We went on opening weekend (9/28). Unfortunately, it wasn't very crowded at all. Which would have been great for us if we hadn't bought the fast pass that we didn't end up needing at all. This is different from other haunted mazes that I have been to because they actually have vendors here and a live band playing. This is held in what was formally a Macy's...which adds to the creepy factor. There is also two scare zones that you walk through on the first floor. There is a total of three mazes...one on each floor. The first floor maze was one of the best mazes that I have ever been through. It is very interactive and personal. I like that you are not herded through like cattle which takes away the scary factor. This maze made me face my claustrophobia fears and once I made it through I was half filled with anxiety and half filled with thrill. Needless to say, we ended up doing that maze again. Actually, we went through all the mazes twice. The other mazes are really cool and the 3rd floor one is also unique in the way that you go through the maze. I won't add any spoilers. We already did Universal Horror Nights and Queen Mary Dark Harbor this year, so I was excited to visit Sinister Pointe! I've enjoyed their attraction when they were still in Fullerton and remember getting the crap scared out of me. I can report that they did it again tonight! Side note: I'm a Halloween haunt fan but a major scaredy cat! Located inside Laguna Hills Mall which is also by In N Out. Parking is plentiful and FREE! We purchased our tickets thru Groupon so entering was a breeze. No line at the entrance at 9:45pm on Friday 10/19/18. It was definitely a slower night. We completed all 3 attractions in 1.5 hours. This used to be a Macy's department store, so there is a lot of space they had to work with! Upon walking in on the first floor, there is a stage and vendors scattered among 2 scare zones which are mini maze walk throughs. Restrooms are only port o potties located on first floor by the entrance. There are 3 attractions - Boogeyman Express, Phobias, and Evil on 2. The website states there would be light touching by scare actors which I noticed A LOT of! Also, I noticed a heavy use of strobe lights. Some mazes splash you lightly with water and some require crawling. "Boogeyman Express" was SO FUN!! Line up here first! We waited almost 30 mins (I read that it can be longer), but it was so worth it! It is a train-like ride which is actually pretty scary with a pinch of adult comedy from the conductor. This attraction had me screaming, ducking, and jumping all from inside a train. Allowing only small groups (4 can comfortably fit in the train) really intensifies this experience! This ride should definitely NOT be missed! "Phobias" is a walk through INTERACTIVE maze! The line took a little longer because they only allow small groups in.. you'll see why! It's pretty fun and kept me on my feet. You literally experience some common phobias so proceed with caution! I refused to do certain things because like I said, I am a chicken! Thankfully my BF and a random guy who went thru with us completed the tasks! I appreciate how the walk through is built and all the surprises inside! "Evil on 2" is a haunted hotel themed walk through maze. The concierge walked us in to a big, dark room (it looked like what used to be the loading dock) and I instantly became scared! I like how this maze is different from other attractions due to utilizing department store stuff. The scare actors inside also did a great job hiding in unexpected places which sent me running away screaming! Overall, I think Sinister Pointe did a GREAT job! My experience may differ being a scaredy cat and having a small crowd which meant no more than 4 people grouped together in each attraction. Let's start by saying I hate all things scary/clowns/horror in general things that are haunted. So when my friend tells me she's got the Groupon V.I.P. tickets imagine my excitement. Scary place is located inside the Laguna Hills Mall It's very a spacious with three floors. 1. Entrance, 2 mini Mazes, Vendor booths and Stage for music. There was a live band playing when we walked in called "Somewhat Ace" and a magic show by Mudd the Magnificent which I found to be pretty entertaining. 2/3. Evil on 2 & Boogeyman Express takes up two floors. Boogeyman Express is scary as hell. It's a wagon/buggy that can take only 4 people at time. A sick twisted humor by the driver of the Buggy and the sidekick. Lots of flashing lights, people popping out, some touching done and lots of screaming. Evil on 2 is a maze through "old haunted hotel" a creepy and scary maze. Each room there's something intense and different. The people really get into character. Phobias was super intense and the junction you either chose to go right or left. We couldn't decide so the guys yelled at us and chose for us to go right. This was my least favorite. Perhaps it's from being stuck in a locker or my group being separated or seeing phobias come alive. The idea of this is super cool. We came last night for opening night. I just think it wasn't worth the money we paid. Idk if the monsters were on break or anything but they just stood there while I walked by them. Aside from that it was so hard to breathe in there I kept inhaling the fog that I started to taste it and started coughing a lot once I was done with the maze my throat felt funny. When the 30 mins are up there's a red light and a sound that tells you time is up. But it's so hard to hear the sound from all the damn sounds of the fog lights . We found 10 of the artifacts. Could have probably found all of them if I wasn't too busy catching my breath from all the fog I inhaled The workers were super nice but this scavenger hunt wasn't at all what I expected. Maybe the monsters should try and scare us inside . But they just stood there when we are looking for the items. read more

