next rain storm will cause severe damage. Carpets are stained and wet. Bathroom shower would not drain while showering. Place had a room on the second floor close off. We speculated a homicide or fumigation for bed bugs. But ultimately landed on it must be water damage. We still don't know. Bitter sweet- the team ended up losing early so we all left a night earlier than expected. I can't wait to shower and scrub down. If we could give zero stars we would. Seriously hope the city does an inspection!!

I had to grab hold of the shower curtain to avoid being severely injured/catch my fall. My foot and ankle were badly bruised for the rest of the trip home, which was across several states. Thank God nothing was broken, but some safer surfacing at the base of the tub would have been an easy fix, and would have prevented this.
