We stayed at the Sinclair Inn Bed & Breakfast, earlier this week. Holly and Kyle were amazing. Their hospitality and kindness made my wife and I so happy to be there. We were in Jericho for a business meeting and did not feel like making the long drive at night, back to New Hampshire. I searched for a place to stay for the night and that is how I found the Sinclair Inn Bed & Breakfast. The gorgeous home is full of charm and history and all the lovely small details of a turn of the century home. Kyle and Holly were thoughtful and willing to accommodate our dietary needs. Our breakfast was incredible. Kyle made sweet potato waffles and blueberry compote. He also make yogurt parfait with fresh fruit. Since I am a vegetarian, Kyle cooked homemade veggie sausage patties. Fresh hot and delicious coffee, orange juice and cranberry juice completed this perfect breakfast. When we are in the Jericho area again, this will be our go to place to stay. The room was comfortable and immaculate and had everything we needed. Down the hall from our room, they have a small room that guests can use. They have a full size fridge with a freezer. It was stocked with bottled water and various soda/seltzer water. We had leftover food from lunch and it was so convenient to have a place to put our food for later. This room also has a microwave and K-cup coffee pods and coffee maker. I'm so grateful that this historic and amazing home is being cared for so lovingly by Holly and Kyle. Homes like this are so special and must be preserved. There is a nice parking lot right outside the inn. Best place we have stayed in years. read more

My husband and I loved our stay here in April to celebrate our anniversary. Kyle and his family were fantastic hosts - recommending a local restaurant that knocked out socks off (Jericho Cafe and Tavern) with great food and fun live music. Each morning the freshly cooked breakfast was awesome and helped kick off our days of exploration. Just a 30 minute drive from Burlington and local hikes. Our extended family had a delightful time for three nights at the Sinclair during a large gathering nearby. Dan and Tom were friendly and attentive hosts and their breakfasts were perfect variations on the "usual," especially the sweet potato pancakes and the bacon-wrapped egg and pesto dish. I can't remember what it is called, and I would probably never order it off a menu, but man was it tasty. My room was large and sunny; the bed was large and comfy. They have a coffee machine and fridge upstairs stocked with soft drinks and juice. Large common areas downstairs, and porches in front and back for eating and lounging. Well-tended gardens. The most wonderful, quaint and classic Vermont experience. I am from Vermont and was traveling home for a funeral. I found Sinclair online and am so glad that I did. Their amazing customer service started when my flight was delayed and meant that I wouldn't be able to arrive until after midnight. Holly answered the phone, walked me through the after-hours check in process and told me not to stress about it (which I needed!), to grab myself some fries and a beer during my layover (which I also needed!) and she would get me all of the information I needed. Once a guest, Kyle made the most amazing breakfast foods. I would come dine here if I was a local! I love that this place is run by a family. If you are traveling solo, with friends or with small children, this is the spot for you. The entire building is beautiful and every detail is well executed. We were looking for a weekend getaway in the mountains and found this place that luckily had one room still available. Tom and Dan are wonderful hosts who accommodated our needs in many ways. For example, we arrived late on the first night -- almost after midnight after the fireworks at Burlington, Dan assured us that the room would be available. The breakfast was also amazing. They paid attention to the details and provided us with all that we asked for, no eggs, vegetarian food, etc. Like all other reviews mentioned, the room was so beautiful and cozy. There is a small box in the bathroom that included things one could easily forget. Coffee and bottled water on our floor. Very considerate. We hope to come back again soon. read more

A lovely inn. Extremely nicely decorated, stocked with information, and a phenomenal breakfast. The room we were in was fantastic for our purposes as we were traveling with our 6 year old. He had his own small bed and we had ours. The innkeepers are service, service, service and just plain nice. They took us on short notice and only had room for 2 of the 3 days we needed after our Montreal location went bust on us. The actually called and helped us find a place for our last day. The also helped us find hiking, restaurants, and let our boy try to catching frogs out of their pond. Wonderful inn...wonderful keepers. The only drawback, which is really not much...is that it is right on the main road, but honestly, it is not at all bad. read more

