This is another fav ride of mine. When I'm tired and want to rest my feet, I love riding this ride because it takes a few minutes. The ride is very calm but it is dark. In my opinion, it's not really scary. If you come during the winter holidays, the ride is decorated with nightmare before Christmas. Honestly, I wish they would keep it like that. During the holidays, this ride can have a longer wait time because of the Nightmare Before Christmas but if you haven't rode it, don't sleep on it. It's so nostalgic to Disneyland.

One of my favorite rides! The first time I rode this ride it scared the crap out of me because I was a child and everything scared me at the time. Nowadays it's such a fun classic ride that I love! Brings back a lot of fond memories. I love the cast member outfits and of course the spooky vibes! I can't wait to come back again for BAT'S DAY!

Best to ride at night when the sun sets. I love the holograms and creepy paintings, the crazy witches, and floating objects. Always a good time!

Haunted Mansion isn't fast or flashy, but it doesn't need to be. The slow-moving Doom Buggies give you time to soak in every detail, and the transitions between scenes are seamless. Some effects show their age a bit, but that's part of the charm. It's spooky-fun rather than scary, making it a great all-ages ride. Long waits can happen, but it's one of those attractions that feels worth it.

Best ride if u love haunted mansion. And scary things. Always a must to ride this even if the wait is 75min long. Best time to see it is when they decorate it for NBFC.

My 1,000th REVIEW!!!! Love the relaxing doom buggy dark ride. The theme is always consistent and captivating, especially with the ghostly hallway mirror creating the illusion of a long hallway and the dining room view you see from below. They always dress it up during Halloween with The Nightmare Before Christmas film theme. I love that this ride is included in the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Minus 1 star because the building ceiling part was distracting when going through the graveyard part, they should have covered it in a black sheet the ceiling because it kind of kills the outdoor graveyard illusion vibe lol.

The Baseline: For a theme park attraction, a quality experiences must be provided, the attraction must be fun and engaging, an immersive environment must be established, the queue line must be themed, and safety must be a top priority. Queue: The line for this ride moves fast but can be long. About 2 years ago the queue space was redone to include new great photo opportunities while you wait. The ride is continuous feed dark ride but groups must take the haunted elevator room down to enter. Overall this is one of the best queues in the park with a ton of fun themed items throughout the wait. Attraction: This is a classic of a classic Disneyland ride that just binds you to the New Orleans Square portion of the park. It is a dark ride that takes you through a mansion populated by 999 ghosts via your Doom-Buggy. I love this ride and I love this experience. From Halloween season to just past Christmas season you get to experience the "Nightmare Before Christmas" overlay as it takes over the mansion to have added holiday joy throughout the ride as the characters that are normally there are integrated or replaced with The Nightmare Before Christmas characters. Scary Teddy shows up all throughout your Doom buggy journey and locks in the story and experience. It is a great ride to enjoy any time of the year.

Haunted Mansion is always a must ride for me when I'm at Disneyland and for that reason, I bestow upon it the honor of being my 4000th Review. Y'all, I've been Yelping hard for 16 years and legit, 4000 reviews feels good to me and I wanted to write this significant review for me for a significant place for me in my life, a spoOoOoooOky spot! Not only do I love Haunted Mansion so much and it brings nostalgia for days, but also, it's usually the most convenient and easiest to secure with Genie Passes, Fast Passes, whatever iteration or name they are giving to their skip the line passes for the year, that will undoubtedly change the name again next year. Disney cannot get together their Front of the Line passes - that's for sure. But I digress... Haunted Mansion is amazing! On my 1st birthday, I rode Haunted Mansion for the first time and was forever traumatized by not having my Mom & Dad next to me, but rather a ghostly creature. They thought it was so funny, they induced the same ghostly trauma onto me for my 4th birthday, laughing all along the way & recounting the story for years to come. With my Disney-obsessed parents both now part of the 999 happy haunts, the Haunted Mansion was one of the very few things my parents & I enjoyed together so that's saying something. It's for everyone! hahah After entering the Haunted Mansion, then passing through the Stretching Room & witnessing a hanging suicide, the queue can get a bit hectic sometimes. It doesn't line up well but everyone gets where they are going eventually. As you relax in a Doom Buggy, you are taken through halls of haunted hosts in various scenes. The ballroom scene will forever by my favorite and it passes so quickly! My best friend has been riding the Haunted Mansion for 25 years now regularly with me, and on the last go around we got stuck at the Medium/Fortune Teller scene. I turned to him and pop Disney quizzed him on her name and he did not know. YOU GUYS, MADAME LEOTA IS AN EPIC LEGEND! Any Disney fan should know and worship her. Do better. hahaha I kid but I do love Madame Leota, Little Leota, the Hitchhiking Ghosts, the Bride/Constance and all the Haunted Mansion specific Disney characters. The ride is 8 minutes in this Disneyland version but I've never been on it when it didn't stop for at least a little bit. Expect delays but you are in air conditioning and chilling enjoying Disney fun! Find the Nightmare Before Christmas version that they revamp this classic into during the holiday's own Yelp listing here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/haunted-mansion-holiday-anaheim-5

