I recently had a bridesmaid dress that needed to be altered due to it being huge on me. I went in and asked if I could get my dress altered and the older man sent me to their office to put the dress on. (Which was disgusting, spoon of peanut butter layed on the table, trash everywhere, etc.) The older man hardly spoke any English but pinned my dress up. I spoke to the man asking if he could continue to alter my dress in the areas that the dress was falling off of me, I showed him so that he could pin it in those areas of my bust, sleeves, and waist. He informed me that dress would be ready in 3 weeks. I showed up to pick my dress up 3 weeks later and they informed me that it wasn't ready yet, which was fine I understand completely on that part. I came back 2 weeks later and the staff informed me that it was ready, I went to try it on and it was still falling off of me. I asked if they could alter it so that it could fit, they pinned my dress more and informed me that they could. I returned 3 weeks later to pick up my dress and went to try the dress on and it still didn't fit. The older man informed me that he wouldn't alter it again. I informed him, I will pay for it to be fixed because I need it to fit and not continue to fall off my chest. He informed me that he wouldn't do it. At this point I'm frustrated because I have ALWAYS payed for services, grateful for services, and understand even waiting the entire process for this dress. He proceeds to let me know it will be $110 (for a dress that still doesn't fit..) I asked the older man if he could fix the dress and I'll pay more and he continued to say no. I asked if he could reduce the price since I ended up having to take it elsewhere. He reduced it to $100 and at that point I just kept my composure to pay and leave. So frustrating, I don't recommend this company at all for alterations. I'm sure they are fine at dry cleaning but for alterations, save your money and go somewhere else. read more

The original review was 8 years ago, and I'm still going there twice a week with my shirts and pants. This place rocks! I've never in over a decade, and I want you to understand this part, had a problem with anything I've asked them to do. Press my shirts, launder stuff, alterations for my daughter's Homecoming dress, sewing buttons back on, sewing patches onto backpacks, carpets cleaned, whatever, has there ever been anything but a fair price, a smile and thanks, and great service! Extremely fast with reasonable prices. I waited until the last minute to purchase a dress for a black tie event was stressed out to find the dress was two inches too long. I called Singer's and they were able to turn around my hem the same day for a very reasonable cost and did a great job. Will definitely be going back! read more

Moving from the San Francisco Bay Area a few years back, where the only thing that is affordable is the dry cleaning, I went to Dependable Cleaners with a heap of clothes. What would have cost me $45.50 in San Jose cost me over $200 at Dependable. I finally found another cleaner with reasonable prices and right next to my house. What great news right?! Every time I got my stuff back I had broken buttons which they replaced for free, but when a man thinks he has 10 shirts and only has 5, thats a big problem. Thats when I found Singers. 1) They are honest: one time I left a $20 bill in my suit pocket and they pinned it to my $10 tab. 2) They are cheap: that aforementioned $10 tab, a full suit and 3 shirts. 3) They are friendly: The cute old lady that greets you as you walk in, the little kids running around asking you questions, always appreciative of your business. Some fools writing reviews are talking about them being expensive to clean comforters and said it was SO expensive. It is expensive to have someone else clean your huge garment, you should bring it to a laundromat and do it yourself. Other fools all be tripin like, they ruined my clothes. I brought one of my wife's dresses to Singers with a bunch of beads on it because my wife was afraid she would wreck it. Instead, Singers wrecked it. We took responsibility for owning a fragile garment and paid them their $2 for trying. read more

I've been using Singer's Dry Cleaning for the last year or so with no complaints. As far as dry cleaners go they go a great job. My clothes always come back both dry and clean ... I guess that's all I can ask for right? It's a family operation that is still running things like it's 1999. By that I mean, you get a handwritten receipt/pickup order. I think the only computer in the place is the credit card machine or maybe the iPad the kids are playing on. Been looking for a great place to have my jeans hemmed. I was recommended singers by a local menswear shop and couldn't be happier. SHADY AF!!! I am so disgusted with this place I had to share my two recent experiences so no one has to bear a similar scenario. First, i came to pick up my favorite shirt - put it on at home to find there was a huge hole in the arm with burn marks around the edges. i was so sad. a hole burned into the sleeve of my favorite shirt! :( oy Returned to Singers with it to ask what happened and the guy claimed to Not Understand English. When I didn't buy that, he tried to pretend I must have burned it, (honestly!) so I showed him his dry cleaning tag stitched to the inside. He looked at me and did nothing.I asked to be reimbursed and he pulled the sudden loss-of-english trick again. I didnt go back for a few months. I recently decided stuff happens and to give them another chance. I dropped off a few items. ENTIRE ORDER LOST. Forget about an apology---No speak English excuse AGAIN. (I guess if you don't speak English you may not know we have a business value in this country called customer service.) GO ELSEWHERE and save yourself a debacle. I will never be back. read more

In all fairness I should point out that Ive only used this place once. I took a suit there to be altered and my experience was not so good. They did a good job on the jacket but a terrible job on the pants. I ended up taking them somewhere else because the stitching in the hem failed within a couple weeks. I guess thats 50/50. Im guessing they probably would have fixed the pants if I brought them back but I just went to my regular spot instead. I am aware that this review is of negligible value to those looking for a good drycleaner but I like to write reviews. read more

The WORST dry cleaners I've ever used. They had 1 shirt of mine for 6weeks, re-cleaned it 4 times, and each time I went to pick it up there was a new stain on it. Colors fad faster than anywhere I've used before. Tags are constantly coming off. They get away with their prices just because they are in the highlands. They do really sloppy work. read more

Brought in three shirts to be cleaned. They did a nice job. It was reasonably priced.

I had been using Singers for many years. Their prices are posted on their counter but for about the past few months I have been getting charged more. I have had to bring in my down comforter several times in the last six months (dogs) and the first couple of times I was charged $12. The next time I was charged $18, the next time $20, then $24, and the last time $28. When asked why the increase each time, they say it's always been that price. Will be looking for a new place. read more

Used to love this place until I brought some of my wife's clothes in and a dress of hers returned with holes. When she noticed I brought the dress back and was informed that I have moths in my house. This is odd to me because I have no other garments with holes in them and no moths in my house. They were no help at all and I will now take my money else where I also will not shop at the liquor store own by the same family next door. read more