We visited last weekend and met the new owners, Tom and Dan (and their dog, Riley). We wish we could have stayed longer, but the time we did spend was great! Both Tom and Dan are great to talk to, and they cooked a delicious breakfast. The garden is beautiful and there are several patios and decks to lounge on. It was wonderful taking walks in the morning and exploring the small town. It's also pretty close to Burlington, but far enough away to encourage you to visit some of the other places Vermont has to offer. We will definitely be back as soon as possible! read more

This was our first trip to a bed and breakfast and we are so glad we chose the Sinclair Inn in Jericho, Vt. There were many choices and after looking at reviews and photos from them all, we definitely chose the right one. Tom and Dan were absolutely amazing and made us feel as if it were our own home. The rooms were extremely clean and the decor of this late 1800's Victorian home was amazing. They pay attention to every little detail down to a refrigerator with water, soda and juices which are complimentary as well as snacks available in the dining room anytime of the day or night if you get the munchies. At bedtime, there are chocolates left on your pillow. Breakast is made fresh each morning and what a breakfast it is. I would have been happy with cereal and muffins but they come out with a fancy breakfast as if you were in a 5 star hotel. We brought games to play out in the living room in front of the fireplace while enjoying a few local craft brews and wine. They also have games available if you don't have any of your own. I could seriously go on and on about this place but i'll stop. We will most definitely be back :) read more

We loved our stay! The owners, Tom and Dan were welcoming and extremely accommodating. We ended up arriving earlier than planned and wanted to freshen up before heading into Burlington for the night. We called, as we were before their check-in time and Dan answered assuring us it was fine to come early! Upon arrival we felt immediately comfortable as if we were at home or staying with a friend. The house is absolutely beautiful! We were shown around, and pleased with their attention to detail... Including a mini fridge on the bedroom floor stocked with an assortment of drinks, a keurig with coffee and tea to select from, as well as wine glasses with a wine opener! Such a great idea! We stayed in room 3 in the front of the house and it was perfect for us. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They even left a piece of locally crafted chocolate at night when they turned down the bed. The only thing we felt was the room was extremely hot for us. We prefer it slightly colder, but we still managed to sleep great! In going over details when we had arrived, Dan had mentioned breakfast would be at 9 am the next day. We unfortunately had made spa appointments that happened be at 9 am too. Dan was quick to accommodate to ensure we got breakfast. We felt terrible, but boy were we happy... Breakfast was delicious! We met Tom the next morning, who was such a delight despite the early hour! He served as a liaison between the kitchen and our table, and he did a great job. We enjoyed hearing his stories as he went back and forth between the kitchen. They serve breakfast as a plated meal, and we received wonderful orange walnut bread, yogurt berry and granola (homemade) parfait, and baked eggs in a ham "basket" with tomato mozzarella and pesto with a potato rosti. The meal was hot, and hit the spot! Before leaving Dan even gave us slices of his homemade apple pie to take for the road! Overall we loved this place, and will definitely be back. read more

I found Sinclair Inn B&B on google, I was booking for a Christmas gift for my Mother - I was pleasantly surprised that everything looked just the way it did in the pictures. Dan and Tom were the most gracious hosts, asking us if we had any dairy restrictions for breakfast and were willing to go out of their way if we did. The rooms are quaint {each with their own private bathroom} and very New England looking, which I love! The Inn is located very conveniently {about 15 minutes} off the highway, and within driving distance of Stowe and Burlington. The food that they provided every morning {& snacks that are left out in the dining room} are absolutely delicious, and have you wanting more when the meal is done! There is no short of coffee or tea! I absolutely can not wait to go back, I think I found a new tradition for my Mom and I! Oh, both Tom and Dan also recommended an amazing restaurant just off the highway, that was one of the best meals I've ever had. You will definitely not be disappointed if you stay here, I almost don't want to post this review so other people don't know about the Sinclair. read more

I can not say enough wonderful things about this inn. I've been staying at inns from the east to west coast for 40 years and Dan and Tom's is now my favorite. First of all they are kind, friendly, generous hosts and their inn is truly beautiful. From the moment you enter the front door into their attractively furnished living room and see the lovely staircase leading up to the bedrooms, it just keeps getting better. Each bedroom is unique and beautifully decorated. My family filled the inn's bedrooms and everyone slept comfortably and raved about their rooms. The brunch is superb. It's as beautiful to the eye as it is scrumptious to your taste buds. There is nothing not to love here. When your stay ends and you drive away you will already be thinking of good reasons to head back for another stay. read more