The Haunted Mansion is one of those rides/ attractions where I have grown to appreciate more as I've gotten older. I've grown to appreciate that this attraction is just a classic at Disneyland and all the details that have gone into making this an enjoyable experience. Over the years, I've been able to visit this ride under normal circumstances or when they jazz it up for Christmas/Halloween with all the fantastic Nightmare Before Christmas decor. I also appreciate the new store that the have near the exit of the ride now. My buddy also got me a tiki mug of the Hatbox Ghost character from Trader Sam's. Every time I got on this ride after getting that mug, I see the character and it makes me smile. Also, not too scary for the young ones. I went on this ride in late 2024 with my 5 and 7 year old nieces and they love it.

The attention to detail inside the Haunted Mansion is insane! Waiting in line becomes a fun, full-sensory experience.

One of my favorite attractions at Disneyland! I love it when the employees that guide us through the lines are in character and say eerie things. It just adds to the experience.

As a teenager, this was my favorite ride! Because this was themed Nightmare Before Christmas, it was tuned down a bit, which I wish was more scary. I think Halloween should be scary and Christmas should be cheerful. I was split in my feelings about the ride and sometimes you really want to be scared on a ride, which did not happen with the special effects and the Theme of the ride. Keep scary rides scary and spooky for those of us who really want to be scared on a ride...

The Haunted Mansion is one of my favorite rides in Disneyland. It's a classic and one of the last rides Walt Disney oversaw and contributed to before his passing. Unfortunately, Walt never saw it finished when it opened on August 9th, 1969. Although there have been many updates over the years, I still love the original Haunted, the music, the ghosts, the voices, and the creepy sounds. The holiday season overlay, which includes elements from the movie Nightmare Before Christmas, is a treat. It's exclusive to Disneyland and available from September through December for Halloween and Christmas. The latest major renovation was to the queue line. Extending the footprint of the mansion's lot, including new awnings, provides plenty of fun details that expand the story of the Haunted Mansion. Waiting in line doesn't feel so worthless now. There are also a few updates in the ride itself. You'll need to ride it to experience them! Lightning Lane option passes are also available if you can't wait in long lines. Prices vary daily depending on the estimated number of visitors to the park. What Disneyland trip is complete without riding this legendary dark ride?

The whole aesthetic here seems to be a combination of Japanese and Chinese horror which to me is super creepy... i mean, Ju-on (The Grudge)??? I went with a group of four but they only let two in at a time. There was no line which was strange being that it was Halloween night. The staff was really friendly and even asked if we wanted it less scary or really scary. I chose "less scary" because of the two girls with us that were afraid :P‍ That said it was still eerie and had a good amount of scares. The best part is (again) the style of costumes and viewpoint of horror, spirits and ghosts in Asia. I won't spoil the specific scares but there is one part in particular where I had an "oh hell nah!" moment 0_0 The maze seemed kind of short, maybe 7 minutes, but i wasn't counting. There weren't really any extravagant special effects which could be good or bad depending on the person. I feel a haunted house can be good without all of the over-production. That said, this does feel like a lower-budget haunted house, but at $15, I found it to be worth it and my group had fun too I hope this maze gets more business because it could be a little bigger and get more staff for scaring. It's such a refreshing take on haunted houses though and I want this place to be around for more Halloweens!

