Having appointments in the city around lunchtime means I get to sample a variety of food options. It can be challenging when faced with the traditional food court due to my gluten intolerance, but I've been finding more options of late.
I approached the SUPER FRIENDLY people serving at Sing's Vietnamese Chargrill and asked straight out, "Do you have any gf options?" The lovely gentlemen proceeded to list 5 dishes off the menu and I was immediately in-love.
I ordered the Massaman Curry with rice and a juice and paid a (comparatively) paltry amount.
The bowl I picked up was HUGE. Like, as big as my head huge. It was packed with vegetables and crispy chicken with white fluffy rice. I struggled to get half way through before giving up as it really was wayyyy too much food.
I was told the curry was mild but I found I had to get the rice / curry sauce ratio just right or else it had quite a kick. Keep in mind I have a sensitivity, spice-lovers would most likely agree it was mild.
There are loads of tables around the food court but I recommend going with a friend so they can nab one while you wait for the food. Seats go VERY quickly in this space.
Everything was bright and clean and service was extremely friendly. They also sell some of the cheapest bottles of water I have seen anywhere in Brisbane at $2 a bottle. BARGAIN! read more