Sinister Pointe is a bit pricey for 3 main attractions, but it was a memorable night. 2018 was in an abandoned Macy's. At first I was joking that it was an empty Macy's with 3 floors, but you can see the old sign at the entrance. There were two "scare zones" as we entered, or mini mazes, but hardly any scare actors inhabiting them. We went on a Sunday night and went to level 2 first where we waited for the Boogeyman Express, a mine cart ride for 4 with a driver and "tour guide." We were warned it had the longest line and waited 2 hours, and it was a brutal 2 hour wait. We got churros to soften the blow but still dragged on forever. The actual ride itself it probably 5-7 minutes. Think of it as a tour through a ghost town with some creatures lurking. I enjoyed it as it was a good blend of adult humor and scary moments, but hard to justify a 2 hour wait. But did like how it didn't take itself too seriously. The good news is, we went to the front of the line for the next two attractions. Next up was Evil on 2, which was a hotel themed maze/haunt. The actor set it up well, and the fact the two of us (my friend and I) had the floor to ourselves made the experience super creepy. You basically have to find your way to the end, and with lots of evil "guests" there were plenty of hair-raising moments. One of my favorite haunted attractions I've ever done. The last one was Phobias. Again to the front of the line. This one had a series of rooms with different psychological challenges, some silly, some gross, and some scary. Again, a good mix of humor and scares. Had some memorable moments, but not as much as the hotel themed floor. If you do the math, the average wait time for each would have been 45 minutes - we just happened to wait 2 hours for 1 of the 3 attractions. The VIP pass is twice as much, and I can't see that being worth the cost. I did appreciate that the actors were really into it and totally enhanced the experience. The sets were also nicely done. Thanks for the tickets Yelp!!! So many mixed reviews for Sinister Pointe, in my opinion they deserve the five stars for effort! If I had to pay for it maybe the star factor would go down a notch! I arrived at 7pm. (Sinister Pointe is located where the old second hand store used to be) lots of parking all around. If you already have your tickets park in the rear. If you need to purchase or pick up, that would be in the front! There are three or four different lines, an employee there will direct you to the line you should be in! I waited about forty minutes before it was our turn!! The mazes take you through different doors and each door takes you through situations you have to figure out how to keep moving thorough to get the hell out!! I mentally had a plan to just rush in and out to get it over with but that was a fail! One of the rooms I had trouble with was one with doors everywhere, I kept trying and trying and the guy with creepy costume breathing down my neck didn't help one bit! I had to keep pushing him out of my way! Finally I broke through!!! The actors were great, the props were scary! I couldn't tell if some were real or fake! I've been to Knotts Scary Farm, Queen Mary Dark Harbor, & Six Flags Fright Fest AND Sinister Pointe was the best in terms of SHORTEST WAIT. Bigger theme parks obviously have more attractions such as rides and mazes but when it comes down to it, waiting for 2+ hours per maze worth it or no? You'd prob get about 2-3 mazes the entire night. Not only that, but the chaotic parking is terrible!! You have to pay for parking and find a spot. Sinister pointe offers 3 mazes and one blackout escape room ($1/person). Although theres only 3 mazes, 2/3 are quite longer than usual mazes at other theme parks. My favorite was the interactive maze. Ive never been to any of these but they have different rooms with different scenarios. Youre able to climb though tunnels, go through lockers, and etc. Its located in Macy's (closed down) at the Laguna Hills Mall. Its about 2 stories and it wasn't as occupied as I expected. I was able to go through 2 mazes twice too! You can finish everything in about an hour if you come at exactly 7pm. Was in the very first group for the opening night of THE MIST. They started about 30 minutes late, but everyone that worked there was very nice and kept us informed. It's in a super sketchy area simply because it just feels like "oh lord what kind of trash is this gonna be." I had fun. It was entertaining enough, but definitely not worth 30 bucks considering 17th DOOR gives you 100x more show and effort for the same exact price. The artifacts are easy to find, I wish it was more threatening and menacing. Cool idea, with an ok execution. Lots of unfinished sets. Seriously, lots of stuff that is just straight up wood walls with absolutely no decoration or paint. Got a couple good scares. Lots of crawling. Fun to play with a small group, but wouldn't make this a priority event if you can only do 1 or a few this season. read more

