The doctor is world-class, the parking is highway robbery.
Dr. Alan M Singer went above and BEYOND for my ingrown toe Permanent removal surgery. I've had many in the past with different doctors, and never had anyone taken such care of my low pain threshold. I was so nervous because all prior ingrown toe operations before Dr Singer were excruciatingly painful. Dr. Singer's bedside manner was unbelievably warm and compassionate, and he didn't make me feel like a big baby for needing to hold my partner's hand and look away the entire procedure. He calmed me, and checked my level of numbness prior to operation, adjusting as needed. I was so afraid of the numbing injections because they've always been so painful. He was so, so gentle and somehow it was completely effective. Dr. Singer made me look at every podiatrist I went to prior to him and think "what were they putting me through?!". I hit the jackpot finding him, and I am so so grateful. He communicated with me weeks prior to the procedure and helped me prepare for the procedure down to every last detail, including the scheduling, to minimize my pain as much as possible.
Now the PARKING situation is another story. $14 is absurd - for an HOUR? And the office doesn't reimburse? Think about it: patients on medi-cal with co-occuring health conditions, living below the poverty line...you're going INTO a surgery on both of your feet, so it's not like you can WALK a long distance to parking. The ONLY option this medical plaza has for you is $14- and you cannot get it validated or even reimbursed as a medical expense. It just seems absurd to me to make anyone in this position have to pay that much out-of-pocket for parking just so they can get a surgery performed. The medical personnel likely aren't paying for parking. But the poor and the sick are. What a backwards world we live in.
Would love to give 5 stars, unfortunately, the parking situation is unforgivable. 14 damn dollars?? NO validation? I WAS GETTING FOOT SURGERY. read more
