Buck's Island really pleased us with a great pontoon and trailer at a wonderful price.More than…read morethat they proved what a quality place they really are.We drove from Indianapolis area all the way to Buck's Island because they had an 8 year old pontoon with only 267 hours with a 90 HP Mercury and a trailer all in excellent condition for only$16,999.We went on a 20 minute test drive and everything checked out.On the way home we stopped in Kentucky to fill the boat gas tank.Upon launching it ran for a couple of minutes,then died and wouldn't start.I called Patrick,our salesman,who got a mechanic to walk me through a few things ,it would crank but not start.Patrick assured me everything would be OK.We took it to a local marina(A and E Marine)who found water and sediment in the fuel.The entire fuel system needed a flush plus a fuel module to the tune of $2100.Without hesitation Buck's Island paid the bill.Hours later it is perfect.I am so impressed with how they stood behind their 30 day engine warranty on an 8 year old boat.They could have tried to squirm out of their responsibility by blaming the fuel I put in but didn't. Apparently the boat must have been sitting and the better fuel was a level in the tank when we test drove and the contaminated fuel wasn't apparent until it got stirred up.Buck's Island also had performed a 300 hour service before we left.They stood behind what they sold.I will drive there again when I need another boat .Mark Hanna.

Getting gas today was made so easy with the help of an amazing employee named Gavin and his…read moresidekick (didn't catch his name). My shoe fell in the water while struggling to get the boat in the spot. Gavin instantly dove into the water to retrieve my shoe and emerged from the water with grace. After, Gavin urgently sprinted over and pulled our boat into the spot for us. Gavin formally introduced himself and made sure to give each and every one of us a firm handshake. He proceeded to sing my friend happy birthday and was so knowledgeable about the marina. He pumped our gas for us and provided great customer service throughout our time at the marina. He was very helpful and gave us directions to the rope swing. We would not have found it without his help. Would definitely come back to the marina to see Gavin. He made me feel so at home after feeling so home sick. Gavin made me want to make Lake Martin my home. We love Gavin and all Harbor Point Marina has to offer! My complaint now is about Dion, the general manager. We bought a new boat from another company and they agreed to store. I went in and signed contract. THEN Dion gets involved and basically makes up reasons he cannot store the boat- long story short- his reasons were not valid. We confirmed and even had boat evaluated by Godfrey dealer. It appeared that since we did not buy from him he would not store- regardless of definitive proof -even having Godfrey dealer on lake confirm safety of storing boat without special equipment and even after we signed contract. Dion said he spoke to Godfrey dealer, but we also spoke to Godfrey dealer and took the boat for evaluation to confirm safety.I am a person who believes in honesty and integrity, I am afraid Dion believes only in money. Someone is telling less than the truth and I assure you it isn't me.I am sure Singleton marina would not condone his behavior and treatment of a long time loyal customer.