Great fun and interesting ideas from Sinister Pointe! I loved and enjoyed The Mist! This is very important and I cannot stress enough! ITS NOT A MAZE! If you are wanting/expecting a maze then go somewhere else because you won't find that here! The Mist is very different from other haunts this year. The Mist is a very fun and immersive scavenger hunt. Scattered around the second floor of their building are 13 artifacts you must find while and they are not simple finds. My team found 10 (would have been 11 but we found it right as time ran out). The talent scattered throughout were definitely on their A game and knocked it out of the park! I'm generally not that easy of a scare and several of them got me really good, one almost to the floor! Kudos to them! My only complaint really about the event is that because of how much fog is used for the event the floor a get pretty slippery from the residue of their fog but that is why they really stress that you shouldn't run while you are scavenging when they are going over the rules. Overall Sinister brought a really fun and different to the Halloween season this year and I cannot wait time return! read more

I had a cute time but wasn't as scared as I hoped. I think they did a really great job and there were a lot of cool elements but I think the space was a little large for the event. I found myself wanting to sympathy-scream for the monsters because they were doing a really good job but I just wasn't scared and not many people were there. The phobia maze was my fav, I really, really liked the craftsmanship of the whole thing, great job! The 3rd floor maze-ride was really well done too, I very much enjoyed my time! The line looked pretty short for a Friday evening, but it still took a while to get in. The reason for this is that, unlike other places, you get to go in with your group only. That really heightens the experience, because you're not just being herded through a line where there are people ruining the scares up ahead and others pushing from behind. We did all four mazes. Each one had a couple different rooms and elements, but they were mostly the same. I didn't realize that there would be any crawling, so I wore a dress and the wrong type of underwear for such an activity...it's a good thing that I was the last one through and that there wasn't another group behind us (I don't think, anyway. Haha. Good times). We were all surprised by the "ride" section of the maze. That broke things up a bit. Some parts were really interesting and the concepts were well-done. I couldn't see anything at all in the last maze, but I wish there had been more things in there to frighten me when I was so utterly defenseless. Don't sleep on this one, folks. This haunt takes place in a mall space (I think it used to be a Macys), which is pretty neat. Also, that means free parking, which already gives it massive points when you're used to going to LA events and having to pay for parking. There are 3 mazes in here and 2 walkthrough areas (not a proper haunt but has scare actors and some neat stuff to look at). There are also a bunch of scare actors roaming about in addition to a bunch of vendors selling cool horror-themed knickknacks and whatnot. There are 3 mazes - one on each floor. However, the way the mazes are laid out on the floors are kind of confusing so I will attempt to clarify it. Maze #1 is Phobias. This one exploits a bunch of common phobias. Super neat. Interactive!. Line is on the first floor and maze takes place on the first floor. Maze #2 is Evil on 2. This one's idea is that you're staying in a haunted hotel. Definitely don't skip out on this one. Was my favorite but only by a little bit. Just room after room of super creepy settings. Line is on the first floor but the actual maze takes place on the second floor. Maze #3 is the Boogeyman Express. This one is a gotdang ride, folks. I didn't think being on a moving thing going through a maze would be that scary but this one exceeded my expectations. I will agree with the other reviewers here and say that you should definitely go to the Boogyman Express first since the line for that one tends to be the slowest-moving. Line is on the second floor but the maze takes place on the third floor. I purposely tried to be vague so as not to give anything away. I've been to Knott's, Queen Mary, and Universal and all 3 mazes at Sinister Pointe were well and above better than any maze at any of those places. The scare actors at the mazes were so good. They just really elevated these haunts to a new level. I was used to going to theme park haunts where they try to get as many people through the mazes as possible so you tend to go in a big ol' group; the ones at Sinister Pointe, however, were different. They made sure to let you go through only in small groups, which made the whole experience a lot more personal. For the not-so-good. They advertise food trucks but I didn't see any. I think the only food I saw for sale were cookies and churros. This one's not that bad because it's in a mall with a bunch of other food places in the same plaza so they are within walking distance. Only 4 port-potties for bathroom usage for the entire event. Somewhat confusing layout with the floors. They had a sign that tried to illuminate what mazes were where but that kind of just made it more confusing. That's it. Just eat and poop beforehand, people. read more

