I was sitting in my lecture at uni when I had a sudden urge to eat atleast 50 Banh Mi. I was…read moreatleast 30 minutes away from the nearest Vietnamese melting pot, Needless to say I suffered horrifically for 3 hours with a hole in my stomach. When I finally made it to the city I found myself at Pho Viet, what I think used to be Viet D'lish, the really tacky shop with the pictures and fluro paper signs everywhere. Pho Viet's exterior is modern, clean and minimalistic, maybe even a little too bare? I originally wanted Banh Mi but as the name of the shop is pho I thought I better give their main dish a try, I also got a Vietnamese Iced coffee. The food and drink were pretty swell, the pho was tasty and had just the right amount of noodles to beef/beef ball ratio and the iced coffee was delicious as always. Overall a very good and healthy alternative to a lot of the other trash being served in The Myer Centre, I saw that they also had the famous noodle salad and a chicken soup on their menu if you want to have a bit of variety.

Veges & meat appear fresh and are well prepared. Very good value for money if you're looking for reasonably priced lunch options in the CBD.

I approached the SUPER FRIENDLY people serving at Sing's Vietnamese Chargrill and asked straight out, "Do you have any gf options?" The lovely gentlemen proceeded to list 5 dishes off the menu and I was immediately in-love. I ordered the Massaman Curry with rice and a juice and paid a (comparatively) paltry amount. The bowl I picked up was HUGE. Like, as big as my head huge. It was packed with vegetables and crispy chicken with white fluffy rice. I struggled to get half way through before giving up as it really was wayyyy too much food. I was told the curry was mild but I found I had to get the rice / curry sauce ratio just right or else it had quite a kick. Keep in mind I have a sensitivity, spice-lovers would most likely agree it was mild. There are loads of tables around the food court but I recommend going with a friend so they can nab one while you wait for the food. Seats go VERY quickly in this space. Everything was bright and clean and service was extremely friendly. They also sell some of the cheapest bottles of water I have seen anywhere in Brisbane at $2 a bottle. BARGAIN!