We stayed at the Sinclair Inn for three nights this past June, Friday into Monday, and we loved every minute of our time there. The house and room were beautiful, clean and comfortable, the food was delicious and Don and Nimmie were wonderful hosts. Don was waiting for us when we arrived and we were greeted warmly and shown around the house and grounds right away, which made us feel very comfortable from the start. Throughout our stay Don and Nimmie were always ready with suggestions for restaurants and activities, provided us with maps and made our dinner reservations for us. Breakfasts were delicious, creative and different each morning, including a course with fresh, seasonal fruit. (It was strawberry and blueberry season when we were there) Our room was spotless and spacious (Room 5) and the queen bed was very comfortable. Even the water pressure in the shower was perfect. The self-serve coffee in the morning was perfect too. We enjoyed sitting and reading quietly in the main living room (great magazines to choose from), sitting out in the gardens, and we especially loved bringing our wine and cheese out onto the small and more private back deck. We've only stayed at one other B&B and we didn't have a great experience there, so we were cautious about doing it again. But the Sinclair Inn has turned us around. Don and Nimmie were warm and gracious hosts but never overbearing or imposing. It always seemed as if one or both of them magically appeared if we needed anything at all. They really went the extra mile for us with absolutely everything. On top of the great service and hospitality, the Sinclair Inn is perfectly located just a short drive from Burlington, but close enough to some great local eateries and activities such as canoeing and kayaking and wineries, as well as being very close to Mount Mansfield for great hiking and climbing. We'll be back to the Sinclair Inn for sure, hopefully this fall. read more

Sinclair Inn B&B is so quaint and lovely. The inn keepers are friendly, the property was breathtaking during our visit in late June. The gardens and the field were picturesque. What a great location as well. Jericho is a nice village with Snowflake Chocolate store, Boyden Valley Winery 15 minutes away and Mills Riverside park down the street where there are trails to hike. Burlington is not far. Our room was perfect as well. As for the breakfast...fabulous! My boyfriend and I just spent three glorious days at this charming Vermont Inn, and I can't say enough good things about our experience. The new owners (new by about 2 months) Tom and Dan are absolutely terrific hosts, and took care of us from the minute we stepped on the premises to the moment we left! They provided us with a coupon for discounted ticket prices at the Shelburne museum, and were always willing to make suggestions/reservations for dinner/things to do in the area. The breakfasts here are heavenly (Dan is an amazing chef!), and set you up for a good day of exploring all that beautiful northern Vermont has to offer! Our three morning breakfasts started with blueberry pancake poppers, eggs benedict with potatoes, and a hearty frittata filled with veggies, thick ham, and succulent cheeses ...and these dishes all came AFTER a fresh fruit plate and warmed biscuits which were also served! An abundance of juice, coffee and tea is served throughout breakfast as well! No fear of going hungry here!! We stayed in Room 4 at the Inn, however upon arrival we had the option to move to one of the larger rooms due to lack of occupancy on the weekend we were there. While all of the rooms in the Inn are charming, we decided to stay with our original choice being the cozy pale green room, complete with a spacious and well lit bathroom and authentic stained glass window! The windows have black out curtains in addition to regular draw string shades, which helped in the morning! The Inn is somewhat close to the road, and with our room being in the front of the house I could hear some traffic falling asleep. It wasn't an issue for me, but should be kept in mind for any light sleepers out there! The bed is super comfortable and we both woke up each morning feeling revitalized and ready to tackle the day. The attention to detail throughout the entire Inn is unbelievable! The downstairs living room(s) are cozy, comfortable, and well furnished, and I found myself feeling as though I was staying at a friends house rather than paying for a room at a B&B. Every night there were delectable savory desserts made by master chef/baker Dan, to which my boyfriends sweet tooth greatly appreciated. Pumpkin spice cookies, brownies, oatmeal cookies, and pumpkin pie were on the menu, and we sampled some of each (all of them amazing!). We were even encouraged to take a doggie bag with us in the morning to keep us going throughout the day (we didn't need much convincing....). In addition to the baked goods, individualized mint chocolate squares were placed on our pillows EVERY single night, which gave the Inn a high-class feel I wasn't expecting. The rooms were always impeccably clean and fresh, and our lights were turned on in the evening when we would be returning late from our daily adventures, adding to the cozy vibe. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we are so happy to have found such a remarkable place to spend some time in! Despite the less than stellar weather conditions during our stay, our visit overall was terrific, and was only made possible by the wonderful hosts Dan and Tom and their beautiful Inn. It is only a short drive from downtown Burlington (20ish minutes), and was the perfect mini-vacation spot to recharge before the crazed holiday months begins! We will most certainly stay here again should we ever find ourselves in Jericho Vermont, and you should stay here too! You will not be disappointed. read more