I am normally a big fan or sinister pointe Halloween attractions...but in the past few years they haven't been that great. This year we were hoping and expecting greatness with such a big location. It was a disappointment. We paid VIP, and general admission lines were shorter. They need to limit the number of VIP purchases per night. We spent more time in line than in the actual mazes. Maybe because it was opening weekend? But that shouldn't be an excuse. I expected it to be ready and fully staffed and functional. There was not enough actors to scare us in the mazes. It was more of a walk through and checking out the rooms than a scary maze. We actually enjoyed more the escape room game than any of the mazes. I think they went too big. They should of just focused on one big maze where they could have spent more of their time perfecting it instead of having three unstaffed mazes. I felt they just went too big. It's unfortunate because I know what they are capable of doing. I loved their scary haunted attraction when they were in Brea. We drove over an hour and just left feeling so disappointed and a waste of money. We are all Halloween lovers. This is our first haunt of the season so we were expecting a great start. RIP OFF! WASTE OF MONEY! WASTE OF TIME! This is the most disappointing Halloween event that I have ever been to and it cost as much as going to a big theme park. OUCH! The mazes are a joke. I've seen better sets in high school plays. The 1st floor is largely merchants selling overpriced junk AND most of them were CLOSED, display cases covered. I guess they also figured this place was a waste and not worth the time. The Phobia maze was a major yawn. Scare Zones were beyond amateurish with few actors. No Magic show. Band? I hope they don't quit their day jobs. 2nd floor is the Evil on 2 maze that starts on the 1st floor. Other than that the floor is largely the queue for the 3rd floor ride/maze. There's a churro vendor and a low end escape room experience that isn't part of the event and asks for MORE money. Lots of empty, wasted space. 3rd floor is the Boogeyman Express ride. Again, nothing special to see here. Move along. Having your picture taken (again more $$$) is the only part of the experience that is even remotely frightening. No food trucks. Again, I'm guessing they found out what a waste this event was and backed out. Restrooms. This was the only scary thing about the place. The event is way, way, WAY overpriced. Really lackluster event. We sprung for the VIP tickets, which was kind of a waste since nobody was actually at the event. We only waited in one line for the upcharged "escape room." and everything else we walked right in as there weren't any lines. The elevator going directly into the 2nd maze was really cool, but the rest was very home-haunt feeling. Tons of black walls with arrows spray painted on. Very bare sets. The 2nd floor has almost nothing going on once you get out of the maze that leads you there. They kept advertising Monte but only Mudd had shows on the stage. Mudd does a great show, but its the same magic show twice a night, so you kind of only have one show to see. The "Escape Room" is an extra $1 per person and they remind you constantly that this is an escape room and not a maze. But...it's a maze. A literal maze. It's an unlit maze where you have to feel for the way out, but there's no puzzles or locks or keys or anything that you might expect in an Escape Room. They should have really expanded this a bit more and made it a 4th attraction included with price rather than charging $1 for a blackout maze that has been misadvertised. For a company that has produced great haunts in the past, it was really sad to see such a poor quality event. The event ended at 11, but half of the vendors had closed up shop by 10:20. By 10:40, almost every shop was closed down. Glad we got early prices, but even that was $50 a person and definitely not worth that price. read more

