    Breakfast!
    Geoff P.

Sinclair Inn is a great inn on its own, but what sets it apart from others is the amazing hospitality of Dan and Tom. They were incredible hosts! I was impressed they remembered everyone's names, and really enjoyed chatting with them at breakfast and throughout our stay. Breakfast was also top notch!! By far the best breakfast I've had at a B&B anywhere. If I could give Sinclair Inn 10 stars I would. Definitely check this place out, you won't regret it one bit!

    Wonderful breakfast ... So yummy...

We were looking for a weekend getaway in the mountains and found this place that luckily had one room still available. Tom and Dan are wonderful hosts who accommodated our needs in many ways. For example, we arrived late on the first night -- almost after midnight after the fireworks at Burlington, Dan assured us that the room would be available. The breakfast was also amazing. They paid attention to the details and provided us with all that we asked for, no eggs, vegetarian food, etc. Like all other reviews mentioned, the room was so beautiful and cozy. There is a small box in the bathroom that included things one could easily forget. Coffee and bottled water on our floor. Very considerate. We hope to come back again soon.

We visited last weekend and met the new owners, Tom and Dan (and their dog, Riley). We wish we could have stayed longer, but the time we did spend was great! Both Tom and Dan are great to talk to, and they cooked a delicious breakfast. The garden is beautiful and there are several patios and decks to lounge on. It was wonderful taking walks in the morning and exploring the small town. It's also pretty close to Burlington, but far enough away to encourage you to visit some of the other places Vermont has to offer. We will definitely be back as soon as possible!

Room 4. So cute and lovely.

Beautiful place. The room we had was #4. Lovely and comfortable. Small tv, but we didn't care because we weren't in Vermont to watch tv . Haha. Breakfast was delicious. Tom and Dan are so friendly and sweet. If I'm ever in Vermont again, I would definitely stay here.

This was our first trip to a bed and breakfast and we are so glad we chose the Sinclair Inn in Jericho, Vt. There were many choices and after looking at reviews and photos from them all, we definitely chose the right one. Tom and Dan were absolutely amazing and made us feel as if it were our own home. The rooms were extremely clean and the decor of this late 1800's Victorian home was amazing. They pay attention to every little detail down to a refrigerator with water, soda and juices which are complimentary as well as snacks available in the dining room anytime of the day or night if you get the munchies. At bedtime, there are chocolates left on your pillow. Breakast is made fresh each morning and what a breakfast it is. I would have been happy with cereal and muffins but they come out with a fancy breakfast as if you were in a 5 star hotel. We brought games to play out in the living room in front of the fireplace while enjoying a few local craft brews and wine. They also have games available if you don't have any of your own. I could seriously go on and on about this place but i'll stop. We will most definitely be back :)

What an absolute gem. You want to stay here, I promise. If you're lucky enough to get a room here,…read more you're in for a treat. This place is gorgeous, clean, and run by the Ellis family. The rooms are huge, the beds are soft (too soft for me), and the bedding is like sleeping on clouds. They have everything you need to never have to leave really. Lots of entertainment, books, pool, and beautiful grounds to relax around. We had the pleasure of staying in the Gray room with a private balcony. The balcony is overlooking the koi pond. It's a great place to drink your morning coffee while lounging on the swing or in the rocking chairs. The breakfast is made in the house daily, the menu changes daily, and every day, it was SO good. We really looked forward to what we were having the next morning. Hosts are so great, I'm extremely sad we didn't spend more time here.

Upon arriving, you can't help but notice how stunningly beautiful and well maintained the property is. 'Meticulous care' is how I would describe everything about Ellis Inn. Not a single weed or blade of grass out of place, but not at all unwelcoming or stuffy. Delightful. We lugged our suitcases up the stairs and found our room. Large, simple and beautiful with a great view of the property from the balcony. The bathroom was luxurious and spotless. The hosts were incredibly friendly and kind, and made one of the best breakfasts I've ever had, with fluffy pancakes like you wouldn't believe. Next time we are near Burlington area, we will surely return for another visit, and hope you will, too.

Very Disappointing Experience - Would Not Return…read more Our first night at the Stone Hill Inn in Stowe was fine. The room was clean, well-appointed, and we had no issues initially. However, the experience declined quickly. Breakfast was mediocre at best. The omelet was bland, and the oatmeal felt like an afterthought -- disappointing given that breakfast is part of what you're paying for at an inn like this. The second night was where things truly went wrong. There was no hot water. We specifically booked this inn for the jacuzzi tub after a long hike, which was the main reason for choosing this property. Instead, we had to check hourly to see if hot water returned, never did, and ultimately went to bed dirty from hiking with no ability to shower. The following morning, the situation escalated unnecessarily. The innkeeper confronted me and aggressively asked me to step into the kitchen, accusing us of breaking a toilet and shattering porcelain on the ground. I was shocked and told him I had no idea what he was referring to because we did not damage anything. I asked for a moment to understand what he was talking about and was told, angrily, that I had "one minute." I declined breakfast that morning -- which was unfortunate since that's one of the supposed highlights of staying here -- and asked if he would like to inspect the room before we left. He refused. I even offered for him to look at the bathroom to see how it would have been impossible for us to damage the toilet, and again he declined. Importantly, we had tipped the innkeeper who cleaned the room, who reportedly found the alleged damage and cleaned it up -- yet noted nothing to us and showed no concern at the time. The belligerent and accusatory behavior of the innkeeper completely overshadowed any positives from the stay. This is not how paying guests -- especially those booking for a romantic getaway, honeymoon, or special occasion -- should ever be treated. We will never return, and I strongly caution anyone considering this inn, particularly if you are looking for a peaceful, romantic experience.

We had also wanted to rewnew our vows and hoped to use a room in the Inn. We knew there would be an added fee (and would have gladly paid) for the use of the room but never expected the unprofessional behavior from the owners! They wanted to plan the event or we had to have it elsewhere. Not considering the fact that our anniv is in the winter, "why not have it outside". ‍ In our talks and emails I was reminded upmteen times "we are a business". (duh)! When I cancelled our res (5 mos out) they wanted to fine us. And called our officiant and yelled at her! Someone needs to teach them Hospitality 101. To be fair, we never ended up staying there. The lack of their knowledge of what a Guest is, kept us away.
