The office is simple, to the point, no bells or whistles - seriously, I think the x-ray machine was a relic from when x-ray machines were first invented - but with me that's all good, it's part of the charm. If I wanted fancy I'd go to Cleaveland clinic (been there, done that, never went back!) Loved Dr. Jacobs, but even more, I loved that the staff had been with him and Dr. Block for nearly a decade if not more. Our PA said she had been there the least amount of time and it was about 5 years. It takes a lot for a medical staff to be so loyal to the doctors they work with, and everyone in that office was in a good mood and were working well together. My pain is gone, and honestly I hope to never see Dr. Jacob's again, because, you know, I don't know many people who like going to the doctor. But if I ever have foot pain again, you'll know who I'll be calling right away.

I have been going to Dr. Block for about 30 years! When I can't get an appointment with him because…read morehe is off or out of town, I see Dr. Jacobs. I will travel to any of their offices since I am very comfortable with them and know that I will be treated well. They are both cheery, have a great sense of humor, are very knowledgeable in their field and are good diagnosticians. They are always able to make my aching feet or toes well again. I would not trust my feet to anyone else!

Dr D took over for my original Podiatrist when he retired. Continued neuroma injections that the…read moreretired doctor started. She asked me if I wanted his usual third injection. I said yes since that's what he did in the past. At my follow-up visit, I had more metatarsal swelling. She said "See! You shouldn't have had the third injection". She blamed me for having the third injection when she never warned me it might be counterproductive. To treat my metatarsalgia, she prescribed expensive shockwave therapy treatments for $300 per treatment. With no improvement after this expensive (and non insurance approved) treatments, I still had no sustained improvement in the swelling on the ball of my foot. My gut instinct made me try another Podiatrist because of Dr D's attitude, several miscommunications and lack of progress in my treatment. My new Podiatrist examined my foot by hand (which Dr. D never did) and immediately knew what the problem was (a diagnosis Dr. D never discovered). He simply placed a thick metatarsal pad on my insole to offload the stress on the swollen area. Within his predicted month, my swollen area started to shrink. By the second and final visit, my swelling and discomfort had resolved by 80%. My advice to you is to listen to your gut when it is telling you something is wrong. I'm so glad I switched to a better doctor.