Great for you money if a haunted house to you means waiting in lines for hours. What a disappointment. I was so excited to go and just ended up waiting in lines and once you get in, third party vendors still end up charging you when you were already overcharged. Tip: if you do want to go anyways (which I recommend you don't) go to the bathroom beforehand since they only have the most unkempt porta-potties that will REALLY scare you. Go to Knotts instead. Been here a few years back when they did their spooky Christmas event and it was great! This year they did a scavenger hunt haunt and I am pleased to say it did not fail us. It was so much fun! And especially a person like me who doesn't scare to easily bc I usually see the scares coming so to be given a task while scare actors are jumping out at you, they definitely got some jumps out of me! Time went by so fast though :( my friend and I got 7/13 and I think mainly bc we kept losing track of which rooms we hadn't been in. Ummm...Noooooo. Maybe I set the standard so high after just experiencing The 17th Door right before showing up here. But seriously I keep an open mind and be completely analytical and objective when writing a review. However, this place just had a zero "wow" factor! Not even sure how to go into this really but here goes... Both my date and I felt like it was put together by The Boy And Girl Scouts Of America. Its as if someone forgot that this was supposed to be a haunted house and not Willy Wonka And the Chocolate factory. The constant open this door and that door was annoying because you would open them and expect something to jump at you as predicted, but no absolute nothingness! A few times here and there certain gollums and ghouls would jump out of which I'm pretty sure I stepped on one of their feet and squeamishly one of them said "sh*t my foot" LOL. Your journey begins with a card reading and that card is handed to you and sets the pace of where you go in the house. Each card represents a symbol and is matched with doors with that exact symbol of which door you go through and yes once again you go through a lot of doors! You move through this pretty quick and at the end left saying in your own head " I dropped $ on this" Honestly, my review ends here not much to really say other than if you want an entry level type haunted house this would be a good start. But if you have a certain high standard set for a legitimate spook then go elsewhere. read more

I have very mixed thoughts about this haunt. A while back sinister pointe was one of my favorite attractions. I would go multiple times to the same haunt, because it was incredibly executed. These past few years, i would say since the bloody mary maze, that it has gone downhill.... quite a bit. They have tried to expand their haunts into bigger experiences and bigger concepts. Unfortunately it hasn't worked out for them. They need to go back to their singular interactive mazes. Those blew my mind. With these bigger events, they just aren't getting their concept and ideas fully executed. Going to this year, A scary place... Well in other words, wasn't all that scary. Concept wise, I loved it. A maze for your phobias??? Sounds terrifying. Well I was wrong. Most rooms for phobias felt empty and portraying a home haunt. Acting was decent, but nothing blew my mind. For a maze based on phobias, I just wish they would have been executed better, and had more of a professional look to the maze. Evil on 2 was another maze, which had an amazing elevator entrance, but after that was more blank walls, spray paint on the walls, and very little props. Nothing special The boogeyman express was probably my favorite maze, entirely based on the cool concept. Acting on that was funny and enjoyable. Not enough scares but the best executed maze out of all of them. Luckily I went on Sunday when it was slow, because they only have one cart running. Which can cause the line to be very slow. They also had an escape room for $1, which was a pitch black maze that you had to find your way out with a few "minions" inside to scare you. Honestly it wad pretty fun and enjoyable. It was quick but worth the $1 Also i purchased my ticket on Groupon for $35, compared to the $71 my ticket would have been if i bought it on their website. In my opinion 100% not worth $71, I would say at most for this event i would put a $20 cap on the ticket price. All in all I would say sinister Pointe Please!!! Updated review 10-5-19 So I decided to try this again since they were doing something different from last year. The idea sounded pretty cool so wanted to check it out. It was opening night and there wasn't too many people but I guess that happens with smaller haunts. The employees were very nice and sociable. Gave tips and helped out and were open to feedback. It is in a mall right by best buy. It wasn't too decorated on the outside which kinda sucked... Last year they had music and a cool sign on the outside of building. It's basically a scavenger hunt when you get inside. You redeem or buy your tickets and then taken to a different room to hear the back story and the rules of the game/haunt. You're supposed to find 13 different artifacts for a chance to win a prize which is cool. We went in a group of 4 but you can go in as many as you'd like. You'll be going in with different groups as well at the same time and you're basically competing against them. The area is very large and FULL of fog. It's very hard to see anything but I guess that's the point. There are monsters around the area which is pretty cool. You can grab candles and use them as lights but that's all you can use. I think some of the rooms could have used a lot more decorations and could have added a lot more scare factors into it. So much potential with this idea! Hire me I'm full of crazy ideas that are very doable lol! It was fun though to do but it seemed like time went by so fast. There's definitely not enough time to go through the whole area and find all 13. I think most groups found 6-8. I think it was around 20 or so mins playing the actual game. NOTE that my rating is not comparing Sinister Point with other haunts, but comparing it with events of theirs I have gone to in the past My husband and I just went to this year's maze, and we had a great time. There weren't any expensive props like some haunts, but there were cool effects, some effective scares, and I really enjoyed the fact that it's an actual maze you had to find your way out of. I am someone that hasn't been going for scary mazes for a few of years and this place sure gave me the chill and the anxiety of "can't wait to get the heck out of here". In comparison to the other mazes that I have been to, like Knotts scary farm and universal studio, I actually much prefer "smaller" mazes like sinister Pointe. Thanks to yelp, I won a pair of tickets (face value at $26/ticket) coming here. And we paid extra $8 for the scream pass/ fast pass, because the line was just very long and move very slow. For extra $2 more (on top of the $8 that we've paid for) you could actually gotten into all night pass to get into all 4 paths of the attraction. We were hungry so we only did 1 maze. But definitely go for the all night pass, there is a slightly shorter line for it and it just a better deal. I don't want to give away what's in there, but it's quite different from the bigger theme park. You definetely could get much closer to the "host", with all the alone time of the space to yourself and your group, and much more interactive than just walking thru in and out of the maze. I was scared by the set up but not so much by the actors and actresses. I think they could have been a bit more aggressive with their acting. But because they want to make sure you and others get the "alone" time in each space, they do tend to move you up quickly, so it feels rush and out of theme and mood everytime they try to tell you to move up. But overall it's still pretty fun. I would bring my friends to come back for it again. Tip: the ticket booth is in the front of the building next to the 99cents store. So don't just drive straight to the back and parked or you would have to walk all the way back to the front around the building for your tickets. read more