Lovely inn with MANY extra touches from the thoughtful selected toiletries in the bathroom, plush robes in the bedroom, to the upstairs fridge stocked with sodas and water and a Keurig coffeemaker! My husband and I recently stayed at the Sinclair Inn for a few days in May. Don and Nimmie, the owners, were delightful. I didn't want to leave! They made us feel immediately at home and comfortable. (In fact, even before we arrived, Nimmie emailed me to let us know that a larger room, at the same price, was available.) There was homemade banana cake in the dining room, free drinks in the mini-fridge, and wonderful breakfast each morning. Don and Nimmie even made my husband and me tofu-bacon, since we are vegetarians. The house itself is gorgeous- yet also warm and homey. Don was incredibly helpful in giving us advice and directions to places to visit and restaurants. Then there is the added bonus of their little Westie, McDuff and Bella the cat. They are adorable. I stayed here a year ago; my father lives in the area. While I've been in and around Underhill for many years, I never realized how lovely the community was until I stayed here! The owners are SUCH an asset to Underhill as a town, and the Sinclair Inn is an absolute dream. This is our favorite place to stay when we travel to Vermont. The owners roll out the red carpet for their guests and their breakfast is exquisite! Forgot to pack certain toiletries? No worries, they have you covered... we ended up staying here for the first time when a day trip stretched too long and we needed a last minute overnight stay... we had absolutely no toiletries with us. We were provided with razors, shaving cream, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and soap. They went all out for us. They also keep a refrigerator stocked upstairs near the guest rooms with refreshments for guests who are thirsty in the middle of the night. Unsure what to do in the area? No worries here either, the owners know the area very well and will be more than happy to provide you with brochures for all of the local attractions and restaurants... and sometimes even some coupons for discounts. When we stayed here for my birthday weekend, they even gave me a gift certificate to a local chocolatier so I could have a sweet birthday treat. Looking for a quiet day resting at your accommodations? The pleasant, warm and inviting atmosphere of the sitting rooms with their cozy fireplaces provide a great place to rest... that is if you don't want to rest in your already warm, beautiful and inviting guest room. Concerned about boredom on your day of rest? You can't go wrong with their collection of books to read and board games to play. We stayed here as part of a family wedding. The inn is gorgeous and the hosts were friendly and helpful. They have a lovely black lab. The rooms are exquisite, and the hosts were gracious in letting the wedding party get hair and makeup done in a common room as the whole inn was rented by the family. I stayed at the Sinclair in with my husband and 2 kids, ages 11 and 13 in July 2015. The home is absolutely beautiful, so much charm, so well maintained. Unfortunately, we were only able to stay for 1 night. I would have loved to spend more time lounging in the beautifully decorated living room spaces and the nice patio out back surrounded by their beautiful grounds. When we arrived there were cookies and brownies in the dining area. Upstairs there was a kitchen with a fully stocked refrigerator. We had room 6 at the end of the hall. The room was quiet. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom fully stocked. The air conditioner kept the room at a perfect temperature. When we came back from dinner there were local chocolates on our bed after turn down. So much attention to detail! Prior to our trip I had emailed the inn for restaurant and activity suggestions and received a prompt response with wonderful recommendations. Dan is the breakfast chef, and a wonderful chef he is. For breakfast we started off with some fresh fruit with cream, juice and coffee. Then onto the amazing French toast with almonds and bacon. They even packed up a doggie bag for us to take on the road. Tom goes between the kitchen and dining area. He took time out to chat with us, I only wish we had more time to chat! They have an adorable dog, Riley, who stays out of the common areas of the inn, but they invited my daughter into the kitchen to play with him. She loved Riley! The inn and innkeepers were so warm and genuine. I really felt like I was staying at a friend's home, We found out that Dan & Tom lived in the same city where my husband grew up and that Dan's sister lives in the same city as we do now.
