I have ZERO record in my call log of any call from your office.I have ZERO voice mails from your offices. I have all of this in my digital footprint.The kicker is also have a digital record of an appointment confirmation at 6 pm Monday night so I could tell you I am confirming the appointment.I also have a digital record of you asking me to begin the exhaustive check-in process online which I did yesterday. So everything we have a true record of indicates I had an appointment this morning. Yet your operations people are trying to tell me they have been desperately trying to get a hold of me.

This experience has been the worst experience we have ever had with Orthodontist offices. This is…read morethe 2nd time my son has had braces.. the first company was in another state (put braces on several of our other children) and they were amazing. We are on round 2 of braces and our final leg whoo hoo!! When we first arrived we loved the office staff and the Dr. What a joy it was but over the past year it has turned into the most embarrassing and frustrating event. Aug 9, 2022 I payed half of the braces up front in the amount of $1,771.50. saying his father would pay the other half over payments: left contact information and all was agreed: I was told they would reach out to him setting everything up. (and YES dad has no issues with paying) Here is where the mess up started: Fishbein accidentally entered in the system that his dad would pay the rest of the bill up front. My second visit and everyone for the last year has been an issue which every time they say they have cleared up.....Let's get to why I am finally writing a review: Today, my son went to his appointment and when we checked out we were going to make another appointment but instead the receptionist decided infront of everyone in the room announce we can't make another appointment because of lack of payment on our account.....I was like I am confused so I called his dad he said he made $120.00 payment last thursday....so I am now so embarrassed because the lady now announced it to everyone that I have not payed and to find out this bill was payed last week I was confused. I asked how much was left on the bill? she said around 350.00 and he has a year left on his braces---I am in awe that this company has not privately dealt with this and in awe they received a payment last week with only 350.00 left on an over 10 months or more time frame he has on his braces. If I could do this over again I would NEVER come here again. I understand that mistakes are made but to continue to not fix them in a years time is crazy to me.....To not speak to a customer in private about billing issue is just unprofessional. To make matters worse the billing issue is not our fault.

Good natured orthodontist with wonderful staff and a fun, inviting office…read more Dr Runnels has created an atmosphere that reflects his priorities: family, the ocean, fishing, surfing, and a dedication to his practice. It's nice to enter an office whereby you feel taken in to a doctor's personal life, I feel it helps give a sense of the individual's character which, let's face it, you don't always know when meeting a new practitioner. I was taken aback initially by the virtual consult, if you're like me- don't let that stop you. So happy we stuck with it! Part of the reason I followed through, was honestly because of the excellent phone demeanor of the gentlemen setting the appointment. He was so positive, encouraging and reflected a confidence in this practice- What a great asset to the practice he is! Similarly, everyone in the office was equally as graceful. Look forward to continuing care here. We moved here from out of state and trusted in the online reputation of the office.

Based on my experience, I would avoid this practice. My teenaged daughter received a full set of…read morebraces from Stubbs Orthodontics. Over time, after brace removal and thousands spent, her teeth drifted back close to their original state. Upon a re-visit to Stubbs Orthodontics, we were told she would need another full set of braces at a cost of approximately $7,000. I reached out to Dr. Stubbs via email explaining it to be our contention that my daughter was not given proper instructions as to retainer use upon discharge, hence the drifting of her teeth, and that spending thousands a second time to be unreasonable. After that initial email (as I was instructed to send by her office staff) directed to Dr. Stubbs on December 17, 2025, instead of a response from Dr. Stubbs, I received an email on January 7, 2026, 3 weeks later, from her office manager Emily stating Dr. Stubb's position that my daughter was given proper instructions, it was my daughter's fault, but that "I'd like to work with you on how we can move forward and do the best thing for Michele-how would you like to proceed?" As the causation of the failed treatment was in dispute, but it seemed Dr. Stubbs wanted to work with us on a resolution, I responded to Emily that it would be incumbent upon Dr. Stubbs to suggest as to how we might proceed in my daughter's best interests, and that I looked forward to hearing back from Dr. Stubbs on the matter. I heard nothing back from anyone. I reached back out to Emily requesting a response directly from Dr. Stubbs. Again, I heard nothing, and have heard nothing. I can only assume, at least based on this experience, Dr. Stubbs not only hides behind her office manager in situations she finds uncomfortable, but also stonewalls parents/patients if she does not like a differing position. Having a healthcare background myself as owner/operating of orthopedic sports medicine facilities, I along with the treating licensed therapists dealt directly with patient/parent disputes, no matter how uncomfortable, and in person. Life can be uncomfortable at times, opinions differ, and hiding resolves nothing. Patients/parents not only deserved our attention, but it was integral in offering superior service and care, learning from each situation and building positive relationships. This is also part of being a professional, and an adult. I recognize the reason my daughter's teeth drifted is in dispute after thousands spent, a situation I feel could have been discussed as adults, and remedied, but there is no dispute that the owner/operator and supervising physician of my daughter failed to offer even the courtesy of a response to a patient's parent upon multiple requests, and instead, ignored them. I find this to be weak, and prefer a strong healthcare provider with conviction for my children. I can also only assume Emily's, or Dr. Stubb's offer to work with us was disingenuous from the start. Trust is the most important aspect of any relationship, much less when relating to that of patient/parent and healthcare provider, building credibility. We will be moving on to another provider we find credible and can trust to correct my daughter's teeth.

Hopefully it won't cost them. Another corporation not seeing the big picture. Their corporate policy is masks inside or curbside service. I came in as a first timer without a mask. 2 staff members insisted I wear a mask or I physically leave the building. They brought a mask and I wore it for 2 minutes. They took my dog to the back and I walked outside to take my mask off. Now I'm outside talking with someone on the phone. This company is cutting off their human elements, communication being the main one. I can't see any of the employees beautiful faces and now I have to talk them on my cell phone in front of the store. And then they just texted me my digital invoice that I am paying on my phone from the parking lot. This company is willing to jeopardize their entire patient and customer workflow in the name of wearing a mask. I really feel bad for the employees here who are working hard but still have to stress out with their customers about a stupid mask. Great staff, but unreasonable company policies.

This review is solely based on my consultation appointment. Never expected to write a review on…read morethis alone but the office left such a great impression that I felt it was worth highlighting. Amy called me in right on time, gave me a warm welcome and provided me with a tour of the facility. Amy used the word family when describing the relationship they have with their patients and it felt very genuine and refreshing to hear. The reason for my visit was to get a second opinion on the work that I had done at my previous orthodontic office in which I was not fully satisfied with my treatment. Amy was easy to talk to, very understanding and was able to give me a very thorough explanation on my current dental condition and did a great job in addressing my main concerns. Getting a chance to speak with Dr. Sims was also a great interaction. I truly felt that he cared about my concern. He was able to explain my issue in a very logical manner, and he gave me straight answers as far as a game plan and how long it will take to get my final results. Amy gave me a gift bag, provided me with information to take home on the consultation, and I even received flowers on my way out. (it was in recognition of Mother's Day, but still a nice touch ;) the waiting area also has coffee and hot chocolate available. Wish that I would have gone with this office for my Invisalign treatment back when I started in 2021. I think that it would have saved me both time and frustration.