First off, thank you Ryan C for the rec :) My coworker and I appreciated it! I've been to my fair share of Halloween haunts/mazes.. from Knott's to Universal to Queen Mary to LA's Haunted Hayride. It's nice to check out the smaller local productions and see what they have to offer. I agree with many reviews that yes, they were lacking in props but their special effects and the characters involved made the experience so much better. I'm sure that if they had a bigger budget, things would be different! There were 4 "realms" to choose from and I did get a mini anxiety attack from walking through the tight spaces and the fear of not getting lost in the maze. Warning: if you're light or smoke-sensitive, be cautious! I swear I was nearly blinded by the strobe lights because we were walking directly towards them lol. read more

I've been going to Sinister Point for years dating all the way back to Imperial and Alta Vista warehouse. Followed them each year as they moved to other Fullerton locations and this year in Laguna Niguel. I was disappointed this year with the experience. I'm bummed because I've always been a fan. Not enough actor/monsters in the mazes and the lines were just too long. We only went on each maze once although our pass was unlimited for the night. The mazes were just not worth the wait. Not very scary either. Not sure I'd go again next year unless they bring in more actors and find a way to expedite the lines without making customers pay more to skip a long wait. read more

The maze quality, intimacy level, and amount of actors. The maze Evil on 2 was comprised of between 20-30 rooms but only had about 10 actors inside of it, I got more scared the first time one of the clowns scared me while in line than I did throughout the entire maze. The first 2 rooms of this maze were great and then we did not see even one actor until 4 rooms later. They also forced groups of 10+ through the maze losing the intimacy factor that made the mazes better than anywhere else in past years. The mazes themself definitely lacked, not being dark enough, especially due to the fact that you could see the roof of the building above the maze walls as well as outside of the maze into the main room. The quality from past years set up a awe and scare factor that was sorely lacking this year and ended up just being a huge waste of time and money. I think focusing on the quality rather than the quantity needs to be more of a focus in future years. read more

The wait wasn't too long, I think I was just nervous and wanted to get it over with, but trust me, it was worth the wait and the price of admission! This was my first time at the new location in Fullerton and it didn't disappoint. The actual maze lacked props and consisted mostly of grey walls with occasional occult symbols painted on those walls. But just like the first location in Brea it was incredibly creative and scary as hell! (Other Haunts need to take note... *I'm looking at you, L.A. Haunted Hayride!* My favorite thing was that we never ran into any other visitors during the maze, it was like we had the whole thing to ourselves. And the staff was friendly and well organized. We came here opening night so it was understandable that things would be a little chaotic as they were trying to figure out the kinks as time went on and as people entered. Those kinks and unorganized moments were made up for by the actual maze though. This year they had four different realms and one would be chosen for you as you entered however they had an All Night Admission ticket that allowed you to experience all four, which is what I did. The All Night Admission was well worth it to be able to experience all four realms they had and they were each clever and creative. The use of the special effects they had made it hard to see in advance where scarers were which allowed us to be surprised and scared when it happened. They created it where you were very active within the maze which made it fun! Overall I was very impressed with Sinister Pointe this year and can't wait until next year! read more

