Our instructor for our PALS class was Michael and he did such an amazing job simplifying everything and making a very long class interesting and easy to remember. He was also very approachable and made use of our time wisely! Kids are not my strong suit but he made me want to work with kids after the class was over. Haha. I retained more information taking this class over any other PALS class I've done in the past. Highly recommend taking his class! On the contrary, our instructor for our ACLS class was all over the place. I don't remember her name but she was a total opposite of Michael. It just felt so disorganized and confusing at times. I still understood everything bc I've taken ACLS a handful of times prior but I can tell that those who were taking it for the first time all looked lost and confused.

It use to be in person with an instructor who was off script a bit, but brought humor and stole a few hours of my time. Now the facilitation of the CPR class in current day is in my opinion improved in that it is taught from a digital instructor/video and took less than an hour of my time. For people like me who are just needing to brush-up on skills I already know, this is perfect. If you have never taken a CPR class before, it might seem a little strange and you might seek out a class taught with an actual human in front of you. Just understand what you may or may not be getting as to instructors/instruction and book what you might be most comfortable with. Although at the end of the class, there is an opportunity to ask a question to a human, you go the entire class working with others n the class and being watched over cameras but not by an actual human. Again, for a refresh, this works well for me. Efficient, checks the box of my refresh and relatively fast. CPR Society is easy to book classes on-line, electronically driven with manuals on-line and easy to complete with lots of time slots to make to make an appointment work around your schedule.

So there is no rule that you cannot bring an infant in the class, I'm a new mother wanting to learn, my child was SLEEPING and John ran up to me screaming "NO KIDS ALLOWED NO KIDS ALLOWED" I was appalled! David refused to refund me the $90 even though he has a 30 day rule and I purchased my classes 4 days ago. David hung up on me. I can honestly say Alex is a FANTASTIC teacher who really just wants you to succeed. He works really hard to help you get all the tools and training you need. It's on you to practice and get better. during the time of my schooling, I had just learned Blackjack proficiently and decided to go for an audition at El Cortez. Unfortunately, they told me they were full on blackjack dealers, but they can REALLY use dice dealers. Alex worked with me and helped me get better at the math and practicing with units. He gave me chips to practice my cutting and told me to come back whenever I want as often as I want but practicing at home too would be crucial for faster success. He was very honest saying it takes about 6 weeks to be proficient in craps and I appreciated his honesty and directness. I kept practicing, but my 5th week in my teaching job opened up and I took that job. Alex has ALWAYS invited me back to finish up the package I paid for even though I declined. He really wanted me to continue to have something to fall back on and invited me back on numerous occasions to finish training. I firmly believe he is THE BEST ISNTRUCTOR in Vegas and really just wants to see people succeed and get better. Even at this location 7 years ago, the other students also learning were sharing horror stories of other school not helping, not coaching, and pairing you up with other trainees that didn't know what they were doing. I never EVER felt this at CEG, I always had personal coaching every minute I was there from him or another professional, and everyone there would go out of their way to help you succeed. Alex is the best man for the job. I firmly believe he wouldn't do business with anyone that didn't share his passion to help others and am glad to see him pair with Casino Quest staff. I'm DAMN SURE his vision is shared by everyone he works with. I'd bet the farm on it. He's an outstanding coach and person, and this was 8 years ago before they even got "big"!
