An extended stay hotel that offers a reasonable daily rate clean & comfortable room + safe accommodations for those traveling through Sioux Falls. I originally was planning to stay at the Microtel across the street in order to rack up points, yet my gut told me to stay at My Place and pay the $80 for one night. I was certainly not disappointed. The S. Carolyn Avenue area is pretty much 38th street, meaning that you can drive three blocks to 41st street and access I-29 North or South within minutes. For those unfamiliar with this area, that means that you can travel the major interstate either to Omaha, NE (I-29 south), or Fargo, ND (I-29 north) fairly quickly. While you may see cars traveling along I-29 from the side of the hotel, it was hard for me to hear the traffic from my window. The room itself met expectations for a new extended stay hotel: comfortable bed, kitchenette, reasonable sized table/desk area, and leather chair. Please note that you'll have to use the dining room table as your desk, since there isn't a desk available for work purposes. Overall, the room was spacious and comfortable for my needs. There isn't a continental breakfast here, yet there is "breakfast" available. You can pre-purchase a breakfast package for $4.49, which consists of a fruit, drink, and microwavable biscuit sandwich. This package is solely for those that are on the go. I thought that this was a bit laughable, yet I went along with it, being that I fit into the category of being on the go to my next destination. I didn't see any other amenities such as a gym or pool on this property, and the Internet is one where you will have to ask the front desk for an Ethernet cord. At first, I thought "an Ethernet cord in 2016? Why?" Yet after trying it (at no additional cost), I found the upload and download speeds to be quite good. I'll certainly be back. Worth the $$$.

I have been on the road for two weeks and this is by far the most comfortable hotel I have stayed in. I stayed here for three nights with my three other co workers. We loved it. Comfortable beds, kitchenette and recliner made our stay enjoyable. Super clean rooms were a major plus. I didn't hear much noise other than the freeway, and that wasn't bad at all. Desk personnel were friendly and courteous. Lots of restaurants, bars and shopping within walking distance. There is a refrigerator/freezer that makes ice and a full size coffee pot in each room. There isn't any utensils or plates/bowls in the rooms. Stay here!

We were coming in for a wedding and encouraged other guests to book here too. It is easy to get to and from the airport. We took an uber (short drive) but the hotel does have a shuttle if you arrange it. We learned that lyft has more drivers than uber in this area if that is helpful to anyone. Things we loved: - the add on during booking was worth it (strawberries and champagne) - the kitchenette area is not tiny - I love the non slip floor in the bathroom and shower. The look of it and the functionality. please link me, I need this floor at home! - mattress comfy - very clean rooms, robes presented on beds very nice touch. - dimming lights Staff are nice and they have a little coffee breakfast nook with goodies by front desk as well. This location is very walkable to go get a burger or breakfast sandwich down the street too. Super bonus is the treasury restaurant inside the hotel through the safe door. We are suckers for history and a swanky atmosphere. I wouldn't want to park here - it is a tight lot. Even the Ubers and Lyfts have trouble getting in and out because it is narrow. I mean people do, I just personally would not. Thanks for the wonderful stay. If we have to come back to Sioux Falls we won't be staying anywhere else but here.

Check in and out was fast and easy…read more Hotel room was clean and tidy. But they didn't have any disposable cups or body lotion. Beds were firm and clean and we had a great night's sleep. Noise from our next door visitors did wake us in the morning, and this isn't the most sound proofed building. But pretty much expected as it was true in most other locations as well. Shower was tub-less, and spotless. But during the shower, the water dripped right on top of the metal basin at the foot of the shower where water drained. This is totally fine, except that it made such loud water dripping sounds during my shower that I was annoyed. I like playing music when i shower, and the dripping noise was quite distracting. Breakfast was clean and well maintained. I saw the guy working behind the scenes as he checked on coffee levels and refilled food. While he didn't interact with customers, he was working efficiently. Everything was super fresh. I love all the Le Creuset pans they use for hot breakfast items.

Hotel is clean and fresh. Staff are very helpful, hardworking and friendly. However, I think…read moresenior management needs more of a sense of urgency to address some annoying items that negatively impact the guest experience. I am staying at the hotel for six nights and one of the two elevators has been broken for my entire stay. So wait times are long at peak demand times. Second, the laundry machines are out of order- Apparently "waiting for a part". This is an amenity that I count on- so very annoying. After asking 3 times, I did not get maid service on the day it was supposed to happen. I arrived back at my room at 6:30 PM exhausted and no maid service. The maids were still working and cheerfully attended to my room. Apparently staffing shortfalls were the issue. Finally, the breakfasts are understaffed. There is only one very hard working individual attempting to replenish the buffet, clear the tables, handle guest requests etc. So once peak demand starts- trays can run empty and staff are too busy to refill them promptly. One day I finally gave up waiting for the hash browns to be replenished. Minor item but part of an annoying pattern of service shortfalls. It's not the staff on the ground- they are excellent- it's management decisions to shave costs that seem to be the culprit.

It doesn't hurt that it's a bit off the man drag. So overall I would say pretty solid construction. The parking lot is generous with okay lighting, but the hotel is in a decent area so I wouldn't anticipate too many issues here. The girl working the desk was pleasant and helpful in pointing out nearby places to eat. The only real downside was the price. Almost $300 for a one night stay! I get that it's nice, but it's not the Ritz. My wallet says Ouch!!

We have now settled in on this StayBridge (not the one at the mall which we have tried in the past) as our 'go to' place to stay. For us the location is solid - can get to the highway and downtown easily. Ample parking even when the hotel is full (which it was for most of our week long stay). The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms, hallway and parking lot are all clean. The breakfast changes daily - always has an egg dish, a breakfast meat, carb choices (including you can make waffles), fruit, yogurt and juice, soda or coffee. The small exercise room is fine - 3 cardio machines plus dumbbells. The small pool looked fine (we didn't go in). The building is solid - so we didn't hear hallway traffic or the people aboe or below us. The price is appropriate. Biggest 'complaint' - the dishwasher had way too much rust in it - that should be reviewed and fixed )we were on a 2 bedroom suite). We have already booked our next stay!