I found this haunt on the net. We were spending a couple days in California and thought we try it out. I must say I was very impressed. It was in an old Macy's in a mall. It was very big but they did a good job entertaining everyone including having vendors for shopping. Lines were not bad but the wait was. Too long at times. But over all I give it a 5 star because on the 3rd floor they had an indoor hayride. Well something similar to it. What a great idea. I was very impressed. read more

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Not worth the 95$ for VIP let alone $20 dollars. The event was held in an abandoned Macy's which is fine whatever. But I most certainly did NOT get my money's worth. It's only three mazes, tons of empty space in the store, outside bathrooms, not enough actors and most certainly not enough mazes/attractions. The wait for their "Boogeyman" ride or whatever it's called was bad. The wait time alone is ridiculous for such a small event. I've attended other Sinister Pointe events and I hadn't been so disappointed with them. The other two mazes are just propped up mazes with very little decorations, not enough scare actors, and they keep them very dark I am assuming to avoid putting up more stuff in the "haunted" maze. No longer going to a Sinister Pointe event even if it cost $10.00. A very bad experience, extremely disappointing, bland, and super long wait times for only THREE mazes and extremely disappointing "food" trucks, rented porta potties (instead of using the bathrooms in the store which work perfectly), and I couldn't even go out grab some food and a few drinks and come back to at least make the most of my $95 NEVER AGAIN SINISTER POINTE read more

Sinister Pointe never disappoints and I have to say they really stepped it up this year with the new location and offerings. Not just limited to mazes but also now a ride and other entertainment. I have attended their haunt every year since they were in Brea. The Boogeyman Express ride blew my mind and was very creative. Definitely head straight for the line on the 2nd floor and get there early enough as the line gets long. I thought the marketing and promotional offerings were great and makes the event an affordable and attractive option. My only gripe was that the lines were painfully long but I am not holding that against the rating. Even after getting in line before the opening of the event, we still waited an average of 50 minutes per maze. It took away time from enjoying the other attractions a bit given a 4 hour event. read more

Meh. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't worth the cost. (We went on a Thursday) We definitely had fun and had a couple good scares here and there but it was honestly kind of a let down. There's too much open space and not many monsters. If you go maybe aim for Thursday or Sunday when it's cheaper? I wouldn't say don't go because it was fun but I can't imagine ever paying full price for what we experienced. read more

It was our first visit and we had a blast. There is not a lot to do, but what is there is VERY well done. Highly recommend the "dark ride" Boogeyman Express. There was a clown (with a broom) that was particularly engaging and really worked the crowd in a fun way. read more

Anyone that is comparing this to highly produced events like Universal Horror Nights, Knotts Scary Farm, etc are on another planet! The MIST event is some junk pulled out of someones garage, a few scare actors and some fog machines set up in an abandoned floor of the Westminister Mall. At $60 plus for a couple for a cheap 20 minute experience it's a TOTAL RIP OFF. On top of that they force you to take a picture with an air cannon bast in the beginning to scare you and then try to sell you the pictures for $20-30 dollars! Spend your money elsewhere on an event that takes even a modicum of pride in what they do and the production quality they are bringing to their audience! read more

I really enjoyed what Sinister Pointe is offering this year. In years past while there mazes were amazing, you would be done going through and seeing everything fairly quick. This year they are offering so much to do you can actually spend your night there. Between three different mazes, Mudd the magnificent, Monte Revolta, and all the vendors... there definitely is no lack of things to do! Amazing amazing amazing experience!!! So much fun and so many good scares!!! The actors here were committed to their roles and were extremely interactive. Misdirection is definitely redirection in this maze. Me and my friends are sure to make this another part of our normal halloween go tos, and definitely will make time to go to their haunts throughout the year as well. The only thing that was awesome about this night was 1 amazing clown who carried a pig toy and broom, the magic show and the live band. The mazes and scare zones SUCKED! We where there for 4 hours and spent most of our time in lines to walk through sad empty rooms and ride on a train where maybe 4 creatures jumped out at us. I'm sad because this place has SO much potential and it was just waisted. I'm just pissed off that I waisted my time and money on this nonsense. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! read more