Almost all of Escapade Games' rooms have a horror element and are obviously targeted towards the colleges nearby, but not only was Rockin' adapted to accommodate parties of two; for this season, it was themed to fit the holidays. We also got a very pleasant surprise when it came time to pay for our online reservation: it was half the price of a standard room for a party of 8! This was a (happy) shock because we are used to paying for 3 or 4, even though we are a duo. The 2025 Pineapple Express had slowed to a steady trickle by the time we arrived at Escapade Games Christmas Eve after a music-less British pub lunch less than a two-minute drive away. The cavernous restrooms, located outside the lobby, were clean, and the lobby looked like it was in the midst of some renovation, but another game was going on, and since we already filled out our waivers, we settled down to wait for our game to start. And waited. And waited. And waited. When we finally started our hour-long game, after the technical difficulties were resolved and the game rules reminders given, all was forgiven very fast: as a bonus to playing a game that was getting ready to be put out of commission, we could take unlimited photos in the room! And there was so much to do in the music-themed room: even though not all the instruments were playable, and there were still minor glitches as we were playing, Joey was a terrific game host - he, too, made a quick recovery from the technical issues and was as determined as we were to have a phenomenal game. There was no timer in the room, but going by our photos, we were done in 52:48, with a lot of help. Our favourite puzzles had to do with the picks and bands, and playing the instruments to rise back up to the top of the pops as rockstars is such an original theme. The music played put us in the holiday mood - especially "The 12 Days of Christmas". That's probably not our favourite Christmas song, but it helped that I just got done with Susan Stokes-Chapman's holiday short story collection! Rockin' around the Christmas Tree is set to what we consider 3-G (Generation 3, with a lot of computer FX elements) tasks with G-1 locks, and, despite the late start, was very much the best Christmas present to set us off on our holidays! Joey, our heroic gamemaster, was a huge part of the fun game we had. We could tell he had started off not having such a good Christmas because the room's serious technical issues were clearly unexpected, but he fixed everything so that we could have a great time. We eventually realized the fantastic price we paid was not just because our game, unlike other Escapade rooms, did not feature a live actor in the room. Even more importantly, we only found out, after our game, that the room was being taken down to make way for a three-room movie-based horror adventure. We are so, so glad that we got to experience Rockin' around the Christmas Tree before it was dismantled, and keep our fingers crossed it gets a spectacular comeback in the near future (like the rockstars we were supposed to be!) That said, we are looking forward to checking out anything else Escapade Games has to offer - can't wait for more games in 2026! This review is duplicated on Yelp and Google.

DISNEYLAND RIDE #10: Haunted Mansion Holiday…read more The last ride that we visited at Disneyland was the Haunted Mansion Holiday. I was becoming exhausted and I got a TON of steps in (my watch tracked almost 10 miles and over 21k steps!), but we crossed back into Disneyland from California Adventure because my LTP wanted to squeeze in one more ride before leaving the park and catching the shuttle back to our hotel. They still had all their Christmas and other holiday stuff up at the time of our visit, which included the Haunted Mansion Holiday, a Nightmare Before Christmas-themed ride. Everyone goes down the elevator upon entering and then they are guided to these pod-like chairs. They don't stop, so you have to get on them while they're still moving. This is also the same when you exit the ride. About halfway through, the ride abruptly stopped even though all the background noise was still going on. I had seriously though that the ride broke down or something and we would be stuck for a long period of time and well after the park would close, but it started up again less than five minutes later. I don't know if this was part of the ride, but it was weird that we all stopped abruptly like that. Be prepared for a lot of twists and turns here, and especially look out for some funhouse-like mirrors towards the end of the ride. You'll never know what you might see! This maze made me face my claustrophobia fears and once I made it through I was half filled with anxiety and half filled with thrill. Needless to say, we ended up doing that maze again. Actually, we went through all the mazes twice. The other mazes are really cool and the 3rd floor one is also unique in the way that you go through the maze. I won't add any spoilers. I definitely recommend this haunt. They have promo codes and discounts tickets out there and I would look for them, otherwise it's on the pricey side. Happy Haunting!!!

Lining up, attendees observed a cemetery, complete with a friendly caretaker. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=0soEAYcpKJ3cnorgeAxJMA https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=w8-l0MpNgr93r1VGGyNHSA https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=uV2S5io-aK7bqoy6p-CpZA Once near the entrance, various Calico city officials stated the various crimes against Sarah Marshall and led chants of "Hang that witch!". https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select_video=tFH1ORB2hcC0EXkXusihqg Inside, the meticulously detailed sets were captivating, starting at the courthouse, then to the town jail, and so on & so forth through the fictional Old West town of Calico. Haunted CGI mirrors of Sarah Marshall were strewn about, along with a creepy baby for good measure. 2 "scary groots" near the end were simply adorable! The piece de resistance of the maze is also quite cool, which I won't spoil. Origins - The Curse of Calico is a worthy new addition to the scare mazes at Knott's Scary Farm, hence the posted 45 minute wait the first of two times I visited the maze. The place settings & decor are quite convincing, and warrant a second trip, of which I managed to do close to when the park was closing. Since this is the final year for Special Ops:Infected, Origins - The Curse of Calico may be my new favorite Knott's Berry Farm scare maze. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=Cmo99ppTKNbTSFEd6_hUEQ Highly recommend!
